Just some lazy headcanons that I felt like writing up! Here’s to all of the Potterheads out there whether you’re a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin…but here’s my personal opinion of what houses the Hosts would be sorted into if they were in Hogwarts;)

~Admin Cici

Tamaki-Gryffindor

It makes sense to me that Tamaki would be in Gryffindor. Despite how childish he acts when comes down always putting his friends and others before himself and his own happiness. He denied his feelings for Haruhi as long as he could, in order to keep the host club running. So I think Tamaki would make a great Gryffindor.

Kyoya-Hufflepuff b>

Some people will be very surprised at this, and they may think the Shadow King is better suited to being a Slytherin or a Ravenclaw. But I do think Kyoya suits this house if not for one reason only-his unwavering loyalty to Tamaki.

He manages to bribe the Newspaper Club into leaving Tamaki alone, by recording their plans to uncover Tamaki’s “darker side” and threatening to destroy them. In episode 15 of the anime, he actually tries to help Tamaki win the “refreshing” contest, by showing him the one thing he can’t mess up…playing the piano(and he almost wins too.)

Hell, in the manga he searches for Tamaki’s mother in France during a class trip to try and reunite her with her son! I mean…that is friendship GOALS right there. How could Kyoya be considered a Slytherin for that? Even though he has some Slytherin traits, I believe that Kyoya is very much a Hufflepuff.

Hikaru-Slytherin

This probably comes as no surprise to any one, but have you seen this boy pull pranks with his twin? He can be sneaky all right. But Hikaru isn't in this house just because he's a prankster.

We all know how jealous he gets of Arai, even though Haruhi definitely sees him as nothing more than an old friend from middle school. His awkwardness, his tendency to get very possessive over the people who matter the most to him are all traits of a Slytherin in my eyes.

Kaoru-Slytherin

Again, while I could sort the twins into different houses, I doubt Kaoru would be pleased at being seperated from his brother.

While Kaoru is the more socially adept twin, he also has the same tendency as his twin to pull pranks and be mischevious in general.

If you don't believe me-the episode where the twins fought-or rather dyed his hair blue and staged a whole fight with Hikaru! That's proof in itself.

Honey-Ravenclaw

On paper, Honey would probably make a great Hufflepuff. But at the same time, Honey seems to be able to tell who will end up with who in both the anime and the manga long before Tamaki and the others can(cause they're all charming doofuses-apart from the Shadow King himself of course;)

Mori-Hufflepuff

This is pretty obvious-even when Mori is giving out to Honey, it's for his own good. Mori may be slient but his actions speak a thousand words as he standd by Honey and is modest about his kendo skills. Mori is a model Hufflepuff through and through!

Haruhi-Griffindor

This one is a no-brainer-lr at least to me it is. The reason Haruhi is at Ouran in the first place despite her "commoner" status is because of her intellgence and her humour is quite witty if not a bit dry. So by that logic, one would slot Haruhi into Ravenclaw.

But I feel Haruhi is just as brave in her own ways. She has the guts to follow her chosen career, and she got through her mother's death at such a young age. But most importantly(at the risk of sounding cheesy), she's brave enough to follow her heart. Don't tell me that her taking off her wig in the anime finale is 1) the literal definition of wigs being snatched and 2) brave as hell considering she could have easily let Tamaki go back to France.

Honestly, Hikaru sometimes was a dense as a brick wall. No joke. 

You had been trying to surprise him for ages with the news that you were expecting his child, but he just wasn’t catching on. It was getting to the point where you were kind of wondering if his brain had shut down or not. It’s not like you had only tried a once or twice to spring the good news on him, no, you had tried at least ten times to get him to notice what was happening.

First was the plate full of “baby” foods. From baby carrots to baby corn, you tried to get him to connect the dots, but all he said was, “Wow, Y/N, this is a lot of vegetables!”

Your next attempt was filling up a mug with coffee, one that said “World’s Best Dad” on it, handing it to him in the morning along with his breakfast. Either he was still half asleep, or he didn’t even bother to read the cup, because you got absolutely no reaction out of him.

Hikaru didn’t even make the connection when you just stuck a literal bun in your oven, he just looked at you in confusion.

“Why was this in our oven?”

“Oh I don’t know!” You fumed and stormed off, leaving him in the kitchen by himself. All he did was look at the roll, before taking a bite and following in your footsteps.

