Learning: A Life-Long Endeavor
This week has marked an important point of this project: the first week of the sale itself. I have nearly 60 volunteers that have already given their part in this mission to raise awareness and funds for the local homeless issues.
In this excitement, there is also a lot of stress on myself to adapt to anything that comes at me. So far, I am trying to find a way to better advertise the sale and to be able to generate more sales. I have had to cope with days that just donât seem to have enough hours. There are days where I am expected to be in 4 or 5 places at the same time; and obviously, I cannot. This forces me to make decisions. This forces me to adapt.
The issue of being a life-long learner is not black-and-white. You must be flexible, to be able to apply what you learned in previous situations in order to ensure a positive outcome. I went into the craft sale with little-idea of what to expect, and I still am figuring things out.
Life is a journey to learn about the world though the sciences, ourselves through the humanities, and most importantly to learn how to care and love those around us through work and dedicated service.
Kind regards,
Benjamin
