One of my favorite characters in all of media, I absolutely adore him and all the character growth he’s had, you can absolutely tell how much care Nii-sensei put into writing him<3

2. Wei Wuxian (MDZS)

My other favorite character in all of media. What can I say about him that hasn’t already been said? He’s perfect<333

3. Kanna (Love Bullet)

I am a sucker for both yuri and devotion, so naturally I adore Kanna. The manga has only recently started, but I’m so excited to see more of her<3

4. Riza Hawkeye (FMA)

I love badass women and I am very gay for her. She could step on me and I’d thank her<3

5. Xia Fei (Link Click)

He’s such a cutie, I only want good things for him (which he’s unlikely to get from the looks of things twt)

6. Xie Lian (TGCF)

He had me hooked from the start and was such a fun character to follow, 10/10 would give him any and all scraps he wanted<3

7. Noi (dorohedoro)

Noi is the answer to my prayers for badass buff woman who are actually drawn with muscles (FINALLY, someone understands the assignment)

8. Elanor (The Good Place)

I support women’s wrongs<3 It’s so refreshing to have a character like her who’s just a total jerk but still done in a way that makes her endearing, and of course her character growth was incredible. 10/10 character, 10/10 show

9. Ash Lynx (BananaFish)

He deserved better </3

10. Arc (final fantasy III)

My son. I love when characters have freckles. FF3 was my first final fantasy game and will always have a special place in my heart<3

1: Yuna Final Fantasy X

I'm always inclined to get attached to characters who are gentle, melancholy but strong willed. Yuna's entire characterization is just beautifully written in that regard.

2: Luo Binghe Scum Villain's Self Saving System

Hands down one of my favorite portrayals of very human wants (the awkward, sad and humiliating included) he bares himself desperately for the person he adores. There's something just very human about him and I understand why Shen Qinqiu wants to protect that and loves him. At any rate the entire book title is interesting in hindsight I believe with how he views himself and wanting to be the one saved.

3: Katniss Everdeen

Her sentimentality while she is desperate for survival always makes me cry. She loves and admires people that are soft while thinking she can never be that when she is.

4: Zelos Wilder Tales of Symphonia

Fascinating character that hides a lot of melancholy under lies, jokes and a lot of nihilism. But again another character that really is desperate to be proven right about admiring a softer and idealistic person while struggling with general dislike of how cruel people are and his own apathy to that.

5:Kagome Higurashi

It girl for me forever and always. She isn't special she's a normal girl but she still tries so hard and is able to persevere while admitting to her own faults and shortcomings.

6: Janus Cascade Wild Arms 3

Total hedonist who knows that lifestyle isn't worth it, but continues to live as he does out of spite against the concept of justice. His guilt for surviving while committing cruelties is fascinating when he juxtaposed Virginia in the game.

7: Luke Fon Fabre Tales of the Abyss

The ultimate sad boy. Again I am just very drawn to characters that have very little expectations in the world due to the small cruelties in the world. Luke is desperate to be a good person for multiple reasons, to change, to be loved, to be someone that can be loved, all while believing he stole life, and feeling guilty that he still may be considered selfish for wanting to live.

8: Furina de Fontaine Genshin Impact

Basically the little mermaid retelling. What can I say, I really REALLY like the woobie character trope done right.

9: Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic

Do I gotta explain this one... he's Shadow that's the only explanation we all need.

10: Tohru Honda

Her yearning for kindness and being kind is what makes her beautiful as a character.

1: Lan Wangji (MDZS)

to the surprise of NO ONE, lan wangji is up here at the top. i would have picked both wangxian but per the guidelines i will not. the fact that lwj remains so dedicated to protecting the few people he loves despite being subject to all that propaganda and classism around him,,, also he’s autistic and i feel somewhat protective of him because of all the ableist bullshit the fandom says about him LMAO

2: Ragatha (TADC)

SHES SO ME CORE!! OH MY GOD SHES LITERALLY ME. her whole thing about shouldering the responsibility for other people’s problems and trying to act nice and helpful all the time is unfortunately incredibly real

3: Li Tianxi (Link Click)

she deserved so much better ;w; she literally just wants safety and kindness and she almost never gets that. she KNOWS that what her brother is doing is wrong and she wants to stop the injustice, but she’s not taken seriouslyyyy and the only one that really Gets Her is qiao ling!!

4: Hornet (Hollow Knight)

I NEED TO PLAY SILKSONG. aside from hornet just being a badass, there is so much angst potential with her being one of the very few people left alive in hallownest and essentially having to guard a corpse. that is a level of dedication that i could aspire to honestly

5: Zelda (BotW)

of course i have to mention my first blorbo ever <3 at the time when i was blorboing her, i was Going Through Some Shit so she was honestly. just me. unable to live up to insane expectations and believing she’s not a good person for it when she’s a great person and also a literal teenager struggling? yeah that sounds about right

6: Volo (Pokemon: Legends Arceus)

my blorbo-in-law at this point. shoutout to @cure-icy-writes (icy you are also welcome to participate in this tag game) for making me very normal about volo as well. i already liked him well enough, but reading ‘fall into flying’ gave me a new perspective on him and it started getting me thinking about, like, characters who are mentally ill, who deserve kindness, but still have done terrible things

7: Murphy (Interstellar)

past this point tumblr fucking ATE my post so. fuck you tumblr. ANYWAY. murphy is probably my fav character from interstellar bc she is so incredibly human. she’s smart asf but she’s traumatized from her dad leaving her! she’s rightfully confused and angry and bitter for most of her life! we need more female characters like this tbh

