To appear as bait to butches, I think it somewhat depends on your own style. You can go super obvious and just wear a shirt that says it and that’ll make it wildly clear. But some things I look for when I’m trying to determine if a femme is hoping a butch will look disrespectfully are:

coding rainbow, lesbian, bi, or pansexual flag colors. It might be in her earrings or a tattoo or a sticker on her water bottle.

Nails 💅 if they’ve got the “lesbian manicure” I’m out. But check out the nail art for clues

Lace or some daintily strappy undergarment showing in some way. Sexy bra peeking out of a low cut shirt or skirt barely covering something delicious

Hey there, I am definitely not the authority or one to validate or invalidate anyone’s stoneness. If you feel like a stone butch and want to operate under that identity, we welcome you with open arms (despite many of us not being huggers).

It sounds like you already have an idea of what your bodily boundaries are and that’s such a huge piece. And those could change as you gain experience, so give yourself space to lean into what feels right for you.

What a treat to receive this message. I totally hear you about your friend group treating you like a freak because of some boundaries. The queer community has been shitting on us for quite some time. I think part of my promiscuity and softened boundaries in my early twenties were direct attempts to combat the idea that I wasn’t lesbian enough because I didn’t want to receive touch in a traditionally acceptable lesbian way. Few people understand how it could be possible to enjoy a persons body more than your own. Sex is inherently selfish in a way and I think folks that willingly misunderstand stone sex can’t imagine our dynamic without resentment or some deep, growing issue. And that’s the ironic part- stone sex is the piece that exists so those issues don’t build between partners.

It’s the hottest thing on earth to know a femme gets wet sucking my cock. It makes my brain break when a femme lets me know she wants me to use her body for anything I want. I can totally understand that concern. I worried that I was wrong using the term “stone” myself for feeling like I should have found it sooner if it was right for me or like I hadn’t earned it because I did let some people touch me when I was younger. And even if we’re both wrong about this or anything else one day, it doesn’t make us bad people or wrong about everything. Knowing yourself and what you’re comfortable doing is what’s right for you. And that’s not wrong.
