I thought I won't read anything this month, so when I finished the third book this month (my average is 2 books per month) I was surprised. all of them were short and two were audiobooks, but it doesn't matter.

I didn't really like Huxley's one. I hoped for it to be more informative, instead it felt like a bunch of funfacts

Trans-Atlantic was interesting. I'm glad that I caught up on that

reportage by Jacek Hołub about the lives of autistic people broke me. I was expecting nothing when I started listening to the audiobook. I was sure that I won't learn anything new. and I didn't, but instead the fact that I'm too on the spectrum hit me like a train. few specialists told me that already and asked me to get a diagnosis, but I completely ignored that. "even if I am autistic, I'm high functioning. there's no meds for it, so I don't need a diagnosis. I already have an adhd one and it's enough. I can deal with it" - well I can't. I've understood that I'm constantly trying to live like an average (or even above average) neurotypical person would and it drains me. I understood that I have to get to know myself once again. it's scary. I don't like it. but I'll try and maybe it'll get easier. it's hard to believe, but what else can I do if not keep trying?
