The late evolutionary palaeontologist Jennifer Clack said, “The paired fins of Tiktaalik still retain fin rays: Loss of fin rays is part of the way in which limbs are distinguished from fins .”It’s no wonder biochemist Michael Denton said, “The gap between the tetrapod limb and the fin remains. ”In 2024, Hickman et al. said, “evolutionary relationships of early tetrapod groups e.g.,Tiktaalik remain controversial.”

The Tiktaalik is often compared to the Coelacanth in terms of its evolutionary significance. Both Tiktaalik and the Coelacanth are considered transitional fossils that supposedly represent the significant steps in the evolution of vertebrates from aquatic to terrestrial life.

The Coelacanth is a living species still living as the were millions of years ago. This fish is often referred to as a "living fossil," is a lobe-finned fish that has been known to inhabit deep-sea environments for millions of years. Despite the belief that coelacanths went extinct around 65 million years ago, a live coelacanth was discovered in 1938 off the coast of South Africa, and a second species was found in Indonesia in 1998. These discoveries have provided valuable insights into the supposed evolutionary history of lobe-finned fish and their potential survival despite the extinction of other marine species.

Thus, I suggest that believing only in Darwin’s theory of evolution without God's coding is wrong. For it would have been impossible for a cell to originate without the intelligence to provide the design within that particular cell. This really doesn’t negate evolution as shown in the Genesis sequence account of events. As both in the bible’s Genesis account and Andrew Parker’s account run parallel to each other.

Hence the information on the cell below really highlights how effective God's design plan was to bring life on Earth into being. Darwin only relinquished his faith in God because he seemingly could not equate God's intervention with his theory of evolution. For as previously mentioned the Cell was another dilemma in the last century as the knowledge of the cell we have Darwin never had.

Hence in closing the Science of evolution can explain how things happened but faith in God as the Creator in Sy Garte's "Replacing Darwin" book also explain why these changes happen. Darwin gave us a powerful “how,” but many argue he left the “why” untouched — which is precisely where divine intervention had to come into the equation to embed into all cells the necessary code needed to create another species that is distinct in it’s design and function within the chain and changes needed for life to progress and diversify to provide humanity their needs.

God said “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." In crossing the channel and seeing Dunkirk as the Port for our onward travel to Holland really brought home the reality of that miraculous 1940 mass evacuation. The rescue of our brave soldiers trapped on those beaches carried out by the many small boats hearing the call to save our boys. Having now seen those beaches and the length of our own ferry trip, I wonder just how these small boats manned by Naval officers actually achieved this most remarkable feat with little vessels.

From 20 May 1940, Ramsay and his staff made urgent plans to rescue the thousands of exhausted BEF and Allied soldiers from Dunkirk – unilaterally and without reference to the French. The troops, short of food and water, some injured, were now trapped – crammed in Dunkirk’s streets, buildings and on the beaches – sitting targets for German air attacks and artillery. Just before 7pm on 26 May 1940, Winston Churchill – who had been Prime Minister for only 16 days – ordered the start of Operation Dynamo.

The Dunkirk evacuation, known as Operation Dynamo, was a monumental effort to rescue Allied soldiers trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk during World War II. I do wonder how many will stop to read and think about what the answer to prayers did for our nation and it's people during this time of crisis. In what is still called 'the Miracle of Dunkirk' the story is told of how over 300,000 British troops were snatched from the beaches of France in an operation that was so fraught with dangers that success can only be attributed to a miraculous combination of circumstances.

Now you could argue it was all a coincidence, but I think not. It certainly wasn’t considered so at the time. Sunday 9th June was declared a National Day of Thanksgiving and, encouraged by Churchill himself, the phrase ‘the miracle of Dunkirk’ began to circulate .For me that miraculous escape of the defeated British Army at Dunkirk from May 29 to June 3, 1940 was one of the most remarkable incidents of World War II, and helped inspire the British people to persevere during the years of struggle still ahead. Over 300,000 British troops were evacuated, both by the Royal Navy and numerous civilian volunteers.

With the British Expeditionary Force hemmed in at Dunkirk and invasion feared, King George VI called the nation to a National Day of Prayer on Sunday, May 26, 1940. Churches filled beyond capacity—cathedrals, chapels, and crowded city parishes alike. On May 26, at Westminster Abbey, the Archbishop of Canterbury called on God to protect the troops. Across Great Britain, tens of thousands of people responded to the king’s call, uniting as never before.

Cathedrals and churches, mosques and syna­gogues were packed to overflowing. At Westminster Cathedral, the line extended for blocks and hundreds kept vigil outside. The people didn’t know exactly why they were praying, yet they prayed even so. “Nothing like this has ever happened before” was how one English newspaper described the scene.

Shamefully, today neither Church nor nation gives much thought to this miracle resulting from our first WW2 National Day of Prayer, but it serves as both a warning and encouragement today. How we have lost that Dunkirk sense of the need to pray. The question I ask how many would answer that call. Would our present #KingCharles as the Head of the church even think to do likewise having omitted his duty even to give us the traditional Easter message.

How many of our Great British public would now heed the call as it should have been called for with this present disastrous war crisis as was done for Dunkirk very few I fear.

In the Book of Genesis, the Tree of Life stands in the Garden of Eden as a symbol of eternal life and direct communion with God. After the fall, access to this tree is cut off—humanity loses immortality and intimacy with God.

Christ restores what was lost.

Is Jesus the Tree of Life?

In Genesis, we encounter the Tree of Life as a part of God’s creation. This imagery carries through to Revelation, where it represents eternal life and joy in the presence of God. In this article, we will seek to understand how Jesus embodies the essence of the Tree of Life, providing sustenance, healing, and eternal hope to all who believe in Him. In exploring the meanings behind the Tree of Life, its implications in the Hebrew and Greek languages, and its historical significance in the Bible, all supported by verses that illuminate these points.

We find the Tree of Life again depicted in Revelation 22:2, bearing fruits for the healing of the nations, indicating the ultimate restoration through Christ. This vision not only echoes back to the beginning of creation, but also offers hope for a future where believers enjoy unbroken fellowship with God. The Jesus we encounter in the Gospels fulfils both the vision and reality of the Tree of Life, showing us that through Him, we find lasting sustenance and peace.

The typology of the Tree of Life as a representation of Christ underscores the central Christian doctrine of salvation and eternal life through Jesus. It highlights the transition from the loss of access to the Tree of Life due to sin, to the restoration of that access through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Christ. This typology also emphasizes the hope of eternal communion with God, as believers anticipate the fulfilment of God's promises in the new creation.

In summary, the Tree of Life serves as a powerful type of Christ, illustrating the life-giving and redemptive nature of Jesus' mission. It points to the ultimate restoration of humanity's relationship with God and the promise of eternal life for those who are in Christ.

In having written and posted that piece on the "Road to Revelation" about the present ongoing America/Iran war I find there was/is the need to reflect. For I think I now need to temper that with the fact that Jesus didn't come into the World to condemn but to save it. As such I need to place Jesus right at the centre of this conflict who is simply waiting for those who are fearful of the situation and are in need of peace and reassurance from somewhere, then that is in Christ.

This is where in God's word it says; "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

John 3:17 is a profound and important verse that gives insight into God’s love and purpose in sending Jesus Christ into the world. The verse reads;

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

Hence Jesus message to all is; "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke 21:28.

And in the midst of the conflict and that very scary book of Revelation He also says ;

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." Revelation 3:20.

