Holy Rowlatt Act, 1919. similarities are uncanny. Abhi hai koi Jo defend karna chahta hai government ko?
interesting observation : RSS had a non-participatory stance during Indian independence movement.
i would also like to bring attention to some other major protests happening across India. I will attempt to make a separate, long-form post on each after i have done more research, but for now:
Manipur protest: Manipur, one of India’s northeastern states, has witnessed violent ethnic conflict between the majority Meitei community and the minority tribal Kuki community since 3 May 2023. Protests are ongoing.
Ken-Betwa River Link Project protest: Tribal families affected by the Ken-Betwa river-linking project launched a 'Chita Andolan' (funeral pyre protest). Led primarily by tribal women, the protest has been underway since July 3 on the banks of the Barana river near Kupi village. The agitation opposed the Ken-Betwa river-linking project and other development works. Their leader, Amit Bhatnagar is on the 18th day of his hunger strike. He is still in the ICU at Madhya Pradesh’s Chhattarpur District Hospital, where he was admitted on July 19. Though he was to be discharged yesterday morning, hospital authorities have not yet permitted his discharge.
Karnataka AI Township Land Acquisition protest: Greater Bengaluru Integrated Township (GBIT) is being developed across Bidadi and Harohalli, roughly 40 km from Bengaluru, spread over nearly 9,600 acres. This will displace farmers.
Nakti demolition drive protest: Residents of Nakti village, whose houses were demolished during an anti-encroachment drive for the proposed MLA colony, staged a protest at the Raipur Collectorate on Wednesday, demanding rehabilitation and reconstruction of their homes.
Amazon Data Centre Protest: Several hundred people staged a protest against a proposed data centre of Amazon in Balkum area of Thane city. It would pose an environmental threat, create noise pollution and consume large amounts of water and electricity. The data centre, planned on a 53-acre plot, will require at least 12 million litres of water every day besides "unlimited electricity". It was also apprehended that it would generate continuous noise, posing a health risk as large residential complexes, five schools and three hospitals including a children's hospital are located within its one km radius.
guys, just block anyone who's not willing to be reasoned with and spreading fake news atp. debates are supposed to be fruitful for both parties but certain people are never willing to take your POV into account because they never developed that part of their brain which helps in critical thinking. I'm not pointing out anyone specific but if the shoe fits, wear it, Cinderella.
BJP has done a lot for our country. Please don't be inconsiderate about it. Every party has its flaws. Just one time where BJP fails, the entire generation comes after them.
I can list countless incidents that had happened in the congress rule as well. Why only speak now? Why not then? Isn't this a propaganda too?
I'm not saying the protest is wrong, I'm saying blaming the party is wrong. They are taking accountability. They always have, every time they mess up.
The news shows everything, and you can clearly see the students being aggressive too. They're getting back what they did by ILLEGALLY protesting.
What good will resignation do? This is not a solution.
i need you to read your own shit again, slowly. you contradict your own statements.
"government is taking accountability, they always have" this tells me all I need to know about how much you actually read instead of following blindly whatever shit the godi media serves you.
Multiple terror attacks happened in India in the last fifteen years. Zero press conferences, zero accountability. J&K governor mentioned in an interview about how the PM (aapke lord modi) and Ajit Doval silenced him from taking accountability and to admit the pulwama terror attack happened because of security lapses on their end!
you know what real accountability looks like? it looks like Jawaharlal Nehru doing a press conference following the 26/11 attacks. Union minister Shivraj Patil resigned on 30 November taking MORAL responsibility. you even know what moral means? i doubt because BJP clearly does not know it's meaning, neither does it have any.
Protest kaisa bhi, kuch bhi hua ho. Police MAAR nahi sakti. even if unko orders the, police MAAR NAHI sakti.
BJP has failed numerous time, beta. Value of rupee is at an all time low. unregulated addition of ethanol to petrol in the name of reducing it's price but there's NO price reduction plus it's ruining mileage. Potholes, no sidewalks to walk on, air is polluted, women are not safe (BJP welcomes rapists with garlands btw), corruption, FUCKED up foreign policies, we are taxed on everything and still don't know where that money goes, vote chori, communal hatred, giving our lands to Adani and Ambani for 30 rupees, NOT A SINGLE WORD ON MANIPUR!!!!
