B1A4 debuted on the 21st of April 2011 under WM Entertainment. They were the company’s first artist.
The name B1A4 represents their blood types; B1 (Baro, blood type B) A4 (Jinyoung, CNU, Sandeul and Gongchan, blood type A).
The fanclub name ‘BANA’ (바나) was announced by Jinyoung in the fancafe on the 31st of July, 2011. BA represents B1A4 and NA represents the fans. Together it represents the word that means “fall in love” (반하다).
The official fan colour is Pastel Apple Lime.
Currently CNU, Sandeul and Gongchan are under WM Entertainment while Jinyoung is under Link8 Entertainment and Baro Hodu&U Entertainment.
