it's the fact that she only salvages colonel's memory chip that affects some of my opinion there, if she actually fused with his body i would assume that this is more like rush adaptors in mega man 6 where she's forcibly using him as a support unit (NOT AN INTENDED THING TO DO TO YOUR BROTHER'S CORPSE)

i really like this iris/zero reverse art i saw in a random line sticker set years ago whose page is now down so i can't find any more of them
i really appreciate that they include her floating mines in the background. tbh people don't talk about iris's battle form much. it's rather samus aran / doomguy-y, and it's implied that she becomes this "ultimate reploid" thing by incorporating colonel's data. but i like to think she was always meant to interface with this ride armor shell and just didnt have the drivers
i think when she merges with colonel's memory to become the "ultimate reploid" for a bit it's not really so much that she was going super saiyan mode as like, she always had this ability to power suit style invoke the ride armor. but she didn't like fighting so she wasn't very good at it. she still doesn't attack like somebody who's used to this body or perform tricks or anything like a lot of combat reploids do, the fight really depends on her sheer power and resilience. she just kinda flies very slowly across the room while her ablative armor turns into mines
