A chill runs up your spine, forcing you to leave the comfort of your bed. You let out a hiss the second your bare feet meet the icy wooden floor of your bedroom. It has been so cold lately, to the point where you had to swap your usual blankets out for the thicker, warmer ones you keep stashed away. Trying to be as quick as possible so you can return to the warmth of your bed, you run out to the hallway and tap the buttons on the thermostat to crank up the heat.Â
You still couldnât believe how drastic the weather changed the second it had turned December. Goodbye to the crunchy leaves and chilly breeze, hello freezing temps and falling snow.
And today was the worst day yet. Technically, it started last night. Snow started to fall around 8pm and showed no signs of stopping. Then the temperatures dropped drastically overnight. The roads were nothing but a sheet of ice by the time the sun started to shine. You were surprised to wake up to the text that the college decided to cancel all classes for today, giving you a three-day weekend.Â
So today you would be lazy.
Walking back into your room, you spot the hoodie Choso left behind during his last visit. You slip that over your pjs and jump back in bed, not caring that it was already noon, pulling all the blankets over your head in a cocoon. The scent of his cologne just barely remained on the fabric.
After his birthday, you haven't seen him much outside of games and the class you both share. He has been so busy, and the days he wasnât, you were. You were thankful the two of you were so ahead on your project since there hadnât been a chance for you both to work on it together. Even though you still attended the games, the end of semester papers captured most of your free time, meaning you had to sacrifice going to the after parties with him and your friends.
Sober Choso wasnât much for PDA. Offering you nothing more than a peck to your cheek before departing from class or a warm hug when you see him after the games. Sometimes, he would reach out for your hand during class and hold it under the desk. The nightly phone calls were not enough. You wanted his lips on your again, his hands on your skin.
You were really starting to miss him.
Your eyelids flutter closed, drifting back to sleep. He even haunted you in your dreams. Pushing you down to the bed, looking at you with lust-filled eyes as he tears off his clothes. His hands travel up your bare thigh as he spreads your legs wide, your body trembling under his warm touch. His cock was huge, the tip nudging against your entrance. Teasing you, he wanted you to beg for it.Â
He thrusts forward, but before you can feel the sensation of his cock stretching you, you are rudely awoken by the constant vibrations of your phone.Â
You sit straight up in a panic, the blankets falling around you. Your whole body felt hot as you panted, struggling to come back to reality after that.Â
You grab your phone to see who so rudely decided to wake you up from the best dream of your life, but the caller ID only made your heart stutter.
[ incoming call from Cho]
You swipe across the screen to answer immediately.Â
âHey, whatâs up?â Your voice was slightly hoarse with sleep.
âOh sorry, were you napping sleepyhead?â The sound of his laugh warmed you, body and soul.
âYeahâŚI was. But Iâm up now. What are you up to?â
âWellâŚclasses were canceled, as you know. And so was the teamâs practice and tonight's game. SoooâŚIâm on my way to pick you up.â
âRight now?!â You jump out of the bed, frantically looking around the bedroom.
âYeah, figured itâs finally time for us to go on that date. Can you be ready in twenty?â
âWhere are we going?â You're already rushing around the room and rummaging through your closet.
âItâs a surprise. You'll find out when we get there.â
âOkayâŚbut what do I wear Cho? Like, there is a drastic difference between a movie date outfit and a restaurant date.â There is a pause on the other side as he thinks, not wanting to spoil the surprise just yet.
âYou look good in everythingâŚbut something comfortable, and warm too. See you soon.â He hangs up before you can ask any more follow-up questions.
You scan through your clothing, trying to find something appropriate for this mystery date. You still have no clue where you were going, what you could be doing, but he clearly had the whole thing planned.Â
You did your hair and makeup as quickly as you could. Pulling on a sweater and layering a fuzzy coat over top. Luckily, you were ready by the time you heard his fists knocking against the door. Before leaving the room, you spritzed some of that honey perfume you know he loves so much.
âHey,â you pull the door open to see him smiling on the other side. His hair pulled up in two spiky pigtails, a white jacket overtop his black long sleeve shirt, dark jeans and a purple scarf draped around his neck.
âHey gorgeous,â he leans down to press a light peck to your check before offering his hand. âReady to go?âÂ
âYes,â you lace your fingers with his as he leads you out to the parking lot of your dorm. Opening the door for his car and ushering you inside. You settle into the passenger seat and strap the seat belt over your chest.
âSooâŚwhen are you going to tell me where you're taking me?â You don't hold back, blurting the question out the second he slips into his seat. Not knowing is eating you alive.
âYou'll have to wait until we get there.â He chuckles as he turns the key in the ignition. Before he backs out of the space, he turns to look at you, his pigtails flopping as he cocks his head. âDo you trust me?âÂ
âOf course I do.â
âGood, then be a good girl for me and keep your eyes shut 'til we get there.â
âUmâŚwhat?â You're not sure what surprised you more, the request to close your eyes for the entire drive or the way he called you good girl.
âYou heard me,â he raises an eyebrow. He was 100% serious. âIt's not a far drive.âÂ
âFineâŚit better be worth it,â the last sight you see was a flash of his cocky smile.
âIt will be, I promise.â
He wasn't lying about the drive; it felt less than 5 minutes in total. Which only made more questions bounce around in your head. You don't even think you left campus. What could be so close yet also date worthy?
The second the car is parked, he's cutting off the engine and scrambling around to the other side to open your door. A blast of freezing air hits your face, and you fight the urge to open your eyes.
âKeep them closed, but take my hand,â he explains as he unbuckles you then laces his fingers with yours to gently pull you up. The parking lot is icy, and you lose your balance slightly. Before you can fall and hurt yourself, Choso wraps his arm around your waist, tugging you into him tightly. âEasy there, can't have you getting hurt before the fun even begins.â
âWell, maybe if I could seeââ he cuts you off with a deep kiss. You've missed the taste of him, the way his lips fit perfectly against yours. He pushes you slightly against the side of his car, continuing to kiss you.
âKeep. Them. Closed.â He punctuates each whispered word with a tender peck before pulling away, letting you lean against the car while you catch your breath. You do as he says, listening to him as he grabs something out of the back seat before taking your hand once again.
âFollow me,â he leads you away from the car, holding onto you tightly and leading you toward the mysterious location. âAlmost there,â he pulls open a door and then walks you inside the building.Â
âOpen your eyes!â He says the second the door closes behind you, excitement dripping in his tone.
Blinking a few times to adjust to the bright overhead lights, you recognize this place immediately. Hockey awards and team photographs line the walls around the closed concession stands. Two double doors pulled wide open that led into the stands of the ice rink. You have been to Kaisen Universityâs arena countless times but seeing it during the day and while no one is here felt odd.Â
âTa-da!â Choso is beaming at you, utterly happy with his surprise. Yet you only feel more confused than anything. Why here? You werenât sure what you had expected, but this certainly wasn't any of the options you thought up.
âUmâŚwhat are we doing here? Did you forget something?â You note the small gym bag over his shoulder, likely the item he picked up from his back seat before heading in. Neither of you had talked about what kind of dates you like, so maybe he brought you here to give you a history lesson on the sport? To show off all the awards his team has earned? You chew the inside of your lip, ready to indulge the cute boy in whatever date he has planned. Even if it wasnât your idea of how to spend this day off. Noticing the confusion on your face, he places a hand to your back and leads you through the double doors and down the stairs that cut through the stands.
