I don't know about this exact model but these kinds of chronos with the antennae have been popular for decades.

I remember sunlight affects the reading in these styles but I don't remember in which direction. I think shooting in shade or if it's too cloudy gives you wrong readings but it might be the other way around.

As riflebrass said they are affected by light conditions. Best case scenario is overcast skies, and worse is direct sunlight. Uneven sunlight is also troublesome. Shoot thru chronograph also have to be level with a level shot path to get the most accurate readings.

I probably need to up my tactical gear instead of all hunting gear. You guys have plate carriers or chest rigs or battle belts? All the above, specific gear for each? Keep them set up and ready to go?

Yes to all three - I run a spiritus with lvl 4s, a 3 placard mag pouch, and admin pouch on my plate carrier.. have a 6 mag chest rig w/all the usual fixings. Battle belt with medical 2 pistol mags and another rifle mag carrier. Knife goes in different spots depending on which knife I feel like running.. typically an SRK behind my pistol near my ass cheek.

For shits and gigs I recently bought a complete osprey mk4 but think I wasted my money bc o can find the 3a soft inserts anywhere

Got a battle belt coming and a spiritus mini chest rig. Belt has two kydex mag holders, pistol holster, and dump pouch. Once that gets here I will figure out what else I need.
