kuyo took some time off after graduating from college and recently started working for the bureau. he mostly hangs out with rei as they have been friends since high school but they work in different departments so kuyo doesn’t have much info about the details of rei’s job. meanwhile kassandra keeps continuing her vigilante activities while also working (haven’t decided where she works yet but it’s highly likely the same place darren works since i gotta establish the kuyo-kayden bond with kassandra-darren as darren is kayden’s counterpart for now). she also feels extremely guilty about what happened with valerie a few years ago, who was her mentor back in high school and her close confidant afterwards.

Rei: a highly skilled and rising employee of the bureau, he started working there right after university and eventually joined FROST due to his dedication. He’s charismatic, manipulative, and great at winning people over. He cares a lot for his sister, believing she will follow in his footsteps, and makes time to meet with her despite his busy schedule. He fought and killed Valerie, his former headmistress back in Wellston, whom he quite disliked. Got told off by his superiors because his job was to just take down Kassandra. He doesn’t regret what he did though, as he thinks it was necessary since she was poisoning students’ minds. It worked in the bureau’s favor in the long run so he got away with just a light scolding.

John grew up violent, always ready get in fights, and almost never lost any of them. His mother wasn’t around during his early childhood, and his father left a few years after, with no contact since. His uncle raised him, though their relationship wasn’t the best. John finds him pretentious and controlling while Cameron finds him stubborn and rebellious. As the king of Wellston, he was known for his short temper and tendency to start fights. After befriending Seraphina, he left his position to Arlo and became the ace, despite Remi's discontent. Spending time with Seraphina made him more carefree, though he still lost his temper easily. Lost his ability in an ambush by Spectre and a while after that, he temporarily regained with the help of his father, who turns out to be working for Spectre. Later started working for them to maintain his power. Even though they work together after their reunion, he deeply resents his father for abandoning him as a child, while William still tries to build trust with him.