âNo, this is the date, silly.â He walks you to the spot where the players normally sit while not on the ice, then motions for you to take a seat on the bench. âWith no classes, no games and no practiceâŚthe school decided to open up the ice rink for students to come skate today!â He sets the bag on the bench next to you. Looking out, there are a handful of students skating around, no one who you recognize. Clearly, the school didn't advertise this much as it appears dead in here. At least there wonât be many witnesses when you inevitably fall.
Shit. When is it a good time to tell him you suck at skating?
âChosoâŚI donât own any ice skates,â you were trying not to panic, trying not to make a huge deal out of this. The last time you even attempted to skate was well over 10 years ago now. Your family lost track of how many times you fell, and the next morning, you were sore and covered in bruises. There was no way you would survive this date.Â
âNo worries, Iâm pretty sure you and Yuki wear the same sizeâŚso I just borrowed one of hers for today.â He unzips the bag and pulls out a pair of hockey skates, then he kneels on the ground in front of you. His fingers quickly unlace your boots, and he slides on the skates. Of course they were a perfect fit, damn him for being so prepared. âHow does that feel?â He asks after tying them tightly.
âIt feels fine. But Choso,â his head looks up at the sound of his name, still kneeling on the ground in front of you. âI donât know how to skate.â
âI can teach you,â He smiles, happy to help. When he notices how you remain tense, he places a hand on each of your knees and speaks softer. âDonât worry, I won't let you fall. Just stick with me, hold onto me. You'll be a pro in no time.â
âOkay, I trust you.â
With your acceptance, he rises off the ground and sits beside you to lace on his own pair of skates.
âSoâŚhow do I even start to skate? What should I do?âÂ
âWell, you're gonna push off with one foot and fwooshââ Choso pauses in tying his skates to give you a description using mostly wild hand gestures and exaggerated sound effects. You canât help but feel even more lost than you did 2 minutes ago.
âChoâŚyou're making no sense.â You can't help but break out in a laugh.
âIâm sorry! Itâs just hard to explain. Itâs muscle memory for me, but I can teach you better by showing you. You have to feel it for yourself.â He laughs back. He taps his heel on the ground twice before standing up and offering you a hand. He pulls you up and leads you toward the opening to the ice. Not once does he let go of you. He steps out backward and holds his other hand out for you to take.
âBe careful, there is a small step down. Donât trip,â He warns you.
With both your hands in his, you step out onto the slippery ice rink. Your legs wobble and your knees threaten to give in, making you look like a newborn baby deer. Before you can crumble to the ground in an ungraceful mess, he pulls you closer to him to steady you.
âEasy, I've got you.â He whispers calmly. âJust focus on standing, work on your balance.â After a few deep breaths, you manage to stand up straight. You probably could hold your balance on your own, but Choso keeps his grip on you. You look up into his eyes, yours shining with happiness and his with pride. âThere you go!âÂ
âI canât believe it! Iâm actually standing on the ice!â
âStep one done, we still have a lot to go though! Now itâs time to actually skate.â He grips both of your hands as he skates backwards, towing you around as he smiles. He was such a skilled skater, with a mental map of the rink, that he didnât even need to look where he was going. As he moves, you start to feel yourself fall backward but he pulls your arms to keep you upright.
âJust get used to the feelinâ of the ice under you, keep working on your balance.â
âYou're such a good skater Cho, who taught you?â
âYukiâs family actually,â he laughs bashfully. âWhen we first became friends in high school, we were looking for some club or sport we could do together after school. Her parents were both figure skaters, and after they retired from competing, they taught youth classes. My family couldnât afford to send me, but they did it all for free.â
âWow, that's really generous.â
âThey are very kind. They let my brothers and I come over a lot when our grandfather was working. Before his health declined, he would work two or three jobs to support all of us. But Yukiâs family would treat us as their own. Let us stay the night, helped with our homework, and even feed us dinner when money was tight.â
You notice a slight glimmer of unshed tears along his lower lash line as he thinks back on the past.
âBut her family taught me everything I knew about skating. Yuki was already a pro, she had been trained her whole life, but I definitely sucked at first. She was already this graceful figure skater, and I was just some awkward guy who kept falling on his ass.â He lets out a deep laugh. âBut I got better over time.â
âI canât even imagine you falling!â You laugh along with him. âYou seem like the best skater there is.â
âYou should have seen us at our first figure skating competition.â He smiles.
âWait what!? YouâŚfigure skating!?â
âYeahâŚthatâs why they were teaching me. Yuki wanted a partner. I was strong enough to lift her, and I was fast and able to keep up with her. But I was also a bit clumsy, so we didnât place.â
âI just canât imagine itâŚyou in the outfits they wear?â You burst out laughing at the mental picture of Choso wearing tight pants and some sort of colorful and sparkly top.
âShut up!â He laughs. âI bet there is a video of it somewhere, maybe if you are nice to me, Iâll show you some day.â
âPlease, I would love to see it.â You try to control your laughter, biting down on your lip to silence yourself. Itâs hard to think of him on the ice in any other way than the muscular wall of a goalie. âI feel like you're gaslighting me, there is no way you and Yuki were figure skaters.â
He stops pulling you and gives you a challenging look.
âHold onto the wall and watch.â Your hand grips the sidewall of the ice rink when he releases you.
You watch as he skates off toward the center of the mostly empty rink. Small little twirls and jumps to the beat of an imaginary song inside his head. For his finishing move, he began to spin in a tight circle with one foot held straight out in the air, squatting lower and lower while still maintaining his balance.
He never ceases to steal the breath from your lungs.
Finished showing off, he skates back to you at full speed. Looking again like the hockey player you are used to seeing. Before he reaches you, he turns the blades of his skates at a sharp angle to shave the ice and spray snow onto your pants.
âChoso!!â You scold him, watching him laugh as he crouches to brush the white from your clothing.
âSorryâŚcouldnât resist.â He lets out a hearty laugh. When he stands back up at your side, he takes one of your hands in his, keeping your free hand by the wall in case you felt like you were losing your balance. With a few hesitant glides from your feet, you were skating beside him.Â
âYou're such a show offâŚyou know that?â
âI know.â He doesnât even attempt to deny it.Â
âSo, how did you and Yuki go from figure skating to hockey?â
âWell, after all my lessons, I learned how much I loved the ice. So, I tried out for the high school hockey team and got picked instantly. I was better suited for that anyway. Yuki attempted to join too, but our high school team wouldnât allow girls to play. In the end, we didnât end up being able to play a sport together.â
âThat really sucks.â
âMhm, but we would still skate together on the weekends. She also ended up joining a roller derby team. It was funny at first, I was so used to seeing her as some dainty dancer out on the ice, you can imagine my surprise the first time I saw her slam into someone during roller derby.â
âHow did you both end up at Kaisen University then?â You loved to hear him talk, listening to him share parts of his past that you didnât know about yet.
âWell, Yuki graduated before me. A ton of schools wanted her actually, she is really smart. But she still had that dream of playing hockey. So, she asked them all who would allow a female player, and only KU agreed. Then I made it my goal to be accepted too. Several schools scouted me during my senior year, but I was only ever going to accept an offer from KU.â
âAnd now you two finally get to play together.â You smile over at him. You canât help but think how cute and special their friendship is, even if it makes you just a tiny bit jealous.
âYup, after all this time, we finally get to be on the same team.â He returns your smile, then drops your hand. You donât even notice, continuing to skate alongside him. âHey! Look at you! Skating all on your own!âÂ
You look down at your feet and then your hand to notice the absence of his. He was right! Here you were, skating beside him all by yourself.
