sick of everybody trying to inject sex into stories that don’t need it gonna start a trend of actively removing sex from stories that specifically focus on it

welcome everybody here’s my pitch for a new Sitcom about four women in NYC who have zero trysts of any kind called “And The City”

thinking about how good boromir is. thinking about the man who travelled for 110 days to foreign land to meet with people he didn’t know on the off chance it could help his country. thinking about how his father “looks to me to make things right and i would do it. i would see the glory of gondor restored”. thinking about the man who loved none so much as his brother and country, enough to give them his all again and again and again. thinking about “do not carry the weight of the dead” because that is all he does. thinking about the desperation in “by the blood of our people are your lands kept safe” and “i only ask for the strength to defend my people” because that is all he ever wanted. thinking about his pleas to allow the hobbits their grief because he understands in a way the others never could. thinking about the pressure he puts on himself to protect everyone around him and the sense of failure he feels when he cannot. thinking about how he only wanted the ring in order to fight back against the evil that was destroying his home. thinking about the pain and pure hopelessness of “they took the little ones-” and “i have failed you” and “all will come to darkness and my city to ruin”. thinking about the man who fought with everything he had until his final breath because he did not know any other way to be. thinking about “i would have followed you, my brother… my captain… my king”, still always looking out for his people and who would be best to protect them.

Christians just out here radiating Big Dick Energy.

True. Good point. But that still means that God created the universe in order to have a relationship with something outside of himself, doesn’t it?

See, but now it sounds like you’re saying He doesn’t care that much about us, and I doubt He would have sent His only Son to redeem our sins if that were true

I’m really not saying that at all, I don’t see how I’m saying that

“God created much of the universe for himself and has little to do with us at all”

Just because someone has hobbies or parts of their life that don’t involve you doesn’t mean they don’t love you

God created a universe that extends beyond our ability to comprehend in order to show how much greater and expansive he is than even the universe we struggle to comprehend. He did this as way to demonstrate his glory and majesty. The universe’s mystery and glory are mere shadows of the transcendent omnipresent character of God. In that way, it brings glory to him, and also serves as an illustration of his glory for us.