In the New Testament, redemption is explicitly linked to the person and work of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:7 states, "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace." This verse highlights that redemption is achieved through Christ's sacrificial death, which serves as the price paid for our liberation from sin and fear to redemption and reassurance.

Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of reassurance for believers. His presence is described as comforting and guiding, providing strength and peace during difficult times. Key verses that highlight this reassurance include:

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." – Isaiah 41:10

"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." – Matthew 28:20

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." – John 14:27

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God." – 2 Corinthians 1:20

Philippians 1:21 states, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain," highlighting the importance of prioritizing Christ above all else.

"it is better to live in Christ than to die in sin" reflects a profound Christian belief that emphasizes the value of living a life dedicated to faith and righteousness.

So within that summary and the reassuring verses above is it not a perfect time and opportune moment to accept Christ's sacrifice and His offer of redemption and peace in the midst of this conflict. My interpretation of the times and this war leading up to a final conflict could be way off the mark, but surely it would be better to have that reassurance you would find in Jesus Christ.

For reassurance in Jesus Christ is a powerful source of comfort and strength, especially during challenging times. God offers reassurance through His words, showing us His love and support, even in the toughest times (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

In moments of distress, we can feel God's warm embrace, reminding us that we do not have to face our struggles alone (Psalms 94:19).

The Bible assures us that God is always with us, guiding us through life’s challenges (Psalm 139:7-10).

God's promises provide stability in our hearts, allowing us to face trials with confidence (Romans 8:28).

Through His presence, we can hold onto the promise that God walks beside us, giving us strength (Isaiah 41:10).

These verses and teachings again remind us of the unwavering support and reassurance we can find in Jesus Christ may those who choose to find that blessed assurance in Him.

Well I've just recently finished reading "The Road to Revelation" by Nick Page a travelogue that takes readers on a journey to the seven churches of Revelation and the island of Patmos, where the Book of Revelation was written. His take on the book of Revelations is that it actually did specifically apply to the churches of his day and also the influence of the Roman Empire's rule on the churches. The Book of Revelation is traditionally dated to AD 95–96, during the reign of Emperor Domitian, although some scholars suggest it was written earlier, around AD 68-69, during the reign of Emperor Nero. The Apostle John is credited with writing it while he was exiled on the Island of Patmos.

Nick Page's book "The Road to Revelation" is a blend of history, commentary, creative reconstruction, and travelogue, offering a unique perspective on the cultural and historical context of the Book of Revelation as in John's day. The book is divided into two parts: the first part covers the sites of the seven churches, while the second part explores the island of Patmos and the vision that inspired the book. However I firmly believe that it's prophecies and message still mean just as much for us if not so much more than it did then in John's day. For many of these prophecies were never fulfilled and the imagery has never fully been understood like we seem to be seeing more clearly now. Yes the message quite rightly did apply to John's era inasmuch as it has been applied to the other eras of History.

But I ask that you read the passage that Jesus spoke of before He left in the light of what we are witnessing now.

“Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Jesus said; Matt 24: 4-8

Jesus description of several key indicators that precede the end of the age such as warnings of wars, rumours of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes are all with us now are they not?

However the cumulation of all that is to happen is a final war which is very much like the build up as to what we are seeing right now in the war on Iran.

Another book I referenced is "The Handwriting on the Wall" by Dr. David Jeremiah. A profound exploration of the book of Daniel, offering insights into the like prophecies in this book and their implications for the future. The concerning aspect of this present is the fact of the peace talks taking place right now for; "when they say peace for Israel, the armies of the north and army of the south will strike" reflects a biblical prophecy concerning the conflict between Israel and surrounding nations.

Revelation 16:13 mentions a gathering of armies from various nations, indicating a significant event in the future. The northern army is often seen as a threat to Israel, with various biblical passages predicting such invasions.

Current geopolitical events in the region may also influence interpretations of these prophecies, suggesting a potential for conflict. These interpretations highlight the complex relationship between prophecy and contemporary events in the context of Israel's security.

I had a discussion about this with one of the Church Pastors just a few days ago, for who has a different view to mine on the subject. As the complexity of interpreting the prophecies within both books of Revelation and Daniel are open to differing interpretation or of misinterpretation as the case may be. However the overriding takeaway from this conversation was the fact that God is in control and whatever is to happen will happen so it up to each of us to grasp hold of His truths.

Influencers command large followings on social media and are often paid by companies to use and describe their products and services, encouraging their legions of follow. Yet it appears we have lost listening to the greatest influencer the world has ever known in Jesus Christ.

If Jesus Christ appeared in the modern world with the same message, clarity, authority, and impact He historically had, He would not just be a top-tier influencer — He would be the single largest and most transformative influencer on the planet, dwarfing every celebrity, politician, and creator by orders of magnitude. His influence would be global, cross-platform, cross‑cultural, and enduring, not trend-based.

No influencer today comes remotely close to that scale.

Historical and modern data already show Jesus as the most influential figure in human history. Christianity today has 2.4–2.8 billion followers worldwide, making Him the most followed leader ever.

If we translate that into modern social metrics:

• Instagram/TikTok equivalent: 2.4–2.8 billion followers

• Engagement rate: unmatched — His teachings already shape cultures, laws, ethics, and personal identity

• Longevity: 2,000+ years of continuous relevance

No influencer today comes remotely close to that scale.

2. Why His Influence Would Explode Online

Authenticity & Authority

Jesus’ message historically spread without political power, wealth, or media — yet it transformed civilizations. His authority came from moral clarity, compassion, and radical ideas (forgiveness, equality, humility). Modern audiences crave authenticity; He would dominate that space.

Viral Moments

His actions — healing, parables, confrontations with authorities — would be instantly viral content. Think:

• “Feeding the 5,000” → Miracle Meal trending worldwide

• “Sermon on the Mount” → the most-watched livestream in history

• “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” → the most shared quote on every platform.

Cross-Platform dominance He would simultaneously be:

• The biggest spiritual influencer

• The biggest humanitarian influencer

• The biggest motivational influencer

• The biggest cultural influencer

No niche — total saturation.

3. Influence Beyond Social Media

Sources emphasize that Jesus’ impact is not just religious but social, political, educational, and cultural. His teachings historically shaped:

• Human rights

• Charity and social justice movements

• Education systems

• National laws and ethics

This means His “influence” wouldn’t be limited to likes or views — it would reshape institutions.

4. Comparison to Modern Influencers

Modern Christian influencers reach millions, not billions. Even the most prominent pastors and leaders today — Copeland, Adeboye, Oyakhilome, Joyce Meyer — influence large audiences but still operate in the shadow of Jesus’ global reach.

Jesus would eclipse them all instantly.

5. Why He Would Still Stand Out Today

Even in a crowded influencer landscape, the sources highlight that:

• People are overwhelmed by curated, artificial content

• They crave meaning, purpose, and authenticity

• Social media shapes identity and values more than ever

Jesus’ message directly addresses those needs — making Him uniquely positioned to dominate modern digital culture.

If Jesus Christ were an influencer today, He would be:

• The most followed person in human history

• The most shared voice across every platform

• The most discussed figure in news, culture, and politics

• The central force shaping global ethics and identity

• A movement, not a brand

His influence would not be measured in followers — it would be measured in transformed lives, reshaped societies, and global movements, just as it has been for two millennia.