âIâm really doing it!â You exclaim. You never could have imagined this, you had always thrown away the idea of skating after the many bad experiences you had growing up.
âYou're doing amazing,â he looks at you warmly. âI knew you could do it.â
The two of you continue to skate beside each other. Each passing minute, you gain more confidence, more balance, more speed. Choso continues to glance over at you, partially checking if your form needed to be corrected and partially admiring your beauty.Â
âYou look a little cold.â He stops himself, and you fall in line beside him. He rests the back of his hand on your cheek. âWhy didnât you tell me!â He pouts.
âI guess I didnât notice. Iâve just been having so much fun.â
Your answer doesnât soothe the worry in his stomach, with a frown, he unwraps the scarf from his neck, then drapes it around you. He makes sure to cover your chilly nose and cheeks, leaving a small kiss on your forehead as the finishing touch. Your face heats up at his kind gesture, making your body forget it was ever even cold.
âSooâŚwhat is the plan after this?â You ask as you push off with your skates, your voice slightly muffled under the new cloth layer.
âHmmâŚI was thinking we could grab a bite to eat? Iâm sure you'll be hungry after all this skating.â
âFood sounds good.â You agree. âWhere at?â
âI havenât thought that far ahead yet.â He admits with a laugh. âBut there is also a party tonight if you want to go? Even with the game canceled, Sukuna still wants to throw a rager.â
âSounds like a plan. Dinner and the party.âÂ
An idea pops in your head.Â
âAre you up for a bet?â You turn on your heel, bracing yourself on the side wall for support.
âAlways,â he stops to face you, an eyebrow raised at your proposal.Â
âLet's have a small race, the winner decides where to get food at? And the loser pays.âÂ
âYou know youâll lose right?â
You did, and you wanted to. Choso is always so thoughtful; he deserves to experience the same care and affection that he gives. You wanted to spoil him, let him feel the same way you do during this date.Â
âDeal, one lap around the rink. Ready?â He lines himself up next to you once you nod. âGo!â
You both take off, you are putting your full effort into it, but you can tell he is holding back. Keeping pace beside you, letting you almost get the lead. If he really tried, he would be halfway across the rink by now. He was trying to lose.
âChoso! You're cheating!â You scowl at him. âPlay fair or the deal is off.â
âFine,â he rolls his eyes. Taking off across the rink at the speed you're used to seeing him use.
You push yourself a little harder, muscles straining in your legs as you attempt to gain more speed. You knew there was no winning, but it was fun to try. You watch as Choso rounds the corner ahead of you, throwing a cocky smirk your way. It wouldnât be long until he ended up passing you.
You begin to feel your balance give out; your body not used to the speed you're now skating at. You attempt to reach for the wall to steady yourself, but you had strayed too far from its safety, just barely out of grasp. In a moment of panic, you stumble over your own feet. You crash into the hard ice below, falling flat on your face.
For a moment, you lay there, face down. Accepting your defeat. Everything was starting to hurt.
âShit!â You hear Choso cuss, the sharp skirting of his skates as he races over, dropping to his knees in front of you. âHey! What happened?â
âTripped.â You grunt out, your shaky arms pushing yourself off the cold ice. His strong hands grasp you by your shoulders and help you to your knees. You kept your eyes closed tightly, feeling the throbbing pain radiate through you, paired with a warmth on your face.
âThat was such a bad idea, I should never have agreed to that.â He scolds himself, his hands brushing the hair from your face as he inspects you for injuries. When you open your eyes, youâre met with his concerned and remorseful stare.
âDonât blame yourself, I should have known betterâŚguess I got too cocky.â You try to laugh, but the sharp pain in your nose stops you. Choso watches as you flinch, his fingers gently moving the purple scarf away from your face. His golden brown eyes widened in fear.
âFuck! Your nose!â He gasps. You reach a finger up, gently testing the skin. The small touch caused you to hiss and recoil in pain. Looking down, you notice the steady drip of crimson blood falling to the bright white ice below. âI think itâs broken.â
You hardly remember what happened after. Everything felt like a blur, just bits and pieces sticking out in your memory.Â
Choso was frantic, fussing over you like you were his own child as he continued to blame himself. It didn't matter how many times you claimed it was your own stupidity that caused this; nothing would calm him down. With a wad of napkins pressed to the bloody faucet of your nose, he somehow had managed to get you back to the bench, your normal shoes back on and to his car.
Instead of taking you home, he drove you both straight to the nearest urgent care. It was like you blinked, and there you were, sitting in an uncomfortable chair beside him in an overly crowded waiting room. A migraine pierced your brain with tiny blades, the skin surrounding your nose felt tight, hot and pulsating.Â
Choso's leg was bouncing up and down, shaking the small end table that displayed magazines and other health related literature beside him. A clipboard was in his hands, helping you fill out the personal information and family history required before you could be seen.Â
You lean your head on his shoulder, feeling utterly exhausted after the events of today. There was nothing that you wanted more than to just close your eyes and forget, hopefully when you opened them again, the nightmare would be over.
Just a few minutes of shut eye couldn't hurt. You surrender to the battle you were already losing, letting your eyes drift closed.
âHeyâŚno falling asleep on me.â Choso wiggles his shoulder, nudging you gently to get your attention. You grumble, eyes flashing open but refuse to move away from your hockey player shaped pillow.Â
âWasn't sleeping, just closing my eyes,â you protest.
âI know you're tired, I know you're in pain. And I am so sorry.â He sucks in a shaky breath. âBut you hit your head pretty hard, and I'm a bit worried you may have a concussion. Just stay awake for me.âÂ
While you would love nothing more than to sleep right now, the genuine worry in his voice shakes you to the core. All he ever wanted was to have a fun and romantic date with you, and here you are, injured as an aftereffect. Part of you can tell he regrets bringing you at all, upset with himself for how this ended up.Â
Straightening up in the chair, you place a hand on his bouncing knee until he stills.
âI will be ok ChosoâŚplease don't worry.âÂ
âDon't worry!? All I can do is worry!â He hisses under his breath as he turns to face you better. âThis is seriously all my fault. If I had just taken you out to dinner, like a normal date, we would never be sitting here!â His intense gaze burns into you.
âBut I'll be okay!â You attempt to assure him. It was just an injury, not a terminal illness after all. You will survive. You rub your palm back and forth over his knee. âI still had fun, and the broken nose just makes our first date all the more memorable. Trust me, we will both be laughing about this in the future.â Fighting through the pain, you force a smile across your lips.
He lets out a big sigh, placing his hand over yours and giving it a small squeeze.
âThat's for sure, I will never forget this day as long as I live.â His tense body language relaxed slightly.
The door that separates the waiting area from the examination room swings open, a tired woman in purple scrubs stands in the doorway as she looks down at the thin blue file and calls out your name.
âSee you soon,â you promise Choso as you stand up from the seat, giving his hand one last squeeze before you walk up to greet the nurse.
You were lucky. There wasn't a break, and you were concussion free. Just a whole lot of pain and swelling of your nose and the area surrounding it. The doctor sent you home with strict orders to rest, ice and take pain relievers. And to come straight back if anything got worse.
The ride back to the dorm was unusually quiet, even the radio was off, filling the car with a suffocating silence. Neither of you attempted to break it. There was so much you wanted to say to him, but exhaustion was creeping in. At least he was a little less stressed with the doctor's confirmation that you were not severely injured.
