This was started by a Warrior named Ste Walker from Halifax, West Yorkshire. Please help us create awareness. Read my story, then see how you can participate too. Please share!! <3 #SickButInvisible My name is Paige I have #EhlersDanlos, #WolfParkinsonWhite and #PTSD. It's been a hard fight, sometimes one minute at a time, but I still get up, love and care for and guide my children, feed the dog and wake to fight it all again. I still make plans for my future and adjust to accommodate for optimal chance of success. Maybe you can't see the heart that beats too fast for no reason, bones that don't work right, the migrains, premature aging in my organs and the tissue that holds it all together, or the terror I have to fight to just to get in the shower every day, but its all very real. It is my life as I know it and because it isn't normal for you, doesn't mean it isn't real and, unfortunately, normal for me. I am #BlissEmpowered because I #SurviveToConquer 💝 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ivisible illnesses are just as real as visible illnesses so PLEASE HELP US RAISE SOME MUCH NEEDED AWARENESS Anyone can take part, sick or not, just like the no make up selfie or the #ALS ice bucket challenge... All you have to do is upload a selfie to your site with the hashtag #SickButInvisible The perception of what illness or disability should look like is wrong, just because I've struggled and got my self dressed and out of the house, doesn't mean I'm faking or I'm not that poorly. It means I'm not letting my disabilities rule me, should I spend my days locked inside my house just because I'm ill? No, so next time you question someone for using facilities for the disabled, stop and just think "maybe there is a reason why they use them" #SickButInvisible RAISE AWARENESS, UPLOAD A SELFIE, ADD THE HASHTAG SHARE PLEASE AND HELP ME MAKE A CHANGE