I would have to strongly disagree with AI on the commercial side of online influencing let alone marketing products. The influence of Jesus Christ, as depicted in the Bible, extends far beyond this medium His earthly ministry, permeating through time and across cultures. Jesus’ message historically spread without political power, wealth, or media — yet it transformed civilizations. Philippians 2:9-11 emphasizes His exaltation: “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (). Colossians 1:16-17 further explains that all things, visible and invisible, were created through Him and for Him, and in Him all things hold together.

That’s influence Jesus Christ is not only the Lord of all but also the Mighty Counsellor, Wonderful Counsellor, and the Prince of Peace. These titles reflect His divine nature and the profound impact He has on the world. As the Lord of all, He holds ultimate authority and power, as seen in His miracles and authority over nature.

As the Mighty Counsellor, He offers guidance and counsel, providing wisdom and direction to those who seek Him. As the Prince of Peace, He brings a message of hope and restoration, offering peace to the troubled world. These titles are a testament to the multifaceted nature of Jesus Christ and His role in the world.

This portion of scripture in Luke taken from Isaiah 61:1-2. He quoted was written for Him in the 8th century.

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners, / to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn. Luke 4:18-21

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12.

Now that is influence His mission to save the world was predestined right from the outset for each and everyone to decide. For Jesus was destined to bring light to the world. The concept of Jesus as the "Light of the World" is a central theme in Christian theology, symbolizing His divine nature, role in salvation, and guidance for humanity. This metaphor is primarily drawn from the Gospel of John, where Jesus is explicitly identified as such.

I feel complelled to write once more with “Christ’s Passion Week“coming up which was the final week of Jesus’ earthly ministry, spanning from His triumphal entry into Jerusalem to His resurrection, highlighting His sacrificial death and fulfillment of prophecy.

A significant week as it commemorates the events that led to Jesus' sacrifice for humanity's sins, including the Last Supper, the betrayal in Gethsemane, and the crucifixion. The week is marked by various events that highlight Jesus' authority, His suffering, and the victory He achieved through His death and resurrection, ultimately fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament.

This as opposed to as so many supposed Christians who are rooting for and who voted for Trump as their saviour to our world saying they were doing so to fulfil God’s desire to conquer all enemies of God. Support for a challenging and strong commander-in-chief who will deliver God’s people from all the evils that plague them.

For this I find absolutely farcical as so many so called Christians within America and around the world are calling Trump a saviour to the world. This from a man who said "My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier," he told his audience at home and far beyond.”

Yet the concepts of false peace and deception are recurrent themes throughout the Bible, serving as warnings against complacency and the dangers of being led astray from the truth as with people who say;

"Peace peace peace when there is no peace. Jeremiah 6:14.

“Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace.” Ezekiel 13:10.

Yet we have Christ within this Passion week, who was hung on a cross for us to set us free and at peace within the turmoil of war.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery"

Some U.S. military leaders are telling troops that the Iran war is part of "God's divine plan" featuring President Donald Trump and Jesus, according to a religious freedom advocacy group. In response to Newsweek's request for comment on the matter, the Pentagon talked about Trump's action in Iran.

Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, said the non-profit group has received more than 200 complaints from roughly 50 military installations since Saturday involving reports of U.S. commanders linking Christianity to the "biblically sanctioned" war in Iran.

For this title "Saviour of the World" underscores the inclusivity of Christ's redemptive work. In John 3:16, the universality of His mission is affirmed. As this verse highlights the global reach of His saving grace.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

The anticipation of this Saviour is woven throughout messianic prophecies. Isaiah 9:6 foretells the birth of a child who will be called "Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." This prophecy points to the divine nature and redemptive work of the Messiah, fulfilled in Jesus Christ as He says;

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. “

And John 3:17 says;

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."

This verse emphasizes that God's purpose in sending Jesus was not to judge or condemn humanity, but rather to offer salvation and hope. This reflects the core message of Christianity, highlighting God's love and desire for reconciliation with humanity.

To those who are in fear of this war escalating it is important to remain vigilant and grounded in faith. As Jesus taught;

"When you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near." Luke 21:31;

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." 2 Tim 1:7

This passage in Luke encourages believers to recognize the signs and to stay prepared for what may come. Additionally, it is emphasized that these events are part of a larger divine plan, and we should not be alarmed but rather be ready to embrace the reality of our circumstances. Embracing the "here" of human suffering can lead to a deeper understanding of God's presence and purpose in our lives that of freedom of fear in accepting Christ.

“Know the truth and the truth will set you Free.” John 8:32.

“The Truth” in today’s society — it hasn’t disappeared, but it has become harder to recognize, agree on, and trust. And that’s not because truth itself changed; it’s because the environment around it did. We live in an age of information overload. There has never been a time in human history where people had access to so much information so quickly. The problem is information and truth aren’t the same thing. Anyone can publish anything, Algorithms reward what spreads, not what’s accurate. Emotion beats evidence in the attention economy, Truth gets drowned out by noise.

The importance of truth is emphasized in various aspects of life, including decision-making, trust, and societal integrity. Chronic lying and disinformation can corrode our understanding of reality, making it crucial to distinguish between what is true and what is believed.

The Truth War - Right now, truth is under attack, and much is at stake the “Truth War.” Fighting for Certainty in an Age of Deception" [The postmodern age] is the age of no truth, an age that has reached a point of deadly fatigue when it comes to facing the truth? A generation that no longer believes truth can be known. Dr. John MacArthur knows better, and he is armed with the courage to confront this age with a bold defence of truth. A book just recently ordered and received.

It is said truth is a central concept in philosophy, logic, and everyday life, but its precise definition is debated. The problem of truth is in a way easy to state: what truths are, and what (if anything) makes them true. But this simple statement masks a great deal of controversy. Whether there is a metaphysical problem of truth at all, and if there is, what kind of theory might address it, are all standing issues in the theory of truth. Moreover, the pursuit of truth is essential for fostering rational debate and maintaining order in society. As noted, truth is integral to human nature, and its absence can lead to confusion and distrust.

"The Assault on Truth" another book is an exploration on the challenges and difficulties in discovering and presenting the truth in various contexts. Jeffrey Masson's work delves into the complexities of truth and how it is perceived and handled in society, making it an engaging and thought-provoking read for those interested in philosophical and psychological topics.

'The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.' George Orwell.

George Orwell's "1984" book also presents powerful insights on truth, emphasizing its manipulation and the consequences of a society that distorts reality. And, just like in the novel, ubiquitous video surveillance is already here.

What Orwell's '1984' tells us about today's world, 70 years after it was published video surveillance is part of our modern-day lives. Surveillance footage from these cameras is repurposed as the raw material of television, mostly in the news but also in shows like “America’s Most Wanted,” “Right This Minute” and others. Many viewers unquestioningly accept this practice as legitimate.

The friendly face of surveillance.

Reality television is the friendly face of surveillance. It helps viewers think that surveillance happens only to those who choose it or to those who are criminals. In fact, it is part of a culture of widespread television use, which has brought about what Norwegian criminologist Thomas Mathiesen called the “viewer society” – in which the many watch the few. For Mathiesen, the viewer society is merely the other side of the surveillance society – described so aptly in Orwell’s novel – where a few watch the many.

So what is the truth today?

In the modern world, truth is often considered subjective, as it can vary based on individual beliefs, feelings, and perspectives. In summary, the concept of truth is said to be evolving, reflecting the challenges and complexities of navigating a society where truth is often contested and subjective.

