fawley-en-face:
Henry was daydrinking. Was it the most practical use of his time? No, but he didn’t feel like seeing his mind healer and he was sad and having a hazy alcoholic film over everything, even if for a little bit, seemed a better use of his time than sitting in the dark listening to sad music and slowly spiraling.
As such, when he opened the door and found Pandora Kane on his stoop, he had to blink a few times and take an awkward pause to fully understand what she was saying to him very very fast.
“Come in,” he said simply, moving out of the doorway so she could enter Camilla’s flat, and then leaning against the back of the sofa. Daisy, the little french bulldog, rushed into the hallway to say hello to the newcomer. Ivan was probably napping somewhere upstairs in the rafters of Henry’s bed.
He ran a tired hand across his face. He knew precisely how Pandora was feeling right now, although to be honest he hadn’t thought of her at all in quite some time. He knew her husband better than her, honestly.
“If you’ve got any ideas, of course I’ll help,” he said. “But I’ve-” he let out a frustrated huff. “It seems like there’s nothing to be done, no matter who I talk to and what I try.”
There seemed to be no resolution of the war and the different things that constantly kept happening. Pandora had tried to have the war out of arms reach, but it still impacted her in every corner. There was nothing except feeling useless when some of her friends were missing and the only one to blame was the war.
Pandora knew it was hardly any use going to the aurors when they knew about it and were hardly doing anything. She thought about finding someone from the Order, but her views on the rebels was so narrow she hardly thought about interfering. That didn’t mean she wasn’t going to stop trying however and thought of Henry.
At this moment, she knew that Henry must have heard the same miserable news. Sybill was out there somewhere, under the hand of Voldemort himself. She feared for her friend’s safety and unfortunately her life. They were working on time and Pandora just hoped it wasn’t too late. There were people dropping dead around them daily and she didn’t want to see Sybill on the list of the dead.
“It’s hard to know where she was last seen. Either we need another seer to help us or we need to go where the death eaters and voldemort has been. I don’t know where she would be but I would venture she’s scared and needs our help now.” Pandora was practically shaking with every word but stood straight and confident. “I don’t care about sides anymore. If you know an Order member who could help us or a death eater that might have information I need to know. I was thinking about the possibility of seeing Sofiya Nott to see if she could help.”