“Y/N?” he called out. “Where’d you go?”

He walked through the house, trying to figure out where you went to, when he heard noises coming from your shared washroom. 

Hikaru knocked on the door, and softly said, “Y/N? You in there?”

In response, you unlocked and opened the door, wiping your mouth with a damp facecloth as you faced your husband.

Hikaru rushed to your side, cupping your face in his hands.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Are you sick?”

The questions flew out of his mouth without hesitation, until you covered it with your own hand.

“I’m fine.” you said to him. “Just a little bit of sickness.”

His brow furrowed in worry.

“What? When did you get sick, Y/N?”

You paused and smiled a little. This was the perfect time to let him know that he was going to be a father.

“I got sick about 8 weeks ago.” 

“That long?!” The shock on Hikaru’s face was hilarious to you, and you worked hard to keep your laughter in.

“Yes, and I’m going to be ‘sick’ for about 30 more weeks, or 7 and a half months.”

“Oh my god Y/N, how do you know this? Is it deadly? Am I gonna lose you?” 

Tears welled up in Hikaru’s eyes, as of course he’d think the worst before the best. You decided now was the time to come clean, if only to put your partner’s mind at ease.

“No, you goof.” you said with a small smile, pulling his hands into yours. “You’re not losing me, in fact, our family is getting bigger.”

You could see his brain working, trying to process this information, until finally, it clicked.

“Wait, are you serious?!”

Hello! You’re being absolutely no bother! I’m not sure when we will be opening match ups again, but I know we’d sure like to sometime, possibly after we’ve caught up with previous requests!

Honey is a tough character to write, in my opinion, as he is the oldest of the group which you want to try to show but yet he acts so young. If you’re looking to show him as more than a kid, write him with having more understanding about bigger things in life, because in both the manga and anime, he has his serious moments, and is able to see the bigger picture of things in life.Don’t be afraid to write him as a mature character, because even though he’s childish in personality, he is wise as well, in his words and actions I’m honestly not sure if this helps any, but I hope it does! It’s been a while since I wrote Honey but that’s my take on him!

When you tell Tamaki you’re not a big fan of Christmas in general, he goes into shock. Like, full on total shock.

“But Y/N! How could you hate Christmas?” He whines at you as you two sit in the chaise in the empty Music Room #3,. Tamaki was waiting for the other Hosts to arrive for a quick meeting before the club opens.

You shrug, as you lift your head from off his shoulder.“I never said I hated it Tamaki. I’m just not a big fan of it, that’s all.”

“But what about all of the Christmas carols and jumpers?”

“Jumpers are tacky, and carols are annoying.” “Decorating the tree is so fun though!”

“Too much effort, especially when the tree has to be put down again by January…and it just takes up space in the attic for the rest of the year.”

“Christmas dinner and presents?”

“…I will admit the food is nice, and getting presents is great, but trying to find the perfect gift for everyone is so annoying.”

“But that’s the whole point of Christmas” Tamaki pouted, shooting you his famous puppy dog eyes. He then got to his feet, with a look of determination on his face. “You know what? I’m going to prove you wrong, Y/N! I’m going to show you just how fun Christmas is.”

“I’d like to see you try~”

And sure enough, Tamaki tries his hardest. He wears corny Christmas jumpers, sings carols loudly at the top of his voice. decorates his Christmas tree with you, and he even does a bit of Christmas baking with you. You have to admit, you kind of liked gingerbread.

But he doesn’t win you over until he takes you to see the switching on of the town lights(“A treasured commoner tradition”) that you felt your anti-Christmas stance melt away slightly. Seeing the town so brightly lit up and looking pretty in these cold winter months…it warmed your heart a little.

But what warmed your heart even more was seeing the excited expression of your boyfriend as he looked around him. “What do you think, Y/N? Do you believe in the magic of Christmas now?”

You leant in and pecked Tamaki’s lips sweetly. “Yeah…just a little bit. Merry Christmas, I guess.”

Firstly, thank you for stopping by our blog!:)  Yeah, one of our admins is called Liv, that’s cool that you two share the same name. And I’m the Irish admin! I’m so glad you love my country, I love it too:3  I think I’ve heard of that school you were at, even though I don’t live in Wicklow XD  I can’t Irish dance to save my life either, but then again I can’t dance in general.