Strangely that was also similarly said in Germany by the Nazis Joseph Goebbels who was the Gauleiter (district leader) of Berlin, chief propagandist for the Nazi Party, and then Reich Minister of Propaganda from1933 where he wrote this version of truth.

“Any thought is right, you must only be able to prove it convincingly. Every time has it’s own ideas, and in any time, it’s ideas are right. It’s not the times that are changing but man. The thought that has the strongest advocate gains acceptance. The idea of all existence and events being relative is the only absolute thing in the empire of the mind.”

The quote is said to be attributed to Ludwig Wittgenstein, a prominent philosopher known for his contributions to the philosophy of language.

Thus placing the emphasis on this truth, an understanding then that truth could shift from epoch to epoch, but nonetheless there was and will be a version of truth present in every period the task was/is to find it for oneself.

The concept of truth remains a central topic in philosophy, with various theories and perspectives on its nature. Philosophers have debated the nature of truth for centuries, with some arguing for absolute truths that transcend human perception, while others argue for the relativistic perspective, which challenges the notion of absolute truths. The post-truth era reflects a landscape where objective facts are frequently overshadowed by subjective interpretations.

The bible we once swore by to tell the truth in court as a witness or defendant is longer needed. As in modern legal proceedings, the traditional use of the Bible for swearing an oath has been replaced by the option to make a legal affirmation. This affirmation is a solemn declaration of truthfulness that does not require a specific religious text or formula. It serves as a secular alternative to the religious oath.

Yet the role of biblical truth means real freedom from the subjective truth found in contemporary society. Where truth is increasingly viewed as a complex and a multifaceted concept. Philosophers like Richard Rorty argue that truth is often determined by what society allows, leading to a relativistic view where truth can vary based on context and perspective. Which sounds much like Joseph Goebbels the then chief propagandist for the Nazi Party, and then Reich Minister of Propaganda from 1933

As such I want to present hereunder a thoughtful, historically grounded, and theologically rich analysis of the scene where Jesus is on trial before Pontius Pilate prompting Pilate’s famous question:

“What is truth?”

This where Jesus was brought before Pilate:

In John 18:38, Pilate asks Jesus, "What is truth?." Right after Jesus speaks about bearing witness to the truth, highlighting the philosophical and moral complexities surrounding the concept of truth. A most profound question and one of the most philosophically charged scenes in the entire Bible. It’s a collision of two worlds:

Context of the Exchange

In the Gospel of John, during the trial of Jesus, Pontius Pilate questions Him about His identity and purpose. Jesus responds to Pilate's inquiry about being a king by stating;

,

"For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice" (John 18:37). Pilate's subsequent question, "What is truth?", reflects his scepticism and perhaps a sense of resignation to the complexities of truth in the political and social context of his time.

For Jesus’ claim was that truth is not an Idea but it’s a Person as before Pilate asks his question, Jesus had said:

“Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

This is radical. Jesus is not offering a philosophical concept, a political statement or a legal argument He is offering Himself.

As in the Gospel of John, Jesus has already said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

So when Pilate asks, “What is truth?”, the irony is enormous for the truth was standing right in front of him. Hence the trial is as a mirror for all Humanity to face the truth as this scene exposes something universal a resistance to truth. People often prefer comfort over truth, power structures resist anything that threatens them. Truth can be inconvenient, destabilizing, or costly.

For Pilate knew Jesus was innocent. He even said so multiple times, but he chose political safety over moral clarity. This is the tragedy of the moment.

The Deeper Message: Two Kingdoms Collide.

Jesus speaks of a kingdom “not from this world.” This doesn’t mean “not real.” It means not built on violence, not maintained by fear, not dependent on political power. Pilate represented the kingdom of force. Jesus represents the kingdom of truth.

Why this scene still resonates today as Pilate’s question echoes through history because it’s still our question. Is truth objective or subjective? Is truth something we discover or something we create? Do we actually want truth, or just what is convenient? The scene forces us to confront our own relationship with truth.

This moment was not just a legal proceeding — it was and is a philosophical showdown. Pilate asked the right question but walked away before hearing the answer. That’s the tragedy. the scene invites the us all to do what Pilate did not, stay, listen, and wrestle with the truth standing before them.

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ is identified as the embodiment of truth. In John 14:6, Jesus declares, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" . This statement highlights the exclusive and definitive nature of truth as found in Christ. Furthermore, Jesus' mission is described as bearing witness to the truth (John 18:37), and His teachings are consistently portrayed as truthful and authoritative.

The Bible provides the clearest and most authoritative revelation of truth, serving as the standard by which all truth claims must be measured. Understanding truth requires faith in God and submission to His Word.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

This suggests that embracing truth leads to spiritual liberation, freeing individuals from sin and deception.

When Jesus says “I am the way, the truth, and the life”,

He’s not making a casual spiritual comment. He’s making one of the most radical identity claims in all of human history. And whether someone is religious or not, the meaning of that statement is worth taking seriously because it speaks directly to the question we ask ourselves today: what is truth in today’s society?

Truth holds a foundational place in the fabric of society, serving as a cornerstone for justice, trust, and moral integrity. From a biblical perspective, truth is not merely a philosophical concept but a divine attribute and a moral imperative. The Bible, particularly, emphasizes the significance of truth in both personal conduct and communal life. The Bible presents God as the ultimate source of truth.

Jesus said; "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32. #truth

The Introduction.

In all that we see happening in the world in terms of climate change as the war on Iran is now exasperating this tipping point even further into crisis. We have been forewarned over many years that this was happening.

I find the need to write to highlight the crisis once again and post it to as many who will listen across social media and other forums political, scientific or otherwise. Voices that may have the influence to make a difference, a sway that my voice in the wilderness does not have.

As I woke up in a fright last night with this crisis clearly on my mind feeling like "the voice in the wilderness." But also oddly with the thought provoking "The Message," a book on my bookshelf by Yan Vana also in mind. A ground breaking fictional novel that also explores the consequences of our neglect in looking after our planet, a blend of fantasy and science fiction.

And then added to that there was movie we went to see last night. "Project Hail Mary" is a 2026 sci-fi adventure starring Ryan Gosling as a lone astronaut on a mission to save Earth from a dying sun.

The film follows Dr. Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling), a middle school science teacher and former molecular biologist, who awakens aboard a spaceship far from Earth with no memory of how he got there. He discovers he is the sole survivor of a mission to stop a microorganism called Astrophage, which is causing the Sun to dim and threatening Earth with a catastrophic ice age. Grace must use his scientific knowledge and ingenuity to save humanity. Along the way, he befriends a five-legged alien named Rocky, and together they work to solve the Astrophage problem and ensure the survival of both their species.

So do I live in a world of fantasy? No I don't think so! Hence the need to write.

For the same message is in the news almost daily, and in the many factual scientific books with studies done on our climate crisis. Even as said within my fictional novel and or science fiction movie we watched last night. It's the same message that Jesus spoke of 2000 years ago that is happening right now.

Where Jesus said: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains”

The News today.

The Earth's climate is further out of balance than at any time in recorded history, the UN's weather agency has warned. The World Meteorological Organization says that our planet is gaining much more heat energy than it can release, driven by emissions of warming gases such as carbon dioxide.

This record "energy imbalance" heated the ocean to new heights last year and continued to melt our planet's ice caps. And scientists fear that a natural warming phase called El Niño – expected to begin later this year - could soon bring further heat records. In response to the report, UN Secretary General António Guterres reiterated his call for countries to move away from fossil fuels to renewable energy to "deliver climate security, energy security and national security".

