man i've seen people talk abt how femmes are able to Understand butches experiences of gender in ways that others cannot but the reverse is also sooo true. cannot imagine dating anyone other than a butch bc who else is going to see the combination of a) looking feminine, b) not being a girl and not wanting to be seen as one, and c) considering gender theater and femininity to be an integral part of my erotic/sexual identity - the same way i see it myself?? butches GET IT. i'm your pretty girl when we're in bed but otherwise i'm your darling Some Fucking Thing! being femme4butch is a subclass of t4t to me. TO ME

butch is an extremely diverse identity that intersects lesbianism and strives for a masculinity that is not rooted in the patriarchy. butch is a gender identity that means many things to many different people, not just cis white lesbians. that includes studs, butches on t, butches who are trans, butches who transitioned, butches who use he/him, butches who have a weird gender, boydykes, lesboys, and especially butches of the working class. if you don't support them then you don't actually support butches.
