Another cat!!!
This one is Harley and she belongs to one of my friends. They requested her to be a "Stevie Nicks"-esque witch and, even if it took me a lot of time to find the best style for this, I think I did a pretty good job!
The colors took me for a bit of a spin, since I really tried to steer away from black clothes (my comfort zone!!!) but the vibrant orange and red in this really fit the style and the time in which it was made!

A few weeks ago I had never seen Star Wars. I was under the impression that it would be boring. Then one faithful day I saw something that sparked an interest, so me and my friend spent a week watching the whole 9 movies. After that I watched The Mandalorian and now Im watching The Clone Wars. And let me tell you:
I hyperfixated. Really badly. And Im riding this hyperfixation wave until it fucking drowns me.
Everytime I hear Genji say "Jenkenstein" I loose my cool.
I dont remember exactly when I noticed how he said it or what voiceline it was, but I remember having this idea immediately. So, finally after years, I had the guts to start working on this. Its still ugly, but atleast.... Idk. Im all out of positivity today.
I got posessed by the spirits of Art and made this. The pose was referenced, once again, from a greek statue. The name of that statue or who made it? I couldnt find out. I decided to change the position of the leg and the arms to give more of a story than the original pose.
As some of you may know, I have a hard time reading peoples faces. It is easier when its on paper than on a face, and I think this shows that I have gotten somewhere with my therapy when it comes to drawing and recognizing emotions on a face.

Rage
Did a thing, my friend did better tho.
I know I havent been at all active in here for the past.... month or so... Maybe more. Ive been feeling really down in the dumps about my art and been battling my growing sleepiness, and now: Trying to get into Veterinarian School.
So things are... less than ideal. Ill manage tho.
L'appel du Vide
The french have such a beautiful word for it.
The feeling when youre in a high place and have an urge to jump.
The thought to swerve into oncoming traffic.
The idea to push your hand onto the hot stovetop.
The need to flirt with Death and try your luck with her.
They call it "L'appel du vide".
"Call of the void."
Psychologists think it means our brains are affirming our want to live. They think the call is for life to take a hold of us once again.
As I look down over the balcony railing, I dont think that. I think its Death, affirming us of her presence.
"Im still here." She says.
"I will be waiting for you when you are ready."
Death mourns not the dying. She embraces their cold bodies and caresses their ashen skin. She welcomes them into the eternal night. She holds all the dead near and dear, a permanent part of her growing family.
The void is calling for me so often nowadays. She must be dying to meet me.