"Planet Earth is being pushed beyond its limits. Every key climate indicator is flashing red," he warned, in a typically punchy video address. The last 11 years were the Earth's 11 warmest years in records stretching back to 1850, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) says. In 2025, global average air temperatures were about 1.43C above those of "pre-industrial" times - before humans started burning large amounts of fossil fuels.

Climate change has lead to rising global temperatures, melting glaciers, shrinking ice sheets, and rising sea levels, which threaten coastal communities and ecosystems. Ocean acidification from excess CO2 harms marine life, including coral reefs and shellfish, while shifts in temperature and precipitation disrupt habitats, causing species extinction and altering plant and animal distributions. These changes reduce biodiversity and destabilize ecosystems that humans rely on for food, water, and natural resources.

Rising temperatures increase the frequency and intensity of heatwaves, which can cause dehydration, heatstroke, and organ damage, particularly affecting the elderly, children, and vulnerable populations. Climate change also worsens air quality by increasing wildfires and pollution, leading to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, warmer climates expand the range of disease-carrying insects, spreading illnesses like Lyme disease, West Nile virus, and Zika to new regions.

Global warming intensifies hurricanes, floods, droughts, and wildfires. Droughts reduce water availability and harm agriculture, while floods and storms damage infrastructure and displace communities. Wildfire seasons are longer and more severe, with human-caused climate change already doubling the area of forest burned in recent decades. These events threaten lives, property, and food security.

Climate change imposes significant economic costs, including damage to infrastructure, reduced agricultural productivity, and increased healthcare expenses. It can disrupt livelihoods, exacerbate poverty, and strain social systems, particularly in regions with limited adaptive capacity. Delays in reducing greenhouse gas emissions increase the severity of these impacts and limit the ability to secure a livable future.

In Conclusion

In closing I can but only highlight the fact that the Bible presents a God who made and sustains the environment. It calls humankind to act as faithful stewards, mindful of the broader story of a good creation marred by sin, subject to climate shifts and ecological disturbances, yet providentially upheld by its Maker. Historical and scientific evidence - including geological strata indicating global cataclysm and archaeological corroborations of key biblical events - reinforces the reliability of the scriptural record.

So once again I think we should be paying attention to that same message Jesus spoke of back 2000 years ago and pay heed to his words as he again warns us;

“Though seeing, they do not see;

though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

For this people’s heart has become calloused;

they hardly hear with their ears,

and they have closed their eyes.

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

understand with their hearts

and turn, and I would heal them.’

Spiritual eyes and ears allow believers to perceive God’s truth, understand His will, and gain insight beyond the physical realm.

My prayer is as with the Apostle Paul's writing;

Ephesians 1:18 – “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, that you may know the hope to which he has called you, and the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.”

This verse emphasizes spiritual enlightenment and understanding of God’s calling and blessings.

"When Trump decided to start a war with Iran, he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I’m not going to mince words; an illegal war is exactly what Trump started and it is not going to end just because he says it has."

I really cannot understand how so many people across our world think this man is God's appointed, sent in the name of Christ to sort out Iran. US troops were told war on Iran was ‘all part of God’s divine plan. The implication is that the war was divinely authorized. For America’s use of the phrase “righteous war” in relation to its conflict with Iran is supposedly a moral framing—a way of presenting military action as justified, necessary, and ethically defensible. It isn’t a formal legal term; it’s a political and rhetorical one. This is based on recent U.S. statements during the 2026 escalation.

This from a President who promised 'We will restore peace all across the world.' Well where is it for all we see right now is absolute world chaos. Trump has kicked over a Hornet’s Nest and we are now going to pay the price of this stupidity. Not only has he stirred up this honet's nest but he is now demanding the rest of his Western Allies and even his enemies ie "China" should now be helping him out.

When we look at Christ teaching we see how He meant us to regard those around us we consider as our enemies He says;

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

In Luke 9:54, Jesus own disciples, known as the Sons of Thunder (James and John), expressed their desire to bring down fire to consume a Samaritan village that did not welcome them. This moment highlights their zealous and impulsive nature, reflecting a common expectation of the Messiah as a conquering figure. Jesus' response emphasizes compassion and mercy, contrasting human impulses with divine purpose, and teaches the importance of love and forgiveness over judgment.

Maybe Trump if as a said Christian should have listened likewise by having talked to the now dead Ayatollah Ali Khamenei instead of having him killed and stirring up this Hornet's nest. For even his own brother Mohsen Khamenei revealed how he warned the ex Supreme Leader of Iran to surrender to Jesus Christ. Maybe Trump should have followed up on the brother's own testimony of walking into Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's compound in Tehran to deliver a message that could have changed his life forever. Mohsen Khamenei's story is a testament to the real power of divine guidance and the transformative impact of Jesus Christ.

Despite the severe consequences that led to his arrest and imprisonment. Mohsen's story is one of hope and resilience, as he continues to spread the message of Jesus Christ and witness the spiritual awakening in Iran. This is what Trump's supposed own christianity should have done in continueing the talks with the regime and the now dead Ayatollah Ali Khamenei instead of killing him.

As even pre-war within the Middle East and Iran there was news that a Jesus Revolution may be underway. An unprecedented number of Muslims are choosing to follow Christ, especially in Iran as people search for a better life. As Iranians are growing tired of the ayatollahs and a nation led by the empty promises of their Islamic theocracy. An anonymous internal poll found that 80% now prefer a democratic government, and many are leaving Islam. For even the powerful testimony of Mohsen Khamenei reveals how he warned the Supreme Leader of Iran to surrender to Jesus Christ.

A spokesman for Open Doors in the Middle East, speaking before news of the death of Khamenei, said he was praying for a better future for Iran: "I do not celebrate war, nor do I take lightly the suffering it brings to ordinary families — in Iran, in Israel, and across the region. Every life is precious before God.

"Yet as an Iranian, I also cannot ignore the deep longing for freedom that has lived in the hearts of our people for generations. If this painful moment becomes a turning point toward justice and true liberty, then my prayer is that it leads not to greater destruction, but to the restoration of dignity, hope, and peace.

"As followers of Christ, we pray for the protection of the innocent, for restraint among leaders, and for a future where Iran and the region may know freedom without fear. May God bring light out of darkness and peace out of turmoil.”

This is where this war should be focusing on the people of Iran

Over a period of these past few years I have been writing about the war on Gaza and now Iran and find I have a real sadness for both communities alike. For surely we should be looking at both as we know the message Jesus brought was meant for all. One of reconciliation of both Jew and Gentile to come together and become "One in Christ."

As we see a great awaking for Christ right now in Iran surely this should be the message from the supposed Christian President of America. Sharing his faith with the Iranian Leadership as opposed to the indiscriminate bombing and creating chaos and further dissention in the region.

As such I still believe Jesus would have been be sitting with the widow and the orphan in Gaza and likewise He would be doing the same with the families of the children who died in the bombing of a school in Iran to bring about change.

As he says; “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

A President who promised 'We will restore peace all across the world.' Well where is it for all we see right now is absolute world chaos.

As Barack Obama spoke in tribute to Rev Jessie Jackson's at his funeral he connected Jackson’s legacy to the present, acknowledging the challenges facing democracy and civil society. He remarked, “We are living in a time when it can be hard to hope,”

What I see in Trump is from Jeremiah 6:13-14.