8: Twilight Sparkle (MLP:FiM)

guys i was not lying when i said i don’t have a lot of fandoms 😭 we’re really going back here LMAO but twilight is also very me core because. autism. anxiety. i don’t think i have ocd but the neurotic perfectionism is so real. i think that, at the time i was watching mlp, seeing that even an initial introverted recluse like twilight could become the literal princess of friendship unconsciously filled me with hope that i could form more meaningful connections too

9: Mel Medarda (Arcane)

what can i possibly say about mel aside from the fact that she makes me freak out lesbianly every time i see her. jokes aside, she’s a super complex character and i loved seeing her development and how she eventually chose to fight for a better cause instead of continuing to be complicit in political corruption and her mother’s manipulation <3

10: Sae Niijima (Persona 5)

idk how i thought of mlp before i thought of p5. i feel bad now LMAO i’m a fake fan 😔 anyway, i did in fact feel the need to include another character whom i have a raging lesbian crush on. aside from that, it was super cool to see her role in p5 and how she was also initially complicit in political corruption but changed on her own, but her struggle was still so valid! it is so hard to be woman in such a dominantly patriarchal society!

Last song: Never Ordinary by Three Days Grace, from their last album. They're one of my absolute fave band and I get very emotional listening to this album because the first singer came back to the band and I feel like at least part of their musical choice is an homage to their beginnings.

Currently watching: Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries with my friend @welgansheer. Otherwise I'm currently more listening than watching to the Magnus Archives and I'm always happy to watch anything Gab Smolders puts out (very excited for her new playthrough of Fatal Frame 3)

Current obsession: Where Winds Meet. I may or may not be at 223h of play time. I love wuxia, I love exploring the world, I love how it makes me laugh and cry, sometimes simultaneously, I love how it makes me learn things! So many things!

Also because I am a being of many layers, I am currently always thinking about D.Gray-Man in one way or another. And the Magnus Archives, as previously mentioned. You know what maybe they should meet, compare notes on their trauma.

Currently reading: I recently finished rereading Little Mushroom by Shisi and I'm a little stuck on Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield (very very good horror, uh just a little too sad for me at the moment). Also caught up to D.Gray-man. Sadly. Gimme more. GIVE ME THE DEETS. HOSHINO I AM BEGGING YOU.

What's the origin of your blog name?

okay so you know King Yaoi the III, also known as Ivan from Alien Stage? I thought his title was funny and wanted to use an equivalent for me, but I'm a lesbian so I became Queen Yuri the III. At the same time, Queen Yuri the III is what I call Mizi from Alien Stage, so it's both those things :)

well, the "fruit" part is cuz I'm fruity (gay) as helll. the random part however is cuz I was trying to come up with a handle that was more than Just Fruit and I felt "random" just kinda fit my vibe yk?

I think the Jiang family from MDZS/Untamed all need therapy badly, both together and separately. I like to expound on their issues and the issues of other characters, so I decided that therapist might as well be me (they sure as shit won’t help themselves)

my blog name/username took very roundabout paths to get to where it is now. i originally started as— and please imagine my soul leaving my body as i type this— Le Zucchini (lezucchini), lezucc for short. that became PokeMasterZucc, which is arguably worse but i was and still am incredibly pokemon pilled.

and then i rebranded a little! i became a shiny umbreon somewhere along the line while i was also really obsessed with cookie run kingdom. specifically pancake cookie. so what did i do? i slapped pancake cookie on my pfp. eventually when i got out of my crk kick, he got simplified/demoted to a stack of pancakes balanced atop the umbreon’s head, hence: pancake umbreon :]

What’s an oddly specific thing that brings you joy?

uhhhh. probably my roleplay thingie. what’s that? it’s like daydreaming but on steroids. i often brainstorm ideas like this, actually— what i do is i come up with an idea and act it out with voices and movements and expressions (and even music sometimes LMAO) but only when no one’s watching of course. sometimes i will do it even when there are other people around but only in specific situations (i.e. walking in public and i only do veeery quiet voicing without anything else, walking upstairs to grab something and i do facial expressions and minimal action)

(is there a proper name for that? it would make my life a lot easier if i could just name it instead of typing out a paragraph every time 😅)

Are you a morning person, a night owl, or something else entirely?

i’m an afternoon cat. the only time i can get things done. i stay up late but not necessarily because im able to focus on doing work :P

but no, apparently people see all that shit as quirky and silly. you wanna be second-guessing everything you say to people that aren’t your close friends and lying awake at night running conversations through your brain over and over and over again? you wanna be paralyzed from switching between tasks and you wanna have difficulty motivating yourself to do basic things like hygiene??

best part. bear in mind, this is from my personal experience: i don't even get accommodations, which is probably one of the appeals for being "transID". i'm tired and i overwork myself and i've been on the verge of burnout for so long, but i couldn't get accommodations because my grades are too good. and it's so fucking difficult to find balance especially as an autistic person, so i have a terrible habit of throwing myself into my work without any regard for my own wellbeing! (i'm working on it 😅)

but i don't want pity for being autistic (and adhd).

last thing: these people that romanticize and water down mental disabilities and disorders are the same people that make fun of people who have meltdowns, who have higher needs autism, who can't be employed, who need 24/7 caregiving, etc etc!
