i thought it was really funny that caldarus doesn't really give you a choice whether or not you'd collect essence for him, but lore wise, miji would definitely feel intimidated into doing what he wants 😭

considering she knows next to nothing about how powerful dragons are, she would discreetly be looking into them on the side to see if making an escape is possible (she needs her life intact not only for herself but her siblings at home)

miji would seek eiland out for his knowledge but won't come empty-handed; artifacts for wisdom, essentially a trade.

eiland misunderstands this as having a colleague as passionate about history as he is. i mean, she IS interested but not for the same reasons as he 😭 but he doesn't need to know all that <3

with miji's "very evident interest in archeology", eiland would feel compelled to invite miji into snack time during his museum shifts to talk more history.