Choso helped you up the stairs and inside your dorm. Both your roommates were gone when you entered. Utahime took today's cancellations as the perfect opportunity to show up at Satoruâs place unannounced and force him to work on their end of semester project together. Shoko wouldn't be back until later, even with the campus closed, she still had to attend her clinicals at the hospital.
With one hand wrapped around your waist, he led you over to the couch. You plopped down on the center cushion, your head sinking against the back as you stare up at the ceiling. Choso grabs a nearby pillow and beckons you forward with a curl of his finger. You lift your head up and he positions it behind you. When you lie back, you let out a content sigh.
âComfy?â He asks, speaking again for the first time since leaving the clinic.Â
âMhm, thank you,â you pop one eye open and notice him slipping off his white jacket. Dried red blood sticks out on the shoulder you had rested your head on earlier. You frown. âCho, your jacket.â
He holds it up and inspects the stain.
âDon't worry about it, it's just clothing.â He walks into the kitchen and drapes it over the back of a chair. You make a mental note to buy him a new one. When he returns, he hands you an ice pack from your freezer, a few pills and a glass of water.
You eagerly swallow the pills, hoping they kick in fast and chase the pain away. Then you press the ice pack to your throbbing flesh, cold against hot skin, making you flinch on contact. Choso kneels in front of you, his fingers unlacing your boots and slipping them off your tired feet.
âSorry, I guess I ruined our date.â You frown down at him. âAnd now you'll have to go to Sukuna's party all alone.â
âNot happening. I'm gonna stay right here by your side all night and take care of you.â He rests his cheek on your inner thigh, his other hand rubbing up and down the length of your opposite leg.
âYou don't have to,â you assure him as your fingernails sweep his messy bangs out of his face.
âBut I want to. I want to be here with you.â he looks up at you with pleading eyes.
âI want you here too,â you adjust the ice pack on your face. With both Shoko and Utahime gone, you really didn't want to be alone right now. Part of you was hoping he would insist on staying. âStay as long as you want.â
âThen I'll stay the night,â he proclaims. His nose nuzzling along the fabric at your thigh. âI wish I could kiss your pain away,â he whispers onto your leg.
âThen come kiss me,â you challenge, leaning up from the couch. He clicks his tongue and places a firm palm to your stomach, pushing you to lie back once again.
âWe can't risk hurting that pretty nose of yours anymore, but I think I have another idea to help you feel better.â he slides his palm down to the waistband of your pants, his fingertips sliding underneath to tease your bare skin.
His eyes, such hungry eyes, look up at you with the intent to devour. Waiting for your permission to continue.Â
âYes, please.â You barely choke out as your heart feels like it might stop. He grins, his strong hands tugging at your pants, you lift your hips to help, and he tosses them aside.
His pupils dilate when he finally sees you, sees the bright red thong that covers your cunt.
âOh fuck,â he moans at the sight. His lips kiss along your inner thigh, working in a path to where you ache for him. Yet he takes his sweet time, drawing it out as he savors the sweetness of your skin. Shivers of anticipation run down your spine the closer he gets and the longer he takes.
His hands slip underneath the thin band of your thong, his palms gripping both hips and pulling you closer toward him. He is so close to you now, his lips mere centimeters from your needy pussy, separated only by the warm fabric of your panties. His breath caresses you even through the barrier of cloth.
He can't hold back any longer, needing the first taste now. His mouth latches onto your clothed cunt, his tongue flat as he laps over the wet spot in the center with broad strokes. A deep hum vibrates from his chest, his own eyes closing in bliss. You shudder as the tip of his nose brushes ever so lightly against your clit and you can't help but attempt to press your hips further into his face.
âNeed more,â Choso looks up with a near feral look in his eyes, his hands quickly removing the thong. Without warning, he's back on you, his tongue pushing way inside your velvety walls, swirling around to taste every bit. The sudden attack has you crying out, your eyes rolling back in your head.
âChosoâŚâ you gasp, trying (and failing) to keep your tone even, but it's a struggle with how great he makes you feel.
âMmmâŚthat's right.â He pauses momentarily, lifting your legs up to rest on his shoulder. âDon't hold back, I want to know how good I make you feel.â He turns his head to nip a sensitive part of your inner thigh, causing you to shriek.Â
His lips turn their attention to your clit now. Leaving the tiniest, lightest little kisses. He was teasing you, smirking to no one but himself as he watched you tremble and try to grind yourself against his face, desperately seeking attention.
âPlease.â You whine, your knuckles turning white as you grip the couch cushions.
At your command, he sucked on your clit, hard. There was no more holding back your moans, shamelessly crying out as you rocked against him. It felt electric, your head swimming in a sea of blinding ecstasy. Choso moans against you, sending deep vibrations to your swollen clit.
âThat's my perfect girl,â he hums, his tongue delving back inside your warmth as his calloused thumb presses circles on your sensitive bud.
Each lick, each touch, each of his delicious moans brought you closer and closer to the edge. Your hands flew to his pigtails, holding them like two handlebars, as you attempted to gain some control. Guiding his face as you continued to roll your hips along his tongue.Â
âUse me all you want, angel. Iâm yours.â He groans out when he pauses to catch his breath. Your fists tighten around his hair, pulling him back as he lets out a small, needy whine of his own. His thumb worked harder, his tongue a flurry of sloppy strokes as your body jerked in response.
Your orgasm hit you like a fucking train. There was no way to control the loud screams as he forced you over the edge. He worked you through it, a little gentler now, but his mouth didn't leave contact. Even as your thighs tightened around his head, he didn't back away. He didn't want to pull away. When your cries stopped, he continued to lap up every drop of your essence.Â
âChoâs'too much!â You tug him back but his hair roughly, forcing his lips to release your cunt.Â
âSorry, you taste too goodâŚI want more.â His eyes were pleading, desperate for a second course. His whole lower face glistened with the aftermath of your release, yet he made no effort to wipe it away. The tip of his pink tongue darted out to lick the taste of you that still lingered on his lips.
âTold you you were a messy eater,â you let out a small laugh at the sight. You settle back into the couch, spreading your legs back open and prepare for round two.

You had never seen so many players in the penalty box. Suguru sat beside Choso, a palm pressed to the goalies back as Chosoâs head hangs between his hands. Sukuna, Hiromi, Yuki, Kento, Yu and a few others you don't recognize; all of them smashed inside the box together.
All hell had broken loose the second Choso skated off the ice. The team had his back, immediately taking their rage out on the other team for Tojiâs aggression. Screw hockey, this was more like fight club.
Moral of the story... never fuck with a goalie.
The Assassins were now leading by two points, the Curses struggling as many of their best players were off the ice. You recognize some of them as freshmen, struggling to fill the shoes of their upperclassmen. They were trying their best, but they just werenât as experienced.
Haruta had the puck, skating toward the opposing team's goal when it was stolen right from underneath his nose. The opposing player passes the puck to another teammate, who shoots it easily into the Curse's goal. If Choso was out there, he could have stopped it easily, but instead it was Mahito, who still has a lot to learn.
They were fucked.
The last few minutes dragged by painfully. For the first time this season, your team has lost. The defeated players make their way back to the locker room. You spot Choso, lagging slightly behind, Yuki at his side patting his back as they disappear from view.
âWoahâŚthat sure was something,â Satoru comments as he kicks back in the chair, resting his feet on the empty seat in front of him. âSeriously, who knew Kamo could fight like that?âÂ
âHe always couldâ Eso chimes in. âThough he is usually pretty laid back, he will snap if you say the wrong thing.â
That only makes you wonder what your ex could have said to piss him off so bad. There was no way it was just the usual hockey trash talk, he hit a nerve. Something personal.
