Loneliness & Social Media: A Graduation Audiodrama Project

The Lore
When I was in my early teens, I would express my negativity on this hellsite and find others who felt the same. Sadly, this (and other circumstances) kept my mental health in a pretty shit place for about a decade there. It took me years of various forms of therapy and an extremely understanding partner to get me to start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Nowadays, I'm doing much better and I'm dedicated to making my mark on the mental health system. I want to help teens and young adults with navigating social media in a healthy and sustainable way.
My experience and my perspective
Over the last couple of years, I have gained experience and 2 degrees in media management and have learned about storytelling, ethics, media creation, marketing and many more media business-related things.
My specialty is audio media. Spending 8 years studying this, I am hating the media industry more and more. I see harmful practices from social media businesses everywhere and they try to hide behind "I didn't know that", which is truly bullshit. Not to sound too paranoid, but the damage done is real and they don't care nearly enough to take kid consumers health into account.
They need to be protected.
The Project
So, for my graduation project, I decided to make a fiction audiodrama highlighting the problems social media can cause to gently raise awareness and be the start of a (hopefully) longer running campaign to provide young people with help and guidance when navigating the vast corners of the internet.
How can you help?
I am but a humble student with no team surrounding this project. I'm still working on curating all the details, but if I get the green light, I would be looking for the following skills:
- Various Voice-actors
- A Graphic Artist for branding
- An Illustrator for character art
All of this can still change depending on the eventual scope of the project, but these three are definitively necessary.
Before all that is relevant though, there is one thing you can do to contribute to this project:

I can't be the only one with this experience and, while the eventual story will be fiction, I would like to gain more insights into how others felt when dealing with these topics in their life.

Everyone knows the classic sight of a leek sticking out of the grocery bag. But what if I told you this gentle aromatic was good for more than just her pleasing silhouette?
Crawling out of my hole to remind people that with this current update to Firefox (version 144) they've gone and dumped in their lot with a buncha lil AI tools, namely Perplexity as a new search engine.
So if the sound of that leaves your mouth tasting of tar, here's what you want to do:
In the url bar, type in about:config
It'll give you a big scary warning page that you might poke holes in your browser. Good. You want to do that. Click continue.
One by one, you're going to need to put each of these into the search bar in the page, not up top:
Each of these are gonna have a lil toggle icon on the right hand side that looks like a funky double-ended arrow. Click that and the value next to it should change to false. It all auto saves as you go. Some of these might already be set to false by default and that's peachy.
The next best thing you can do for yourself is to set your default search engine to udm14 or Qwant, but for now, we're just tidying the garden a lil bit.
Edit: This wildly broke containment for a post that was supposed to be me basically ranting and grumbling like an old man on my porch to my homies. If I’ve inspired you to follow through with this, peachy. That was mildly intended. Better yet, I hope I’ve spurred a buncha you on to do your own bit of digging and research.
