Parables

Okie this I barely got this done but the next couple of weeks will be more scattered because of school and family stuff but I hope I can still post frequently <3

Whoops. A day late again but O well. I’m just messing around with the backgrounds now

Their eyes glistened.

The air felt heavy in the crowded room. A sense of anxious energy was almost palpable as the young Lochwings milled about. They chittered nervously to one another as they waited in anticipation. 

The room fell deadly silent as a door opened and a wizened, old figure stepped out. “The council has chosen...Rena Chamberlain to be taken to Paradise.” The figure beckoned the girl to his side. 

Rena paused a moment to look at another girl questioningly before she shuffled towards the man. A foot was moved in front of Rena’s leg and she tripped, flaring her wings to regain balance. She stood there, embarrassed, for a few seconds before the crowd urged her to the man. The two turned to the door and walked out. 

As the door closed, one girl shambled a few paces before tripping and landing on the floor with a thud. The stares of the other Lochwings turned to her. They watched as she burst into hysterical sobs. The Lochwings gazed in confusion and shock. No one had expected this outcome. They started to file out until only the girl was left. 

Her body was wracked with sobs. After a while of laying on the ground, she began to stop crying. She wiped her eyes and stood up. The door opened and mid-day sun streamed in. The leaves shivered with the cool spring breeze. 

She spread her wings and took off. The hunting sector was dangerous for Lochwings, but she needed someplace to think.

Somewhere no one would think to look.

Oki we’re gonna be posting on Sundays even though this boi is on Monday. My weekend was pretty packed :) -M

Hahah I fixed more things this time :) I am having a bunch of fun with this lol

Well, I suppose I should begin with “Welcome.” I’m Martha and I will be making comics for this story following a couple characters :) This was a whole lot of fun and I can’t wait to make many, many more >:) also I can’t draw well yet but hopefully, I’ll get better. (Also I forgot a bunch of stuff on this one but I swear I’ll get better about it!!)
