if you're like even a little bit sincere in your belief in restorative justice you'll keep seeing it forever. "X did Y to Z" isn't important because Z was harmed, what's important is that X is a bad person for doing Y. we can keep bringing up that X did Y forever YEARS after the fact, no matter how the situation has been handled privately between X and Z, because what happened to Z isn't important. What's important is that X doing Y makes X a terrible person forever. You see this a lot in the lily orchard harassment campaign.

well yesterday i found out that my coworker who is also in a long term sapphic relationship is also a cis woman dating a trans woman. which is kind of crazy just statistically speaking.

and then i remembered the time my third coworker told us about a client she saw the file for who was an elderly trans woman who transitioned in the 80s and her wife was her caretaker. i brought it up to my girlfriend and she pointed out that the two of us had definitely been litmus testing each other without realizing both of us were probably thinking the same thing

hi transfems. love you. I hope everyone is kinder to you as time goes on. I hope people scrutinise you less. I hope people listen to you more. I hope people just let you live your lives. trust that I am by your side okauy? we're in this together. I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare

if you are tme and dating a trans woman, you need to constantly be aware of things she may still feel pressure to do in a relationship. you need to be concious and active. you should ensure that she is never on the outside of the sidewalk. you need to lead her through crowds with your hand on her waist. you must open her car door for her. all the "chivalrous" things she's had to worry about performing all these years, you must make sure she never has to do them again.
