Hey guys, I just a wanted to come on here and talk about something I've been noticing lately concerning my fics.
I have recently been getting comments from readers offering "constructive criticism" and "advice" on my works. These fics that I write are not published books or pieces that I am making any money off of. I spend a lot of time writing these fics, and I really enjoy doing so, but it is disheartening to see these comments.
I write these for myself first and foremost, and I post them because there may be people out there that also might enjoy that. I don't cater my work to those people though. I write for fun, not to be the best at it, and if I wished for any sort of constructive criticism I would ask. For now though, I write as a hobby and am not looking for any of those types of comments.
Grammar mistakes are one thing, but telling me how certain timelines and story beats should be paced are another. Please respect these boundaries, as I will remove comments as needed.
Sorry to be such a downer, but it has been weighing on me for quite some time. I appreciate and love you all, stay tuned for the next update soon!

Updates will be coming soon, though I can't give an exact time-frame of when the next chapter will be posted. My health took a rough turn in the last few months and my priority has been on other things than finishing this fic unfortunately. Due to some pretty terrible exhaustion problems I can only write in very small snippets, which has massively impacted my usual schedule.
I'm not abandoning this fic as I still have so much love for this world, but it may be longer than expected.

In the love of a killer, what was the reason Scar targeted people who looked like Grian? When someone cares about another person, they wouldn’t attack anyone who looks like them, they would be hesitant. But Scar managed to kill his victims in cold blood without remorse, even if they resembled Grian. I know Scar’s version of “ care” is different and messed up, but i thought someone resembling Grian would at least make him hesitant to kill them. Instead, he was more excited. Is it because he wanted Grian to be more involved in the case, or center the case around Grian in a way from the second last chapter? Or is it because he was excited to make Grian more scared when he came across the body?
Sorry for the long ask lol. I just kinda wanna get to know Scar’s character more since he’s so complicated. Or maybe its just that my reading comprehension isn’t that good and that the answer is already in the fic. Regardless, i wanna say thank you for writing something as beautiful as TLOAK. It’s one of my favourite Scarian fics, and im pretty obsessed with it :D
Thank you for the ask!! There’s a lot of really hidden details that I have been dying to talk about in this regard. Humanizing Scar and also vilifying him was a fine line to walk and I tried my best to accomplish it.
