Dreamy landscape of the past, July 2020
one thing that impcore citizens, especially usamericans, forget is that imperial core citizenship itself is a privilege. you can be oppressed in countless ways but you will still benefit materially from living in the imperial core. every other axis of oppression exists alongside of that. a homeless person in the us, while they’re still marginalized and discriminated against, are in fact less marginalized than a homeless person in the global south. a racialized person in the impcore can still hold privileges over a racialized individual in the periphery because they benefit from imperialism in ways the person from the periphery does not. a woman in the global north still has benefits and privileges women in the global south do not. that privilege doesn’t disappear because you are oppressed in other ways.
and even by making this post i know many will still fail to understand that there are material advantages to living in the imperial core, to living in the us and being a citizen. this site can barely grasp the concept that men hold a position of privilege despite being oppressed in various other forms, they can barely grasp the idea that a queer person can be marginalized and still privileged due to being white. but regardless of that i think it’s still important to bring up as a reminder

im too politically minded to believe in “do anything you want forever” at this point. maybe think with your mind about the implications of your beliefs before acting on them actually

[ID: Tweet by @/NateB_Panic with an excerpt attached that reads, "Rape followed by the murder of Vietnamese women was so common that US soldiers had a special term for it: double veteran." Fuck July 4th and fuck America."
The excerpt reads, "Rape of Vietnamese women by US troops "took place on such a large scale that many veterans considered it standard operating procedure." It was "systematic and collective"; an "unofficial military policy". One soldier termed it a "mass military policy." Indeed, rape followed by murder of Vietnamese women was "so common that American soldiers had a special term for the soldiers who committed the acts in conjunction: a double veteran". Examples of soldier testimony regarding rape include: "…they raped the girl, and then, the last man to make love to her, shot her in the head." End ID]

In recent days, there has been a growing number of reports and rumors concerning the so-called 'Trump announcement on the surrender of Hamas
"What is being promoted in the media regarding the 'surrender of the resistance’s weapons' or the 'disarmament of the factions' is nothing more than part of the psychological and political warfare being waged by the United States and the Zionist entity in an attempt to market a false victory that they were unable to achieve on the battlefield. Having failed to break the will of the resistance through military force, the occupation is now attempting to achieve its objectives through political and media pressure."
Since Al-Aqsa Flood, a large part of the international discussion has focused on condemning the Palestinian resistance, while the Zionist se
"Under colonial conditions, time does not work in favor of the colonized. Every year that passes without change means more settlements, more land confiscation, more Palestinian displacement, and the deeper entrenchment of the colonial system.
Negotiations are often presented as the only alternative to resistance. Yet the problem is not choosing between resistance and negotiations. The problem lies in assuming that a colonized people can negotiate its national rights with the very power colonizing it while the colonial structure itself remains intact.
The history of national liberation movements demonstrates that freedom is not born from agreements between the colonizer and the colonized. It emerges through the dismantling of the colonial system itself. As long as that system endures, negotiations can do no more than administer colonial reality—they cannot bring it to an end."
