At Ovid Game, we are constantly pushing our boundaries to create a better indie gaming experience. Our team has just shared a raw vertical gameplay clip showcasing the major gameplay updates of Space Conker.

While keeping our UI design consistent, we reworked the core space physics and shooting mechanics. We also introduced multiple language options and provided an early preview of our newly designed spaceship hangar, which is still actively under development. In this playtest, we jump straight into Easy mode to clean out asteroid fields and prepare our combat system for the upcoming massive Boss encounter.

Space Conqueror is back with an amazing new update, and we couldn’t be prouder. As indie game developers, Ovid Game is always trying to build immersive worlds while keeping gaming inclusive and accessible for every single captain out there.

We redesigned our ship hangar system from scratch, allowing you to spend credits on upgrading your Armor, Speed, and Weapon Damage before jumping into tough asteroid sectors and facing off against giant Sector Flagship bosses. We also polished the performance, making the space action fluid and fast-paced on both PC and mobile web browsers.

But the real magic lies in the controls. Space Conqueror requires zero keyboard inputs. You can play it using just a mouse, or even with Eye-Tracking devices! This opens up a comfortable, one-handed control layout that we hope makes our space adventure accessible to everyone.

We have been working on a new mini project: a car soccer game inspired by the massive success and fun gameplay of Rocket League! At Ovid Game, we're all about experimenting and trying new things, so we decided to put our own spin on this exciting concept.

Developing this game was quite an adventure! We focused on vehicle customization, adding lots of options to let you create your unique style, including these cool, shining decals. It was fun to see how such small visual details can change the game's atmosphere and the player's experience.

When it comes to gameplay, we aimed for an arcade feel, but the physics-based controls turned out to be quite tricky to balance. We realized that what felt natural to us could be challenging for new players. Finding that "sweet spot" between challenging and frustrating is always a tough task, but it's part of the gamedev life.
