So, as advance notice, the next several logs are divided up as “part 1/part 2”. Being new at this, we went into it with a small (and in hindsight, over-optimistic) backlog that we burned through immediately when I got sick. That made us realize we needed a much more robust backlog, and to slow things down while we build that. Breaking logs in half is a way of keeping to the weekly schedule while making sure that far future updates go much more smoothly. Thanks for bearing with us!

Hey guys, the site is officially live. Pages are cleaned up, there's some new art, but most importantly, BDBN has started serializing. We'll be posting a new log every Monday, but for this first update, we're starting with two.

1. Prologue: 2009/2027

Growing up, Dominic always looked out for his more magical sister Terra. He learned to navigate the complexities of fey politics with his intelligence and social savvy, but now works in the human world as a journalist critical of the DSC. He blames himself for Terra's current circumstances, and hopes that her return also signals a return to their previous relationship.

Ellie is Soren’s older sister, an equally powerful psychic occasionally called by the epithet “the Higher Power of Fate”. Like their father, Ellie is a seer with the ability to foretell the future, as well as ‘retcon’ events that are inconsistent with the narrative presented by her visions. She has mixed feelings about her powers, as well as how often people contrast her with her infamous sibling, whom she has done everything to protect since childhood.

Pandora’s original caretaker, who fled the DSC with her under circumstances he is somewhat cagey about. Thanks to a chance encounter, he seeks shelter with Mattias. Lysander is a psychic, a self-described “memory reader” who can page through thoughts and dreams, but focuses on a theoretical understanding of magic. Cantankerous and theatrical, he is quite different from Mattias, and sparks often fly between the pair over how best to keep Pandora safe.