âHe once got suspended in high school for fighting.â Eso continues. âYuki had a crush on some older guy, asked him out, and got turned down right away. Him and his friends then spread hateful rumors around the school about her, destroying her image and confidence. Choso couldnât stand to see his friend so upset, so he took him and all his friends onâŚand won.â
âYuki!?â Shoko chimes in, now fully paying attention at the sound of her friendâs name. âLike our Yuki? Yuki Tsukumo?â
âYes, they went to high school together. You didnât know that?â Eso cocks his head to the side, his brows knitting together in confusion. To him, it seemed like such obvious information. It surprised him that none of you knew. You and your friends all shake your head no. âEven though she was a grade above, they were best friends. Possibly Chosoâs only friend that wasnât us.âÂ
You had no idea that Yuki and Choso had so much history. He never mentioned it before. But as you think back on it, it made sense. At the after parties, the two always seemed to be near each other, teasing each other and laughing. Sometimes during stretches, you noticed them goofing off, racing around the rink, and smacking each other with their sticks. You never thought anything of it before.Â
You want to ask more, learn more about his past and this friendship you never knew about.
âHey Eso,â Kechizu taps his brotherâs shoulder to get his attention. âItâs getting late.â Yuji was asleep on your lap. His eyes could barely stay open the last few minutes of the game, eventually lolling his head to the side until it rested against your shoulder.Â
âYou're right, we have a long drive too.â The two of them stand from their seats. âCome on Yuji, itâs time to go.â His hand gently shakes his sleeping brother.Â
âDonât wanna!â Yuji grumbles, turning to cling tighter to you. You let out a slight laugh and hug him close.
âYou need to go to Yuji, but Iâll come see you again soon. Iâll have Choso take me to your tee-ball games when they start. How does that sound?â He peers up at you with round eyes, still glossy from sleep.
âYou promise?â
âI promise,â You assure him, locking your pinky with his. This seems to comfort him enough to leave. One last hug and he hops down to join his older brothers.
âIt was nice meeting you, we are going to say bye to Choso and head back.â Eso wraps you in a hug of his own, leaning in to whisper in your ear. âTake care of Choso for us, I know he can be a handful sometimes.â A deep rumble of laughter from his throat, reminding you so much of his older brother.Â
âI will,â you murmur back. He pulls away and scoops Yuji into his arms before he could start to complain how tired his legs were. âDrive safe! It was nice meeting you!â You call to the three of them as they leave toward the locker room.Â
Your friends decide to wait until the arena clears out more before attempting to leave, not wanting to deal with the crowds as everyone rushes out. Leaning back in your chair, you listen to their conversations, Satoru and Utahime constantly bickering as Shoko eggs them both on for her own amusement. You only half pay attention, your mind wandering over the events of tonight.Â
You have to admit, Choso looked good while fighting. All sweaty and bloody, it did things to you. Made your heart skip a beat while a fire was lit in your core. But the fact that your ex was the whole reason for the fight made you feel uneasy. Just a bad feeling about whatever Toji might have said to him.
âRightâŚready to go?â Satoruâs voice interrupted your thoughts. âReady to return to Sukunaâs Domain.â He mocks the name, offering you a hand. You grab it and he hoists you up from the chair.
âReady as Iâll ever be.â You stretch your limbs, sore from sitting for so long.
The sky was dark, the last fleeting traces of the sun fading on the horizon, stars waiting for their turn to shine. Though being in the city, you never could get a great view of the stars. That is something you miss about home. Some nights, you and your family would just lie outside and look up at the glittering sky, your dad pointing out all the constellations and explaining the myths surrounding them, which you memorized over time. Â
Satoru leads your group over to where Suguru is, his back leaning against the metal railing while talking to Kento and Yu. The three of them look up when they hear footsteps, Suguruâs bright smile on his face at the sight of his boyfriend.
A loud sound from the side makes you jump. You spin your head in the direction to see Choso, he dropped his oversized equipment bag on the pavement before plopping down on a bench away from the large forming group. He hangs his head over his lap, palms on his temples as his fingers grip the wet hair of his bangs.
âI'll catch up with you later.â You turn to Shoko, who gives you a concerned look.Â
âWe will be leaving soon y'know, I don't want to leave you here alone.â You can hear the guilt in her voice from the last few times you have been abandoned.Â
âI wonât be alone.â You point at Choso with your thumb over your shoulder. Shoko gives you a sly look. âIâll meet up with you at the party, I promise.â
âFine, but call me immediately if something goes wrong.â She pulls you into a tight hug while adding. âIf he doesn't return you in one piece, I will retrieve my medical tools from the lab and perform an emergency castration.âÂ
âShoko!!â
She releases you from her grip, shrugging and sticking her tongue out at you. Rolling your eyes, you walk toward Chosoâs direction.
He doesnât look up as you approach, the grip on his hair tightening. You sit down next to him, your side pressed against his. He smells good, the blood scrubbed clean during his post-game shower.
âHey,â he murmurs somberly, he doesnât need to look up to know itâs you.
âHey.â You echo. âDonât rip your pretty hair out.â He instantly drops his hands at your words, fingers gripping his kneecaps. His knuckles were red and irritated, a testament to the harsh beating Toji received. Yet he still doesnât look over at you.Â
âI fucked upâŚâ He sighs. âItâs all my fault. I lost us this game. If only I didn'tââ He lets out a loud groan. âIf i would have just kept my cool out there.â
âIt was one game, Choso. No one is mad at youââ
âIt's still my fault!â He cuts you off, sinking deeper into the bench so his head leans back against the wooden back, staring straight up at the dark sky. âIf I wasnât sent off the ice, we would still be undefeated right now. If I just would haveâŚugh!â
âYou canât just blame yourself, I saw how Suguru, Sukuna and the others defended you. All those guys had your back, they all made the decision to attack and get sent to the box with you. They could have remained on the ice instead of forcing all the newbies out at once. They could have chosen to focus on the game, but they didn't. Losing was a team effort.â
âGuess you're right.â He snorts, finally rolling his head to face you. The streetlamps illuminate his face, making the blooming bruise under his left eye even more obvious. Part of you wishes you could see the damage left behind on Toji. âI just feel awful that I snapped when my brothers were here, when Yuji was watching. Iâm supposed to be his role model. I didnât want him to witness me fighting like thatâŚbut I just couldnât control it. I couldnât stop myself.â
âWhat did he even say to you?â
Choso was quiet for a moment, chewing his bottom lip as he debated whether to tell you or not.
âSomething that made my blood boil.â He answers firmly, offering no further elaboration. You want to pry for more details, but you have a feeling it isnât the time, so you drop the issue for now.Â
âI covered Yujiâs eyes if that makes you feel any better.â His eyes widen at you. âDidnât want to have him watch his brother get his ass beat.â You jab, knowing full well you never doubted Chosoâs ability to win. Though the teasing comment seemed to have no effect on him.
âYou're seriously the best,â he whispers, one of his hands gripping your waist as he pulls you closer, his other hand positions your legs to drape across his thick thigh before resting on top of your knee, his thumb rubbing small circles over the fabric of your jeans. A shiver runs through you when his cold nose meets your neck, hiding his face in your skin.Â
âHow do you feel?â You ask.
âSoreâ His breath is so warm, so close.
