life, cupcakes, and carpe diem

So, in about two weeks, I graduate from high school and then it's off to college I go. God knows it was just yesterday that I entered high school unsure and friendless. The thing is I am both ready and not ready for the next chapter of my life. I am eager for the new start, but I am afraid of how fast everything is moving. Unlike moving from middle school to high school I will actually know people at my college next fall and my only hope is that they forget who I was in high school. Not because I was a bad person, but because I wasn't who I wanted to be. Well MHSA, it's been real but we gotta part ways. Hello UWSP and the rest of my life

About a week ago I had decided that I wanted to lose some weight because I had no energy. Yesterday, something told me to step onto the scale and I did. My weight was at a whopping 180 pounds. I was horrified! I looked exactly the same as I had always did. I just went up a bra size. I thought I weighed the same 158, but I had gained approx.. 20 pounds in the course of my senior year! Now, I have to lose more weight than I had wanted to. As much as this sucks and seeing myself gain this much weight, it was an eye opener. I've been saying I would lose 15 pounds for the past 5 years. Now, I have to lose weight because it is a health issue for me and I really need to take a step back and evaluate my lifestyle. I also know that there are a lot of big and beautiful women, but I'm not one of them. It is also a matter of my health because at this weight I could be a border-line diabetic. I have seen the effects of diabetes and the harm that it has caused. So cheers to a healthy lifestyle.
