Literally how can you hate him

Oh my does this only add to my feelings that Salem and Oscar meeting is NOT going to go well haha. I promise nothing will get to me as long as its in a fictional show, so no matter how upsetting the content I will personally be fine. If anything I’ll just enjoy some angst potential and the discussion points I’ll gain from it.

Anyways, I will admit I’ve been enjoying this volume a lot more than I expected to. I think the way Clover and Qrow’s entire deal was handled last volume just put a sour taste in my mouth and I forgot how enjoyable the rest of rwby is. I’m still not really enjoying the writing choices around Qrow so far, I just don’t like how bloodthirsty he’s become at all it feels wrong to me, but also I’ve only seen him for that short bit in episode 2. I’m willing to give it some time to see where it goes.

Especially considering I didn’t like the Ren and Nora plot line at first haha, but it’s won me over now because I like the direction they’re leading it in. The talk Nora had with Weiss and Blake was a really great one, and it’s wonderful to see her getting development. Now all we need is a flip side of getting more insight on Ren, and even hopefully some development on his front as well, and I’ll be extremely happy. I think after what happened to Nora, perhaps we’ll get some developments with him? I can’t imagine he’ll be doing too well after seeing the state she’s in.

Let’s see now, predictions for what’s next... I do think the next episode is going back to Oscar, and I do believe everyone will fail to save him. I’m extremely curious how Oscar and Salem interacting is going to go. Beyond that I can’t wait to see how Oscar interacts with any of Salem’s crew, if he’s allowed to meet them. Oscar and Tyrian interactions sound like they’d be both strange and fun to watch (mostly because theyre two of my favorite characters and I love seeing my favorites get shoved into weird scenarios for interactions. Like the scene of Qrow, Robyn, Jacques, and Watts in prison together that was FANTASTIC)

Obviously Ozpin is my favorite above everyone else, he always has been. Oscar simply by proxy is also a favorite! I love both of them very much.

Very next would be Qrow, I’ve loved him ever since his introduction.

I also love Clover, Ren, Nora, Tyrian, and Watts. 

I’d love discussing any of them! I still am totally open to other characters discussions, but those are my favorites and I certainly have a lot of thoughts about all of them!

Since Ozpin is back we might have some fun discussions in our future!  I missed him so much, I’m so glad he’s returned.

BUT I would like to say, despite being an Ozpin themed blog, I enjoy discussing any part of the show so feel free to send me discussion points on any part of the show.

I’d also like to apologize if I come across more critical of the show than I have in the past. It’s lost a lot of my love from some of it’s writing decisions towards the end of last volume, but I’d like to keep watching and see where this volume takes us. I’ve decided I want to allow myself to view it under a more critical lens this volume and see how I feel about the writing directions. I mean no hate or harm though! I want to be fair in my critiques if any arise, and do not plan on bashing mindlessly at all.

2 That is to say. I think its funny if Oz had no idea what was happening in Vol6 finale. Oscar’s stress has risen all day, Oz kind of knew theres a plane and a plan, and suddenly there is a giant robot. He has no idea where the robot came from. But there is a robot shooting them. Should he join the fight? Do they even want his help? Whos controlling the robot – Atlas, Vacuo, Salem? He should at least tell Oscar how to land the plane, the robot just shot them. Whys Oscar in a plane anyway?

Haha, honestly that's a really funny concept!

The way I pictured it myself is that when Ozpin and Oscar were sharing pretty even ground, switching back and forth a lot and such, Oz probably was aware of everything going on. I’d imagine he stuck close to the front of the conscious to stay aware since he was a very active player in everything going on. But after everyone got mad at him and he secluded himself, he pushed himself so far back that Oscar couldn’t even feel him anymore. I think at that point, he stopped being aware of the outside world.

It hurt too much to be aware you know? These people he loved were angry with him, he had hurt them despite not meaning to, and he didn’t want to hear anything else they might say, so he locked himself away.

Like you said though, I’m sure he could still feel what Oscar was feeling, and that’s why we saw him make a comeback in very dire situations. When Oscar starts feeling like he’s going to die, Oz definitely felt it and came back to help.