“From the least to the greatest,

all are greedy for gain;

prophets and priests alike,

all practice deceit.

They dress the wound of my people

as though it were not serious.

‘Peace, peace,’ they say,

when there is no peace.”

For something remarkable is happening across the Middle East. A counter-cultural gospel movement is growing disciples of Jesus deep within the heartland of Islam.

Starting in Iran, a radical form of evangelism and discipleship, predominantly led by brand new believers, has begun to spread across Muslim majority nations. Author Phil Moore shares the first-hand stories of these courageous Middle Eastern Christians and compares them to the words of Jesus to his seventy-two disciples in Luke 10. The striking similarities between their experiences show how this spectacular move of God relies on the same instruction, and Spirit, as the first followers of Jesus.

Recent surveys indicated strongly that across the Middle East and Iran, almost half the population is loosening their ties to Islam. Governments have reacted differently to calls for reforms of institutional religion.

Likewise in Gaza we seem to loose sight of this in the light of what the two warring sides are choosing to do to each other with these families caught up in the midst of the conflict. Yet we hear nothing of how much is happening in the Middle East in terms of people turning to God through Christ within these Islamic states.

US troops were told war on Iran was ‘all part of God’s divine plan. The implication is that the war was divinely authorized.

When American leaders describe this conflict as “righteous”, they cannot be claiming that the U.S war against Iran is fulfilling Ezekiel 38 or that the war is the biblical end‑times battle. Instead, they are using moral rhetoric—framing their military actions as justified, necessary, or protective. This is political language, not prophetic language.

In summary, Jesus, sent by God is called the "Prince of Peace" because He restores humanity's relationship with God. He was not sent to make war on people but offers us inner peace through His sacrifice, and promises a future of peace. His teachings and example provide hope and guidance for living harmoniously with others, making Him the embodiment of divine peace in a troubled world.

Jesus Christ offers a profound inner peace that transcends worldly circumstances. In John 14:27, He reassures His followers, saying, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you." This peace is a gift from the Holy Spirit, enabling believers to experience tranquillity amid life's challenges and even in the midst on this war on Iran.

Yet we have a supposedly Christian President of America with it's leadership saying this war on Iran divinely authorised, a“ battle between good and evil.”

Reports are emerging of Russian forces providing intelligence to Tehran that could help the Islamic regime target US forces in the Gulf.

Donald Trump's war with Iran is rapidly becoming global, with more than a dozen other countries in the firing line, or mobilising their armed forces, as Tehran fights back.

Warnings about World War Three have long been voiced ever since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine more than four years ago.

That was because of fears the conflict could spill over into neighbouring NATO states in Europe, drawing the nuclear-armed alliance into direct confrontation with Moscow, which also has a large arsenal of nuclear weapons.

But the world has just become even more combustible because of the US president's decision, along with Israel, to attack Iran with a ferocity of firepower that exceeded the opening days of the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Now reports are emerging of Russian forces providing intelligence to Iran that could help Tehran target American warships, troops and bases in the Gulf. At the same time, the US has asked Ukrainian soldiers for support in countering Iranian drones.

These alliances and allegiances underline the complexity of the chaos - and just how dangerous a moment this is."

This from a man who promised 'We will restore peace all across the world.' Well where is it for all we see right now is absolute world chaos?

Whereas Jesus says:" Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

The phrase "the peace I give is not as the world gives" from John 14:27 highlights the profound difference between the peace offered by Jesus and the temporary, superficial peace found in the world.

The choice is ours to make even with in the midst of this chaos.

Oceans is an eight-part documentary series on BBC Two, which seeks to provide a better understanding of the state of the Earth's oceans today, their role in the past, present and future and their significance in global terms. Paul Rose also documents some of the scientific observations his team made as a feature for BBC News.

Following this TV series as it reveals how quickly the oceans are warming up ever faster due to climate change is extremely frightening. Just indicating what we are actually doing to our oceans and begs the question as to what should we be doing ?. This as the warming of our oceans are an urgent clarion call for us all to pay attention. Increasing global temperatures will lead to droughts and floods as we are seeing now. The oceans will acidify to a degree not seen in fifty million years. All this will happen during the lifetime of a child born today.

The oceans are the world's largest carbon sink, absorbing approximately 90% of the excess heat caused by greenhouse gases and taking in 30% of carbon emissions. The health and stability of the ocean are critical in mitigating the effects of climate change.

The oceans are being harmed in various ways, including climate change causing global ocean temperatures to rise, changing how fish species migrate, affecting how animals reproduce, causing coral reefs to die, and unleashing dangerous pathogens. The global fishing industry is overexploiting fish populations, and killing various species unintended for capture such as dolphins, sharks, and whales. Industrial pollution from farms, factories, and boats fills marine environments with harmful chemicals, while plastic pollution is turning large sections of ocean into hazardous obstacle courses.

Yet just a week ago 12 February President Trump announced he was erasing the scientific finding that climate change endangers human health and the environment, ending the federal government’s legal authority to control the pollution that is dangerously heating the planet.

As many other supposed world leaders follow suite being led by a president who refers to climate change as a “hoax.” This as the administration is essentially saying that the vast majority of scientists around the world are wrong and that a hotter planet is not the menace that decades of research shows it to be. This is because of his policy of dig dig dig as he threatens the world for want of their material wealth.

As in Ukraine, Greenland and Venezuela threatened with taking over these countries for their oil reserves, rare earth deposits and material wealth. Trump’s focus on Venezuela is “about oil, not drugs,” USA Today. President Trump has made access to Greenland’s vast reserves of critical minerals a focus of ongoing negotiations. But experts say the U.S. is underestimating the difficulties of mining in a rapidly changing Arctic region that is warming faster than anywhere else on Earth. Extracting these critical minerals from Greenland without the right environmental safeguards risks causing further harm in a territory whose ice sheet is already rapidly melting, with disastrous results for the global climate but does he care? Hence this is where the voices of reason need to heard and to prevail.

This want of materials we see with Latin America accelerating deals to build regional supply chains for critical minerals. According to the head of the Inter-American Development Bank, echoing President Donald Trump’s strategic push to mine and process closer to home. The region is emerging as a key player in global mineral supply chains critical to low-carbon technologies. Latin America supplies 35% of the world’s lithium and 40% of its copper, making it a key partner in the energy transition. The region holds more than half of global lithium reserves and a third of the world’s copper.

Latin America is home to about 60 per cent of the world’s identified lithium reserves and produces about 46 per cent of its copper, with Peru and Chile leading the way. Brazil has the world’s second largest reserves of rare earths, according to the US Geological Survey, although production so far has been very small because of challenges in exploiting deposits.

The demand for critical minerals and rare earth elements, including for lithium, nickel, and cobalt, Chile finds itself at the forefront of a historic economic opportunity. This is the driving force behind Trump’s rejection of climate change access to these Latin American opportunities. As he is in the mix amidst the global scramble for these resources, caught in the geopolitical cross-hairs between the U.S. and China, lies a nation poised to make monumental strides. Chile’s lithium mines underscores the critical urgency for the U.S. to secure these essential mineral supply chains, deemed strategic for the entire U.S. economy’s stability.

