June 2025 Update.

Oswald and Barcom Studio operated as Gallery 25B over the last year. Nina Radonja put lots of energy into 25B Barcom Avenue. She hosted some great shows and fabulous opening nights. Nina is working on a different project now, so the space will revert back to Oswald Barcom gallery & studio. Oswald & Barcom was established at this location in 2014

There is a bit of renovating going on, including the installation of new galley lighting so the space should be ready sometime July 2025.

Times they are a changing. Our studio North features a full kitchen is being converted to a Portraits, Food & Products Photography studio, It also function as a meeting, gallery & lecture room. Studio South is undergoing renovations so is no longer available for day hire.

The good news is we are reducing our hire rates. So you can continue to enjoy an inner city studio space with self access at a lower rate. Photos & more details soon.  Current rates $400 per day ex gst.  Longer  Hires Negotiable.

Rate Card May 2023 - Excluding GST

Our studio North features a full kitchen and works for Portraits, Food & Products Photography. It also functions as a meeting, gallery & lecture room. Studio South is no longer available for day hire but the good news is we have cut the hire rates on our low cost inner city studio space with self access.

Studio Hire:        Ex GST

Minimum 2hrs   $100 per hour

Half Day            $300 per half day

Full Day Hire     $400  per full day

Overtime on Half & Full Days  $80 - $50 p/hr 

*Conditions: The hirer may be required to open and lock up after use. Full Terms and Conditions will be emailed with the hire agreement before booking. Rates are negotiable for longer rentals. Basic lighting & equipment kit included with all rentals. Off street parking available at $25 per day. WiFi: 500MB use included. Set painting – starts at $50. Paper Backgrounds $25 per roll non-destructive hire plus $25 plm use. Larger groups and events – may incur a studio cleaning fee. Prices are ex GST.  Our usual hours M-F 7am-7pm Sat 8-6PM – contact us if you require other times.

It only seems like yesterday when I decided to redesign the Crossfire Photography working studio into a multipurpose hire studio. I am not big on marketing … actually, I still have the flyers in the office from 5 years ago - so it is the regulars and word of mouth that has kept Oswald & Barcom alive. This year has been the busiest so far with more & more repeat bookings - so perhaps we are doing something right?

Recently the studio has been used for a lot of small video shoots, v blogs, and video presentations. We have started to introduce new equipment to make it easy to walk in and get to work. Some Video Equipment Included:
