I went to university for Games art where I learnt about art fundamentals and generating assets for games (both 2D and 3D) I felt this would be a good degree to pursue as I love the games industry and felt learning 3D would be a great skill.

I ended up going and 3D stressed me out to no end. I remember having panic attacks at lunch times because I would have 3D the next lesson. I learnt a lot at university, even if a lot of it was me fumbling my way through it. It is what allowed me to get my current job.

I will attach some images of my first university project and my last so you can see what my 3 years were like. As I stated in my first post I have gained a want to improve at 3D creation and plan to document it in this tumblr blog!

My last for University

My first model done just for me! What a perfect start to this blog. I went to university for three years and learned game art but that made me dislike 3D creation. I work as a 3D Generalist for a company and a recent project made me fall in love with 3D again. This was my first personal project after re-finding my passion for 3D.

I wanted to do something relatively easy but something I have never really done before. I used blender for the initial base but struggled with the sculpting tools in blender so I switched over to zbrush.

I plan to do some practise sculpts soon and I want to make some more 3D models to further improve. I hope to learn lots and enjoy creating again.

So thank you Cat wizard for opening my eyes to enjoying personal projects again.
