11/14/22 UPDATE: I’ve taken both “Naruto: The Last King, The Last Priest” and “Therapist R. J. Hill” off my etsy store. Both comics can be read, in their entirety, on this tumblr.
It is officially ten years since I posted this to tumblr.
I was going through some notebooks and found the first doodle on a page of notes for my “family systems therapy” class that lead to the creation of this comic
I have a lot of big things I’m working on, as well as a new job I’m adjusting to. I hope to share new art soon.

Continuing work on the Giant commission
This piece was made for the Queer Culture Club's winter quarterly, the theme of which was "Gravegoods."
Additional commentary within the quarterly, written by Red Angus, says "There are a surprising number of ancient preserved bodies, especially including the mummies of ancient Egypt. These bodies give enormous information about their times and cultures, and the objects, clothing, and other artifacts cast a light back into a pre-dawn darkness. Here are some starting points for further research:
iceman.it for info on Otzi, a person older than the pyramids, whose tattoos follow acupuncture lines still used today! Found in the Alps between Austria & Italy.
penn.museum has a good article on Inca child-sacrifice mummies, who like Otzi were preserved by their altitude.
museumsilkeborg.dk has lots of good info on Tollund Man, an iron age sacrifice found preserved in a peat bog.
The artist also recommends 'The Prehistory of Sex,' a book by Timothy Taylor."

My partner and I have art in this show!
Sweethearts: a T4T art show, presented at Common Objects art gallery. Opening night -- February 13th -- will feature an artist's market. While Gus won't be able to attend the market, I will be there! I will have printed copies of my comics and the Queer Culture Club's quarterly (which my partner runs and prints).
There are so many cool trans artists in this show. Give it a look, if you have the opportunity.

A patchwork pillowcase made of an experimental/practice weaving on my Ashford loom and old shirts.
the commissioner gave permission for me to post work in progress pics of the giant 3ft by 4ft painting I’m working on. I had the genius idea of taking my final sketch for this painting, blowing it up to the full 3ft by 4ft, printing it out, and then transferring the sketch onto the wood panel with carbon paper. Renaissance artists had the camera obscura, I have this convoluted process.
I recognize the face looks slightly terrifying at this stage, but this is my first experiment with using paint pens as a guide/outline.
So much of painting is “painting a detail, painting over the detail, painting a detail, painting over the etc. etc…”
Dewey draping his heavy, fuzzy body over my entire thighs during 87 degree weather in an unairconditioned apartment does make for a challenge.
I appreciate days when I’m able to get in some painting after work

I can’t print out the references for my big commission until tomorrow, so I’m working on a new weaving. It could turn out with some cool color effects or very muddy! We shall see.
2 hours later…
Decided that doing the diamond twill pattern in teal was too much of a pain, having to keep switching the yarn colors. I’m gonna continue the twill, but keep all the weft as variegated yellow.
I need to experiment with color and texture on their own, instead of both at once!
Me and the weaving have come to an understanding of our mutual limits… I have dropped my design complexity from a 6 to 4 to save my wrists and shoulders some pain.
I had to crop my pasty hairy thighs out of this pic.
