Both women who clearly did most of the work for their companies but were overshadowed by their workaholic business/romantic partners.

They both have passions for science, robotics, and engineering.

Both were thrown into computers by the useless men in their lives. Granted, Caroline was uploaded to the computer whereas Fiona was merely copied by the mimic programming.

Nonetheless now they go to incredibly great lengths to complete their programmed tasks. GLaDOS kills basically everyone in the facility to complete more testing, and for fun, but she deserves it so let her cook. Also Aperture was killing people left and right anyway so not a long of change there tbh. Meanwhile F10N4 is putting many technicians like Arnold in danger to try and recreate David.

But this isn’t about the robots. This is about the women who deserved more recognition and appreciation for their work.

I’ve heard stuff about William Afton potentially using a version of the mimic to try and get immortality with how the M programs would act like him. However, this doesn’t seem like immortality, it’s just the closest he can get. It’s much more similar to Quaritch and the Avatar Quaritch in Avatar 2&3; simply a copy of a person rather than that person themself.

However, instead take Aperture Desk Job. Cave Johnson’s consciousness itself seems to be directly uploaded somehow into the robot head, and I would assume that this is also the same process used for GlaDOS/Caroline. GLaDOS, however, recognizes Caroline as a distinct part of her, same as she does the personality cores that can be attached to her. Cave Johnson’s giant robot head seems to truly just be himself. So is Caroline immortal? I don’t think GLaDOS deleted her personally, but I also don’t think GLaDOS truly counts as being fully just Caroline’s uploaded consciousness.
