It’s days like today I’m ashamed to be Irish and scared for the woman of this country. I believe her.

I am so absolutely disgusted in my county and the fact that when you see the words ‘I believe her’ you know exactly what they mean. A girl was gang raped and there is EVIDENCE. The men deleted whatsapp conversations and one even had his phone wiped. They all changed their stories during the case. They were all only questioned in court for 1-1.5 days. The VICTIM, on the other hand was questioned in court for 8 days and never changed her story. Her underwear and clothes were shown aroud the court room and she was slut shamed! She had bruising on her inner thighs and was bleeding and there are messages of her telling her friend that if she went to the police the men would get off and she would be humiliated and that is exactly what happened. The men were declared not guilty and I am done with this backwards country.