You reach for the hand on your leg, gently lifting it up close to your lips. You press feather-light kisses to the raw skin of his fist, causing his breath to hitch.
âIâm sorry, does that hurt?â You pause, worried you were making everything worse. His nose slowly drags across your neck as he shakes his head no. Smiling to yourself, you go back to kissing his injured skin. âYou looked really hot today, especially watching you beat my ex.âÂ
âShut up!â He laughs while freeing his hand from your grip just to wrap them both around your waist, pulling you even closer, holding on tight like he was afraid to let go. He rested his chin on your shoulder, cheek pressed against your neck.Â
If the November air wasnât so cold tonight, you could have stayed like this forever with him. A chill runs through you, shaking against his body.
âWe should get going.â With arms still around you, he slowly stands, forcing you up as well. âCome on, let's get out of here and forget this shit night.â He releases you momentarily so he can sling his hockey bag over one shoulder, his other hand laces with yours as he drags you off toward the parking lot.
âHappy Birthday!â A chorus of loud voices greet you both the second you set foot inside the house. Friends, teammates, random students. The house was packed full.
âThanks,â Choso mutters quietly, his face heating up under all the attention. He turns to face you again. âI'll be back. I need to take this up to my room.â He motions his head to the heavy bag weighing down on his shoulder.Â
âCome find me later.â You offer a small smile, which he returns. You understand he likely needs a moment alone. To decompress from the events of today before he has to force his social battery to work overtime. He nods, turning and making his way up the creaking stairs that lead to his bedroom.Â
Turning around, you scan the bodies in the room, attempting to locate your friends. First, you notice Sukuna, already drunk out of his mind as he tells an exaggerated retelling of a score he made in the past to two girls, twins by the look of it. They appear interested in what he is saying, or at least pretending to be.
âHey! You made it!â You turn your head in the direction of the voice, seeing a blur of her blonde hair for a split second before Yuki pulls you into a tight, suffocating hug.Â
âI told you I would,â you respond once she releases you, allowing you to breathe again.Â
âCome on, everyone else is in the kitchen right now.â She places a hand on your back as she ushers you through the crowd. Despite tonight's loss, everyone still seems to be in high spirits. The only one upset is Choso.
Your friends were waiting for you in the kitchen. Satoru was arguing with Utahime about something while Suguru just watched, giggling to himself as he sipped his drink. Shoko's eyes light up the moment you enter the tight space between the sticky tile countertops.
âHere ya go!â She hands you a red solo cup, holding her's out to cheers. You take the cup eagerly and clink the plastic brims together.Â
âJust a few drinks,â you say it more like a warning than a statement. âI do not want to end up like the last time I was here. Take it easy on me.â You sigh as you take your first sip, fruit juice and the sting of liquor coating your palate.
âOh, don't worry, I won't make you go overboard tonight.â Shoko smiles, looking mischievous but her words are genuine. She shuffles closer, whispering for just you to hear. âSoâŚdid he kiss you yet?â
âNo.â You try to hide your disappointment, but she picks up on it immediately.
âUgh, what is taking him so long? It is soo obvious you two like each other bad.âÂ
âThat obvious?âÂ
âTo anyone with eyes,â she leans back on the counter behind her as she sighs. âYou will get a kiss tonight, I can feel it.âÂ
âIf not by him, then by me.â Satoru invites himself into the conversation, puckering his lips jokingly. You just roll your eyes in response, a small giggle escaping you.
âOoo! What are we talking about!?â Yuki excitedly enters the conversation.Â
âNothing!â You quickly fire back, earning a suspicious look from the blonde, her eyes narrowed. You weren't sure how much of the conversation she overheard.
It's not that you don't like Yuki, she has always been friendly and fun to hang out with in the past. If it were any other guy, you would have no problem opening up to her. But learning about how she and Choso have history makes you hesitate. Are they really just friends, or was there ever anything more between them?Â
âBirthday boy sure is taking his sweet time,â Yuki exclaims dramatically, moving on before things become awkward between you and her.
âWonder if he fell asleep up there,â Suguru teases.
âWhy don't we play a little game while we wait?â She claps her hands together.Â
âSure, what do you have in mind?â Shoko smiles at her.
âFuck, marry, kill?â She asks, your other friends murmur agreements.
You seem to tone most of it out as you sip your drink, listening to your friends laugh back and forth. No one was off limits; friends, celebrities, professors from KU. But your mind was distracted, wondering if Choso would ever come out of his room or if you should sneak up there to check on him.
âYour turn!â Shoko squeezes your shoulder, snapping you out of your thoughts. Yuki is pouring a heavy hand of tequila into a solo cup as she ponders who to give you as your options.
âGive me a good one!â You challenge, which she returns with a smirk, her eyes scanning the crowd of party guests.
âOkayâŚMahito.â Yuki pauses, laughing as you visibly cringe. âSukuna. AndâŚâ Her eyes go wide, a smile on her lips. âChoso!â
âEasy!â You say confidently, not missing a beat, ignoring the fact she is looking past you. âObviously, marry Choso-â
âWhat's this about getting married?â You hear his deep voice behind you, his breath brushing past your ear. Yuki hands the drink she was making to him, which he eagerly accepts. Your face heats up in embarrassment. She wasn't listing him as an optionâŚshe was announcing his presence.
You catch a glance at him, his hair now fully dried and tied up in his usual spikes. You just barely notice the way his lips mouth the word âwifeâ at you before taking a long sip of his drink, eyes locked with yours. He breaks off in a cough.
âGod damn, Yuki! Are you trying to kill me?â He looks into his cup, disgusted. âWhat even is in here?â
âRelax, it's just tequila and a bit of juice. It's your birthday, time to let loose.â She clinks the plastic rim of her glass to his. âOnce you get this one down, the rest will be easy!â
âRightâŚâ he sighs before chugging the remnants of his drink. He shoves the empty cup into your hands, leaning down so his lips almost touch your ear. âCan you make me anotherâŚand something better than whatever she tried to poison me with. Please?â
âOf course.â You wrap your fingers around the cup and move to the counter where the mixers and liquor sit. You set his cup next to yours on the surface, both empty, as you ponder the ingredients. You pour in some tequila, but much less than Yuki used, topping it off with ginger beer and a squeeze of lime.
When you turn around, you see him leaning against the counter with his arms crossed, his chest popping tightly from the V in his shirt. You pass the cup to him, his fingertips brushing yours when he takes it. He brings the drink up to his lips, taking a big sip as you watch and wait for his review.
âAhâŚyou're an angel,â he smiles at you. âThis is delicious.â He goes in for another sip before setting it down.
Suddenly, you wish the two of you would have ended up skipping the party and spent the whole night just you and him.
âOh! Before I forget! I got you a cake!â Yuki runs to the fridge and pulls out a large sheet cake with bright red frosting letters that spell out âHappy Birthday Choso!â
âYukiâŚyou shouldn't have.â He watches as she sets the cake in front of him, Suguru already making quick work to stick in and light some candles. Yuki sucks in a breath of air and opens her mouth.
âHappy-â
âNoâŚplease don't singâ his face is already turning red, as he cuts her off. Turning to look at her with pleading eyes âPlease.â
âFine.â she pouts. âBut you still have to blow your candles out and make a wish.â
His eyes lock with the flickering flames, thinking long and hard about what he wants to wish for, even though it is an easy choice. His lips part and a gust of air is blown from his lungs, extinguishing the fires.Â
Choso backs up from the candles and looks at you, Satoru practically pushing him out of the way to snag the first slice of cake.