Kal tumhare papa Modi desh bech khayenge Israel or USA or tum taali bajate rahoge. melody khane ke bajaye, Mentos khao aur dimag ki batti jalao.
Inquilab zindabad, Jai Bhim, Jai Hind.

I saw someone comment somewhere with a lyric of 'hum dekhenge' and how it's 'hinduphobic' and I just wanna say whoever you are, you are doing great, sweetie! you're just one search away from getting know in what context that song was originally written! good job!
it's so cute to see some very right wing people believe they're the most educated, politically well read individuals in the country, I love that they think that some half boiled nonsense is a 'gotcha!' moment.
I've read so many stupid takes about the current scenario of the youth protest happening in India right now, like I'm honestly surprised people can actually lack critical thinking.
1. "CJP and Sonam wangchuk are making this entire thing political" : protests ARE political, I don't know how or why you think that this is being "manipulated" by these people to politics when protests are deeply rooted in politics.
2. Rahul Gandhi, leader of opposition was present, so i will not support the protest/they made it political : he's the leader of opposition, his entire job is to make sure the government is doing it's work and to criticize it. it is OBVIOUS that you're going to see him there 🤓
3. Anti-national slogans are being thrown around : there are no anti-national slogans being thrown around 😭 the people on ground are literally having an entire karaoke to patriotic music. besides, any unwarranted slogans were asked to be stopped, and the people yelling those were asked to leave as well. Also, 'Jai Bhim' isn't anti national or anti Hindu. if you think it's "anti-brahman", just stop. Dr. BR ambedkar is the 'father of Indian democracy', it is to honor him. and if a slogan that just is trying to represent the marginalized communities in India makes you uncomfortable, then you're just casteist bro. (saying this as a privileged Brahman hindu). The only slogans allowed at protest are, "inquilab zindabad", "Jai bhim", "Dharmendra Pradhan istifa do" and "bharat mata ki jai"
4. The people are using slogans like 'Naam rahega sirf Allah ka' : first off, the first 'slogan' is a lyric from a song called 'hum dekhenge' written to protest against the authoritarian regime of General Zia Ul Haq in 1979 by Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Secondly, it was also used in the kashmir files and no one said anything then but using it as a form to protest today is a problem (*cough* you're just insecure in your faith and Islamophobic *cough*). The person singing this song at the protest clarified that that lyric represents the energy present inside the people.
5. Something about Kunal Kamra, I don't remember : bro 🤣 Kunal Kamra said one line because of which most people are frying him and that's 'Sita ke Pati ka Naam lekar, Nita ke Pati ka kaam kar rahe hai', a dig at Modi government who claims to be hindu and is very close with the billionaires of our country always trying to benefit them instead of the general public. I don't see what's genuinely offending about this statement, help a girl out lmao. But it's interesting to note that these same people have no objections when BJP makes Hanuman ji dance for their political rally, no word about the ram mandir scam, constantly tries to compare Modi and Amit Shah as Hindu gods. The selective outrage needs to be studied, like are you guys protecting the religion (that doesn't need your protection, by the way, we survived far worse but when a right wing hindu party is in power suddenly we are all in danger 🤣 maybe the real danger was always BJP #thinking) or the government?
If you still support bharatiya janta party after the shenanigans they pulled off on 20th July by using the state machinery as a way to instill fear in the public, throwing tear gas at peaceful protestors, harass the girls, beat the people up with nail embedded bats and just anything and everything to the people who are trying to fight for their rights, then I'm sorry but you're just as spineless.
it's your right to not choose CJP, that's fine. but refusing to acknowledge that Modi government is fascist and irresponsible IS WRONG. Zero press conferences by the PM in fifteen years, paper leaks, zero accountability for terror attacks that happened in the country (after the pulwama terrror attack, former J&K governor said in an interview he was silenced by PM and Ajit Doval to not speak about the security lapses on their end) and then also ask for votes in the name of the martyrs.
I hope you people wake up before it's too late and hopefully this post reaches people willing to listen and have a mindful conversation instead of doing andhnamazi of the government. grow a spine.
PS : if you think the students protesting are anti national and terrorists then shouldn't we investigate the Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah on how there are so many 'terrorists' were able to come to the heart of the capital? like you should be asking for his resignation for compromising national security on such a huge level 🤣
"nobody funds me, I hate this corrupt government for free"
