LORE
JARED IS DEAD!!!
yayyy. Thank god he is dead right..?
His sould/spirit will still be around awaiting someone to possess so he can still be able to be near Pat.
Funfacts, Pat and Jared Lore
{Funfact: since Pat can shapeshift, they can become anyone they've seen,know or known, and they can also be very very small/tiny in any form of their choice.}
does anyone else have the problem where no matter what you think your ocs are too plain looking. Because I know logically that none of my ocs are plain. But the voices. The voices.
They want me to do ten more piercings and more tattoos. I literally changed the lore just so I could give my one oc a facial tattoo because he looked too plain compared to everyone else ππ
JARED IS SO FUCKED.
yo soo yk how justice blew up the lab right?
If i follow out with what I have planned. Justice wont hold back on killing jared.
AND BTW justice is a player from blocktales and he has the dark heart, and hatred is still in him.
So yeah jared is fucked

I've seen a post about Lestat's many aliases and false IDs and can't stop laughing at how I accidentally turn all my Belle Night OCs based on the vampire literature that inspired me as a teen into almost parodies of their inspiration.
For instance: while Lestat shows at least 4 different aliases in that post, of different levels of silliness (Leston?? Come on, L Boy!), I have unironically written somewhere that Auguste (from The Green Star, which was originally a couple of short stories inspired by Anne Rice and Louis specifically) not only still uses his original name from the 18th century (Auguste Lavert) in his fake human IDs, he's been using it since the 18th century. Each new fake ID is the son of the old one and is also called Auguste Lavert. He is currently Auguste Lavert 12th or so.
His reasoning? No one pays enough attention to care and genealogies are easy to burn away when you don't need them anymore, why would he care to pretend he has a different name?
Auguste's level of practicality, down-to-earthness and scientific-mindedness would clash SO HILARIOUSLY with all drama queen (affectionate) Anne Rice vampires that you would swear I did this on purpose, but no. He started more brooding and dramatic and developed into this little by little over about 20 years of rewrites. The change was so gradual that I only noticed it when I re-read Interview in 2020 and all I could think of was how Auguste would only put up with Louis' narration for more than half an hour if he was scientifically interested on it for some reason. And even then he would prefer to have the written text to sift through all the "theatrics and relationship drama". Those two would kill each other if they were forced to share a cell and I would laugh at every second of it.
[Just as a fun fact, Alex and Rose's story was inspired by an old Dracula movie with dashes of a Romeo and Juliette story, and Alex loves and treasures all life so much that he doesn't have to force people to be around him. They'll literally start wars to give back even a tiny amount of the love he has shown them. Which is almost the polar opposite of how Dracula approaches love and community (taking and oppressing).
Meanwhile, Cristina and Diego actually predate Twilight by a whole year, but I admit that I revised both of them - particularly Diego - in 2010 to have grander personalities specifically because I was tired of all "bland girl + brooding vampire" so-so pairings of paranormal fiction and Cristina ended up being almost the anti-Bella: she's selfish, blunt, a little misanthropic even, but open minded, attentive and loyal in her own way. Diego is... well, he stole the hearts of everyone who read Noturno em Sol Maior ("Nocturne in Sol Major"), as a non-brooding (actual) teen that uses humour and charm to cope with some gnarly trauma in his past. Who also mostly respects Cris' wishes and personal space, except when it's funny for him not to.
I can't stress enough how most of this wasn't by design, I wasn't trying to be the opposite of what inspired part of those stories, it was just years of development that turned out this way. And I wouldn't have changed anything.]
Having two favorite original characters is genuinely dangerous because they have taken over my life.π
(I love them so much but omg I can barely listen to music without thinking about them)