âWanna go outside for a second?â He asks, you nod, grabbing your cup and his as you follow him out to the back porch. He digs in his pocket for a pack of cigarettes, taking one out to place it between his lips. His other hand fumbles for the lighter, sparking up the cig. Letting out an exhale, he sits on the porch steps and pats the spot beside him.
You join him, pressing your side into his to stay warm.
âYou doing okay?â You nudge him playfully. After another drag on his cigarette, he turns to you and nods.
âYeahâŚjust was feeling a bit overwhelmed. That's all.âÂ
âWe can sit out here all night if you want.â You offer, taking another small sip from your cup. He lets out a low laugh.
âNo matter how much I would prefer that, I know Yuki, Suguru and the others would never let that happen. âYou can't just sit out here and stare at the sky all night,ââ his impersonation of Yuki was spot on. He tilts his head up to the black sky above, a few lone stars dot the sky but nothing compared to the beautiful galaxies you could view in your hometown. âI wish we could see the stars better.â
âMe too. I miss the sky back home, the stars would shine so bright. We could lie back in the grass and get lost for hours and hours.â You feel a bit homesick. Winter break canât come soon enough. His attention is turned back on you as you speak. âMaybe someday I can show you.â
âI would really like that. My brothers and I have always lived near cities, so I've never had the full stargazing experience.â You watch him put the cigarette out, then reach up to discard it into the ashtray on the railing. After a sip of his drink, he leans his face closer to yours with a slight blush on his cheeks, your heart rate quickens.
âWhat did you wish for?â you ask, looking deeply into his eyes.Â
âIf I told you that, it might not come true.â He raises a hand toward your face, the tip of his index finger tracing a path from your temples, down your cheeks and curling along your jaw until he meets your chin, tipping your face up slightly. His breath feels hot on your lips, a contrast to the chilly night air.
Your eyelashes flutter, closing them as you prepare for his lips to meet yours. It was finally happening. His nose brushed against yours, inches from sealing your lips with his.
âChoso! There you are!â Yuki's voice makes you both freeze, Choso moves his face back slightly but keeps his hand on your chin.
âWhat?â He flashes a side eye in her direction, annoyance seeping from his voice.
âCome on, this is your party! You can't stay out here all night!â She pouts, bending down slightly with her palms resting on her knees. You have to stifle your giggle when you realize Choso so easily predicted her exact reaction.Â
âFine, be in there in a sec.â He rolled his eyes, still not looking her way. The scuffing of her boots on the wooden porch fades as she heads back inside through the sliding glass door. Chosoâs eyes focus back on you, giving you an apologetic look for the interruption. âGuess itâs time we head back in.â
âGuess so.â You barely get the words out before he presses a sweet peck to your lips, quick and fleeting. When he releases your face, you notice the smile curve across his lips. As short as it was, it still managed to leave you breathless and craving more.
âPart one of my birthday wishes has already come true,â he announces as he stands up, reaching out for you. You place your hand inside his palm, and he tugs you up to stand next to him, leading you back into the chaos of the party.
You were pacing yourself, riding the fine line of being tipsy without going overboard. A few drinks here and there to help maintain a buzz that kept you in the party mood.
But Choso was a whole other story.
You had never seen him so drunk. Or this social for that matter. He couldnât stop hooking his finger in the corner of his lip to show off the chipped tooth from the aftermath of the fight with Toji and bragging about how he was the clear winner whenever someone brought it up. Obviously, he was no longer upset about losing the game.Â
Every time someone ran into him, they were offering him another drink, another shot. You honestly lost track of how many he ended up drinking up to this point. You tried to warn him; told him he would regret it in the morning. He didnât seem to care.
You soon discovered that drunk Choso was also extremely clingy. He wanted you near him the whole night, his hand always somewhere on you. Holding you around your arm or waist, and at one point your hip, his fingers rubbing mindless circles through the fabric of your clothes, almost as if he was itching to remove them and feel your skin against his.
Eventually, your bladder was reaching its breaking point. You tried to slip out of his grasp for a moment, but he caught you by the wrist, tugging you to his chest while his other arm wrapped around you from behind, holding you hostage against him.
âWhere do you think you're going?â He purrs, showing no sign of letting go.
âIâll be right back, I promise.âÂ
âYou're leaving me!?â Though he sounds like he's joking, you know part of him is seriously afraid you might disappear for the night. His bottom lip pokes out in an adorable pout and he holds you just a little bit tighter.
âChoso! Iâm going to piss myself!â You scold him under your breath. At your announcement, he immediately lets go, his hands dropping to his side.
âOh! Iâm so sorry!â His face turns red in embarrassment. âUhâŚyou remember where the bathroom is, right?âÂ
âYes, I'll be right back. Promise.â You turn and hurry up the stairs.
When you return, his eyes lit up, a smile bigger than you've ever seen him wear. He looked like a puppy whose master had just come home. He wraps his arms around you in a tight hug.
âI missed you, angel.â He whispers with his lips pressed to your hair, his voice low and muffled. You donât bother reminding him you've only been gone five minutes max, not when he was this happy to have you back in his arms.Â
While the party is still going on in full force, some of the crowd has thinned somewhat. Many of the guests turning in for the night or heading out to another party. Most of those who remain appear to be the hockey players and their close circles of friends outside of the team.Â
âThere you are!â Shoko runs up to you, Choso hesitantly releases you from his grip to allow you to turn toward your friend. âWe should do something!â Shoko slurs her words slightly, looking from you to Choso.
âLike what?â You tilt your head.
âLike a game!â She doesn't wait for you to respond before crawling up onto the nearest chair, almost losing her balance in the process. She cups her hands around her mouth to shout into the sea of people. âWho wants to play truth or dare?âÂ
There is a beat of silence, everyoneâs attention turned in her direction.Â
âWhat is this? High school?â Sukuna scoffs at the idea. You can't stand his arrogance, and you are compelled to defend your friend against him.Â
âI think it sounds fun, what do you think, Choso?â You look up at him, watching his head slowly nod. You wonder if he even understands what he has agreed to.
âSounds like a great time!â Yuki chimes in, bouncing toward your group.Â
âAlright, if you want to play, meet us in the living room.â Shoko hops down from the chair and leads you and the others toward the open space on the floor, taking a seat on the carpet. You pick a spot across from her and Choso obediently sits beside you. You were surprised to see how many people ended up actually joining. Satoru, Suguru and Utahime, of course. But also Kento, Yu and Miguel. Hiromi walks over with a large slice of cake, taking the spot on Chosoâs other side. Even Sukuna, despite his first reaction, decided to join in the end.Â
âAlright, everyone knows how to play, right?â Shoko gets everyone's attention, hearing a chorus of yeses amongst the circle. âGood. Let's startâ
âWait,â Chosoâs voice pipes up. âWhat if someone doesnât want to answer or do the dare?â
âChicken.â Sukuna taunts him, which Choso seems to either not hear or ignore.
âThen you have to do a shot!â Yuki holds up a bottle of tequila for everyone to see.Â
âFine.âÂ
The game starts, most of the focus away from you two. Satoru seemed to steal the attention without fail, he answered every question and did each dare without a second thought. Yukiâs go to question was to ask what someoneâs type was whenever they picked truth.
âI feel like we are being ignored,â You lean in to whisper to Choso.