As global warming rages on and the climate crisis grows ever more concerning, humans must do their part to understand the ecosystems of planet Earth and help conserve them. The series is a must-watch for anyone who cares about the planet and wants to take action. It not only showcases the beauty of marine life but also emphasizes the importance of ocean conservation. The series is narrated by Barack Obama, who uses his soothing voice to convey the urgent message of protecting our oceans. We need to heed the voice that conveys the sense of urgency needed to combat climate change. This rather than the voice of descent that is #DonaldTrump who is intent on threatening our world and raping it of it’s minerals for his own agenda. In the stupidity of supposedly wanting to boast about making America great again at the expense of our planet on the brink of no return due to climate change.

Changes we see right now without having to ask "What on Earth is Happening? For surely we can see the dramatic changes that Jesus spoke of back then with his disciples without having acknowledge the truth of them within the bible for they are the today’s news right now.

The very sort of things He spoke of that we see now as we wrestle with climate change, energy crises and the threat of Global conflict, as we witness this in a very unsettling time. Why the very rare earth substances matter more than ever before, as in the case of Trump wanting Greenland how important the battle to control them will shape our geopolitical future.

At the same time right now as we also enter a new space race – that will revolutionise life on Earth. Space: the new frontier, a wild and lawless place. It is already central to communication, economics, military strategy and international relations on Earth. Now, it is the latest arena for human exploration, exploitation – and, possibly, conquest. We’re heading up and out, and we’re taking our power struggles with us. China, the USA and Russia are leading the way. A frightening look at the future covering great-power rivalry; technology; commerce; combat in space; and what it means for all of us in terms of power politics and the future of humanity down here on Earth.

Pierced; Zechariah 12:10 Psalm 22 – Fulfilled in John 19:34-37

Not abandoned to decay; Psalm 16:10 – Fulfilled in Acts2:24-32.

So what would you say to discussion that Jesus had with his disciples back then.

The Disciples Ask About Signs of the End Times:

Stunned by Jesus’ prophecy on the Fig tree, the disciples ask Him, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3, NKJV). They want to know about the signs that will precede the destruction of the Temple and the end times.

Jesus responds with a detailed discourse, known as the Olivet Discourse, which covers the events leading up to His second coming. He warns them about:

• False messiahs and false prophets

• Wars and rumours of wars

• Famines, pestilences, and earthquakes

• Persecution and betrayal of believers

• The abomination of desolation

Jesus emphasizes the need for His followers to be vigilant and discerning, as many will come in His name, attempting to deceive people. He also encourages them to endure to the end, assuring them that those who remain faithful will be saved (Matthew 24:13).

Signs of the End of the Age.

Jesus cautions that many will come in His name, claiming to be the Christ, and will deceive many (Matthew 24:5). He emphasizes that if anyone says, “Look, here is the Christ!” or “There!” we should not believe it (Matthew 24:23). Even if they perform great signs and wonders, we must remain steadfast in our faith and not be led astray. Wars, Famines, and Earthquakes that Jesus foretells that there will be:

• Wars and rumours of wars

• Famines

• Pestilences

• Earthquakes in various places

•

But, He assures us that these are merely the beginning of sorrows and not the end itself (Matthew 24:6-8). We must not be troubled by these events, as they are part of the birthing pains that the world must endure before His return.

Hence the question for us now in all these things that He spoke of then do we actually see them happening now.?

Current global events are marked by political unrest, economic challenges, and significant humanitarian crises, reflecting a world in turmoil. In today’s world—marked by global unrest, moral confusion, technological advancement, and cultural shifts—many people sense that history is accelerating. The events we witness often resemble the very signs Jesus and the prophets described thousands of years ago. This fuels an important question: Are we living in the end times? While no one knows the exact day or hour of Christ’s return (Matthew 24:36), the Bible makes it clear that believers can understand the season.

One of the most hopeful and powerful end-times prophecies is Jesus’ declaration in Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” This prophecy reveals that before the end of the age arrives, the message of salvation through Jesus Christ will reach every nation, tribe, and people group on earth.

Hence I think I’ll close with this passage in Isaiah 45:22-24. As it is a powerful invitation to salvation emphasizing that God through Christ is the only Saviour and calling all people to turn to Him for deliverance. This phrase is a divine invitation and command, emphasizing the necessity of turning to God for salvation.

The call to "turn" implies repentance, a turning away from sin and idolatry towards God. In the context of Isaiah, this is a call to the Israelites and the nations to abandon their false gods and trust in the one true God. The concept of turning to God for salvation is echoed throughout Scripture, such as in Joel 2:12-13, where God calls His people to return to Him with all their heart.

This turning is not merely physical but involves a complete change of heart and mind, aligning with the New Testament call to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19).

“Look to Me, and be saved,

All you ends of the earth!

For I am God, and there is no other.

I have sworn by Myself;

The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness,

And shall not return,

That to Me every knee shall bow,

Every tongue shall take an oath.

He shall say,

‘Surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength.

To Him men shall come,

And all shall be ashamed

I have just recently finished reading this book and the upheaval caused by both Britain and America wanting to retain control of the oil in Iran in 1953.

So what has changed since then and when Donald Trump was sworn in as US president for a second time in January, he made a promise. "My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier," he told his audience at home and far beyond.

Are we living in the worst era in human history – A Harvard professor says; “Deaths from wars have increased in recent years due to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, conflicts in Ethiopia, Sudan, and Gaza. We’ve erased 30 years of progress, bringing us back to where we were in the early 1990s.

"What’s the point of anything when everything feels like it’s falling apart? We are surrounded by fear every day. It’s on the news. It’s in our feeds. It’s even in our conversations." A quote by author C. S. Lewis.

My bible says; “Because they lead my people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash.” Ezekiel 13:10.

Are we not being white-washed into believing Trump really does want peace or is it just the oil in Venezuela and Iran, the rare earth minerals in Greenland and Ukraine. Or "a lot of mineral rights in Africa"?.

Like the U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal, Washington's role will be part peacemaker and part stakeholder in the restive region's long-term stability for the sake of America's own economic security.

What of Africa? President Donald Trump signed a major minerals agreement with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) last week as part of a broader U.S.-mediated ceasefire that has been touted as a potential turning point in efforts to end decades of violence in the region.

The U.S. would be getting "a lot of mineral rights" from Congo as part of the agreement, Trump told reporters on Friday. And so what of Iran?

Iran- "In the days following the U.S. strikes in Iran, President Donald Trump has threatened to depose Iran’s leader and institute a regime change, igniting debates over interventionism and resurfacing memories of the last time America helped topple a government in Iran decades ago." Donald Trump's comments on Iran's leadership suggest a desire for a regime change, possibly aimed at restoring a pro-Western government. The U.S. has a history of supporting democratic regimes, and Trump's statements reflect a potential desire to influence Iran's political landscape. However, the exact nature of this desire remains unclear, and it is essential to consider the broader context of U.S.-Iran relations and the implications of such a regime change.

"While the current crisis is a far cry from the domestic and international events surrounding the 1953 coup, talk of regime change evokes memories of the U.S.-backed operation that had far-reaching effects in Iran and across the region more than 70 years ago."

This is the last battle. Pahlavi will return!” was one of the standout chants from nationwide protests that gripped Iran on Thursday night after the exiled former crown prince exhorted his compatriots to hit the streets.

“Javid Shah (long live the king)!” cried the protesters. “Reza Shah, God bless your soul!”

Thursday’s protests were the culmination of days of demonstrations that began in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar against economic grievances but have quickly taken on an anti-regime focus. Pahlavi, who is based in the US, has sought to position himself as a de facto leader. Support for the deposed monarchy is taboo in Iran, a criminal offense, and a sentiment long frowned upon by a society that staged a popular uprising to overthrow the Shah’s dictatorship. It is unclear what might be driving the renewed excitement for the royal family and its titular head in exile, analysts say.

