finally,  it turned the rest  of the way around, and loomed over the deceased girl. it stood a whole five  or six feet taller than her,  even when  its back was arched slightly to fit into the hallway.

the entity was silent for only another moment before it broke the spell. it mused in a smooth, low  voice  that  didn’t  seem  to  echo  off  the walls like hers. as if, it wasn’t real.

it froze, not really tolerating the touch, but not  pulling away  either. once it was  over, the creature tugged its tie away from cecil, and said in a low, vaguely irritated tone:
