Whereas the right of you keep rusting inside your head .

Christmas is around the corner (or at least you’ll get Christmas break if you don’t celebrate it) so it’s a good time to study what you’ve learnt the past term.

Here are some ways to study over Christmas and actually make the most out of it:

Make a list of every topic you want to study. Write the topic and sub tops beneath that.

Prioritise certain topics that you have to study. It’s only 2 weeks so you may not get everything done. Focus on the stuff you really need to do.

Know which days you definitely can’t study (e.g. meet ups, Christmas, birthdays) and don’t schedule any studying on those days

List the ways you’ll revise/study each topic. Flash cards? Mindmaps? General notes? It’s good to know exactly how you’ll revise so you don’t have to think about it constantly.

Find somewhere to study. It’s busy so somewhere quiet or at least have a way to stop the noise (headphones etc.) just find somewhere you can easily focus

Give yourself breaks. It’s called Christmas break for a reason. Allow yourself to take a day off and enjoy some down time with yourself, family or friends.

Study little and often. Don’t do it all day everyday because you need a chance to re-energise so do a little bit at a time. Try not to overwhelm yourself.

Do a marathon study session. A few hours on a day when you don’t have any plans is always good so you don’t have

Use your family. This sounds odd on its own but who says revision is just for one? Ask them to test you on your notes and flash cards or if they’re interested with your subject then you can teach them everything you know (or most of it maybe not quotes and statistics)

Reward yourself. With chocolate, mince pies, Yule logs and all the great Christmas foods.

Another random thing is to use some of your Christmas money to buy stationary or ask people for some. New stationary always puts me in the mood to study so try it out.

Listen to a Christmas/ winter playlist with instrumental songs and such. To stay in that Christmas mood!
