Something I just noticed is that one of Emily's main criticisms of Luke is him being divorced, but in Season 5, when Chris comes to their wedding, he is also divorced and even has a child from that marriage

Emily Gilmore is the definition of an emotionally immature parent.. in s2, ep1; she has a clear understanding that her and richard's temperament and parenting style is the cause of lorelai not sharing her engagement news because she pushes richard to apologize to rory.. but then in ep2 she is so cold and nasty like it's not her own fault she doesn't know. I get being hurt but where is the self reflection?? like of course this is an obvious realization but I feel like sometimes the gg subreddit (and myself at times) is/are so hard on lorelai! but really she has every reason to act the way she does

i FINALLY got my best friend to watch gilmore girls after 4 long years of trying. she absolutely loved it and started rewatching immediately upon finishing. please clap for my persistence and dedication
