To motive runners and athletes for the upcoming year, Nike has teamed up with French illustrator-director McBess to create personalised animated videos for over 100,000 Nike+ users. The one-minute videos summarise your activity over the past 12 months and encourages you to outdo your 2014 accomplishments. Each film is created using location, weather, activity and individual Nike+ movement data, says Nike. Meaning a runner from Toronto would receive a completely different film to an NTC user in New York. Our Nike+ members accomplished some amazing things in 2014, and we wanted to inspire them to push for new goals and opportunities in 2015 by sharing some of the magic behind their data in an artistic and unexpected way, said David Schriber, Vice President, North America Brand Marketing at NIKE, Inc. We wanted to show the energy and a defiant playfulness that our members could relate to. Each video is a personalized story of a year of hard work, whether from an individual or an entire city, they reflect the conviction and effort that goes into making your year count.