Do Iranians genuinely support the restoration of the monarchy or are they just fed up with their repressive theocracy?

The question that now needs asking is; "So what does Trump want"? Ask yourselves what did he want of Venezuela? And now what does he want of Greenland?

“We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security,” Trump told reporters traveling on Air Force One on Sunday night. “Right now, Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place.” Donald Trump.

A massive island made up of approximately 836,000 square miles, Greenland sits off the north-eastern coast of Canada, between the United States and Europe. It is strategically situated along what is referred to as the GIUK gap, a maritime passage between Greenland, Iceland, and the U.K. that links the Arctic to the Atlantic Ocean leading into North America.

Its location has made it crucial to the defence of North America since World War II.

However more than this, with his policy statement of "Dig dig dig!." What’s more, Greenland is rich with oil and rare earth minerals, like neodymium and dysprosium, which can be used to make objects like smartphones and magnets, among others. It additionally has deposits of diamonds, graphite, lithium, copper, nickel and gallium.

So what should we believe of this world in turmoil to day? where many are saying we are now living in very dangerous times. Do we believe those who say "Peace peace peace when there is no peace" or do we look to the bible that says;

Watching 2025 from the "As seen from Space" program last night once again brought into focus just how much damage humanity is causing through both our neglect and wanton greed for the Earth's precious minerals. The program provided a unique perspective on the world's activities of 2025. As the Satellite images have been instrumental in covering natural disasters, war, and humanitarian crises. That offered a glimpse into the impact of human actions on the planet. For instance, the eye of hurricane Melissa, the earthquake in Myanmar.

When you look at Earth from space, something becomes painfully obvious.

Just one absolute disaster on the program really brought this sharply into focus as we watched a mudslide caused by the glacier melt above a town wiping out a town in the lower regions completely. As Africa faces "urgent and escalating realities" of climate change such as persistent drought and deadly flooding, warned Celeste Saulo, head of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), which supports adaptation efforts.

The brutal war in Sudan, now deep into its third year, has shifted its centre of gravity to the strategic central region of Kordofan from Darfur, threatening to split the country in two.

Devastating floods in South Sudan in recent months left thousands of herders without their most precious possessions: goats, cows and cattle. The animals are central to people’s lives and age-old customs including marriage and cultural traditions. All risk being swept away or scorched by the ravages of climate change.

“Extreme weather and climate change impacts are hitting every single aspect of socio-economic development in Africa and exacerbating hunger, insecurity and displacement,” the UN World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said on Monday.

WMO said that average surface temperature across Africa in 2024 was approximately 0.86°C above the 1991–2020 average.

Although Africa contributes the least to global warming, the continent will unfairly be hit hardest by its effects. As it is home to some of the poorest countries in the world, there may not be sufficient resources for the continent to adapt to the impacts of climate change. The UN’s Global Goal 13 calls for urgent action to combat climate change and this can only be achieved if Africa is protected from and prepared for the impacts of global warming. Marine heat spike;

Sea surface temperatures were also the highest on record. “Particularly large increases in sea surface temperatures have been observed in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea,” WMO said.

Data shows that almost the entire ocean area around Africa was affected by marine heatwaves of strong, severe or extreme intensity last year and especially the tropical Atlantic.

El Niño influence

Highlighting Africa’s particular vulnerability to our warming planet – caused mainly by rich nations burning fossil fuels – the UN agency said that floods, heatwaves and droughts forced 700,000 people out of their homes across the continent last year.

WMO also noted that the El Niño phenomenon was active from 2023 into early 2024 and “played major roles in rainfall patterns” across Africa.

In northern Nigeria alone, 230 people died in floods last September that swept across the capital of Borno state, Maiduguri, displacing 600,000, severely damaging hospitals and contaminating water in displacement camps.

Regionally, rising waters caused by torrential rains ravaged West Africa and impacted a staggering four million people.

Conversely, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe suffered the worst drought in at least two decades, with cereal harvests in Zambia and Zimbabwe 43 per cent and 50 per cent below the five-year average, respectively.

Heat shock

Heatwaves are also a growing threat to health and development and Africa, WMO said, noting that the past decade has also been the warmest on record. Depending on the dataset, 2024 was the warmest or second-warmest year.

Blistering temperatures already impact children’s education, with schools closing in March 2024 in South Sudan as temperatures reached 45°C. Worldwide, at least 242 million pupils missed school because of extreme weather in 2024, many of them in sub-Saharan Africa, according to the UN Children’s Fund, UNICEF.

Beyond education, rising temperatures across the continent are making Africa more water-scarce and food-insecure, with North African countries the hardest-hit.

The international community's response to conflicts, such as in Ukraine and Yemen, involves humanitarian aid, economic sanctions, and political actions, reflecting the complex nature of modern geopolitical. Worldwide, some of the most widespread and damaging drought events in recorded history have occurred in recent years due to climate change and resource depletion.

The Bible provides various insights into the nature of famine and its impact on communities. Famine is often symbolized not only as physical scarcity but also as spiritual drought and testing of faith. Jesus and the prophets offer a biblical perspective on natural disasters and famine, emphasizing God's sovereignty, justice, and mercy. These events serve as warnings, judgments, and opportunities for redemption but are we listening.

The Light within the Stars, is at the heart of our story awaiting His creation to open our own hearts, to say yes and thus become drawn in to His eternity.

Before we ever spoke His name, before we ever opened a Bible or heard a sermon, the Light was already shining. It was there in the stars — not just as beauty, but as invitation. The heavens declared the glory of God, and the cosmos whispered a story older than time: a story of love, fall, and redemption. This Light — the Logos, the eternal Christ — was not waiting for us to find Him. He was already seeking us. Already drawing us. Already awakening the deep memory of who we are and where we come from.

“The true Light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” (John 1:9)

But the Light does not force itself. It does not coerce. It calls. And in every human heart, there is a moment — or many — when the Light breaks through the fog. A moment of clarity. A pang of longing. A glimpse of beauty that feels like home.

That moment is not salvation. It is invitation, because though the Light shines on all, it is only those who turn toward it, who confess the separation, who say "yes" — that are transformed.

“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus… purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)

To confess our separation is not to wallow in shame. It is to name the distance between us and the Source of Love — and to let that distance be healed. The cross is not a barrier. It is the bridge. The Light that shone in the stars took on flesh, entered our darkness, and made a way home. So yes — the Light is in all. But the life of that Light is given to those who say yes. Not to a religion. Not to a doctrine. But to a Person. The Light in the stars is real. But it is the yes in the heart that brings us home.

“To all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

This passage reveals that the truth is not merely found in doctrines or religious systems, but in the personal invitation of the Light — the Logos, the eternal Christ — who calls and awakens the heart. The truth is experienced as a moment of clarity and a heartfelt 'yes' that transforms and brings us home to the Source of Love

Truth is not imposed; it is received in freedom and response. The Light shines on all, but it is the yes in the heart that opens the way to fellowship, healing, and new life. This is the essence of the truth for those who ask: an invitation to turn, confess, and say yes to the Person who is the Light itself. Jesus says to everyone of us "Know the truth and the truth will set you free."

As such all the light perceived in all other religions is through Him and in anyone truly seeking the true light He will find you but then He needs to be acknowledged as the way back to God.
