i’m gonna be so real with you i bullshit everything lol

i did study human figure seriously when i was trying to go to art school…… 10+ years ago… but then i realized that was a pipe dream, so now i just throw spaghetti at a wall until it sticks. do as i say not as i do etc etc etc

what i did back then that carries me now is gesture drawings. so so so so SO many of them. i’m not concerned with details so much as proportions and movement, which generally gets the message across even if things look wonky. but i’ve trained myself out of perfectionism when drawing so YMMV if your priority is being like super technically solid. neither is better or worse, it’s just about what matters to you.
