Since I was a kid I would always think about the little changes that characters would have had to face when being spirited away into a fantasy world. Like do they have toothbrushes in Narnia? Did the Pevensies have to walk all the way to Aslan's camp without cleaning their teeth. That would have been awful. I read that in medieval times they would clean their teeth using rough scraps of linen. So maybe it's similar in fantasy? That would have been a weird little thing to adjust to as a kid who grew up always having access to a toothbrush

Adam and Ronan would be that couple who get someone else's kid the most loud, messy and annoying toys as gifts, especially if that kids dad was Declan

Nothing could have prepared me for how validating it can be to be diagnosed with inattentive ADHD as an adult. Having all these issues shoved behind the label of anxiety all my life when anxiety could never really hold it all. Everyone told me it was in my head, that I'm too 'chill' to have ADHD. But then someone took all of those thoughts out of my head and spoke them back to me. I finally felt seen. And now I get to have a little hope again. I can see a path forward, I can find community. I can make better sense of who I am. I feel so grateful
