It's a really good show that Disney dumped for tax purposes so AMC bought it and airs it.

Loose reimagining of Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea".

It's genuinely good, steampunk fantasy with political intrigue, the dangers of colonialism, action, strong female characters, loads of respectful POC rep, and great aesthetic. The CGI might be a little cheap and campy but the acting is lovely and the plot is intense, complex and heartfelt.

They even went as far as invent a whole historically accurate creole language for one of the characters.

It's pretty damn good but nobody is talking about it? And zero marketing whatsoever?