âMhm, that's fineâŚbut if you're bored we canââ
âChoso!â Suguruâs voice stops him from finishing his thought. âI pick you, truth or dare?â
âTruth.â
âHave you ever fantasized about someone in this room?â Choso glares at him. âItâs a yes or no answer,â Suguru teases when he remains silent.
He reaches for the tequila bottle, pouring a shot into the glass held by his shaky hand. Downing it quickly and refusing to answer altogether.
âInteresting.â Utahime smiles as she elbows you in the side.Â
âChoso! I'll pick you too!â Satoruâs voice announces his victim. You hear a small sigh from beside you as Choso prepares for whatever torture is to come, his hand still around the neck of the tequila bottle. âPick someone to act out your favorite sex position with.â Choso doesnât move an inch. âCome on! We are all waiting.â Satoru tilts his shades down to wink at you.
âNo, absolutely not!â Choso pours himself another shot.
âMy turn!â Shoko smiles at you devilishly. âY/N, truth or dare?âÂ
âTruth.â You answer.
âIs there anyone here you want to fuck?â
You catch Chosoâs eye as he brings the shot glass up to his lips. You're not sure what possessed you to be so bold with your answer. Maybe it was the little amount of liquid courage in your system, or maybe you were trying to send a message.
âYes. Raw, next question.â
Choso practically chokes on the tequila at your response. Coughing loudly as his face turned red. Message received.Â
âTruth or Dare, Y/N?â Miguel speaks up next. You canât help but wonder why he would pick you, the two of you had never even spoken more than a handful of words.
âDare.â
âI dare you to make out with Sukuna.â You look over at the team captain who looks just as shocked as you.Â
âUmâŚbut why us?â You ask, looking between the two men.
âNo reason, I just think you two would look good together.â
You really donât want to kiss that man, but you also donât want to be seen as a coward for not following through with the dare. Plus, backing out and taking a shot may push you way over the edge.
You push off the ground and walk over to where Sukuna sits in the circle, his legs spread apart in a V. You kneel between his open legs and his eyes widen as if he didn't expect you to even entertain the thought.Â
âNo tongue.â You warn him sternly.
Your hand cups his cheek as you bring your face closer to his, eyes closed and lips parted. His lips crash into yours, rough and fast as he fought for dominance. You complied, letting him lead the dance but only allowing him a small taste. As you pull away, he nips at your bottom lip.
Locking eyes, neither of you spoke. You quietly got up and took your place back beside Choso, who was looking away and sipping from his drink.Â
Kento was next.
âChoso? Truth or dare?âÂ
âDare.â He says confidently, making you wonder if he actually plans to follow through with it this turn.
âI dare you to kiss Yuki.â
Your heart sinks. That would feel like torture, watching his lips on hers in front of you. In front of everyone here. Jealousy is seething off you as you imagine the scene. But then again, maybe you deserve it after your little kiss with Sukuna. Maybe you deserve to get a taste of how he felt watching you.
Would you blame him if he went through with the dare now?
âEw! Gross!â He sticks his tongue out at the thought.Â
âYou donât have to sound so disgusted by me!â Yuki shouts at him while laughing uncontrollably. âI donât look that bad!â
âYeah, not happening.â He crosses his arms while shaking his head.
âHuh? I thought you two were close!â Kento looks between the two in surprise.
âYeah, we are! But she's likeâŚshe's like a sister to me.â Choso stumbles over his words.
âI have no desire to kiss him, at all.â Yuki shakes her head frantically.Â
This was all the confirmation you needed to ease your mind. Deep down, you were worried they may have had a thing for each other, especially given their history. Judging by their exaggerated reactions, you have nothing to fear.
âFine, if Choso won't kiss her, I will!â Shoko leans in toward Yuki, who accepts the invitation. The loud smacks of their lips carried on for far longer than you expected. Shoko finally pulls away, wiping the corner of her lip where her lipstick had smudged. âChoso still has to drink though, donât think you can back out of that.âÂ
Choso lets out a dramatic sigh, his hand already reaching for the tequila. Utahime grabs it first.
âNot so fast!â She pours it into the shot glass before handing it to you. âI think it would be more fun if y/n fed you the shot.â She smiles at you.
You stand up and face Choso, his eyes tracking your every move.
âOn your knees, pretty boy.â He obeys immediately, propping himself up to his knees, his head level with your waistline while his hands rest on your thighs to steady himself. Your hand not holding the cup smooths down his messy bangs before reaching under his chin and tilting his face up. You drag your thumb along his bottom lip, tugging it down slightly. If a human could have heart-shaped pupils, he would right about now.
The edge of the glass presses to his lip, his eyes closing as he waits for you to pour it into his mouth.
âAh ahâŚkeep your eyes on me.â He looks up to you, holding your intense gaze as you begin to tilt the cup. His throat bobs as he swallows the tequila. The liquor burns as it goes down, but this is nothing compared to the burn he feels for you.
The two of you stay in this position, neither one daring to break eye contact until Shoko speaks up.
âThat was hot.âÂ
Choso finally looks away, settling back on the floor and subtly adjusting his jeans. You sit down beside him, your whole body feeling extra warm, heart racing out of your chest.Â
Hiromi was next, but neither of you were his focus. You remained lost in your thoughts, trying to think of an excuse for you both to leave the group. You wanted more of him, another taste. The little peck from earlier has you dying for more.Â
âHey?â Chosoâs shoulder nudges against yours, your full attention back on him. It was his turn. âDare?â He asks, not really giving you an option. You nod in agreement. He swipes his finger along the top of Hiromiâs half-eaten cake.
âWhat the fuck man?âÂ
Choso ignored him, holding his finger out in front of your lips, looking down at you with hazy, half-lidded eyes.
âLick it off.â While it was spoken softly, it was more of a command than anything. You happily oblige.
Leaning forward, you let your bottom lip rest on the tip of his pointer, slightly rubbing it back and forth to trace along the soft curves. His breath hitched in anticipation. You bob your head forward, taking his whole finger inside your mouth, your tongue swirled around him, cheeks hollowed out as you sucked and swallowed every bit of frosting before pulling off with a wet plop. The whole time, your eyes never left his.
âFuck,â He gasps.
This was enough to break him, there was no holding back now.
He grabbed you by the hips and pulled you forward, while you were already scrambling to straddle his lap. One of his hands stayed at your hip while the other wrapped behind your head, pulling you closer. His lips hungrily attacked yours. He has held back for too long, been dying to taste you. His tongue swipes along your bottom lip, begging for entry.Â
The second you grant him access, his tongue is plunging inside your mouth, dancing with yours. The sweetness of the cake on your tongue mixes with the liquor on his, creating an addictive combo that only makes you want more. You're not sure where to place your hands, settling for grabbing a fistful of his hair while the other presses a palm to his chest, your hips moving on their own as you grind along the hardened outline of his cock.
He lets out a deep moan, which you swallow in turn. His hands fly to your ass, pads of his fingers digging in as he helps you move, eliciting more and more noises from his throat. When his mouth opens in another shameless moan, you take the opportunity to slip your tongue inside. Taking the lead, which he seems to enjoy as well.
There is no telling how much time has passed. It could have been an hour, even though it only felt like a brief second.
Choso finally pulls away, lying back on the floor and pulling you down to rest on top of him. His chest heaving as he attempts to catch his breath. He presses his nose into the crook of your neck, soft pants of air tickling the exposed skin.
The room was quiet. Your friends from earlier quickly cleared out to another area of the house, ending the game. No one wanted to sit around and watch as the two of you groped each other. Choso sucks in a deep inhale.
âDifferent perfume?â He notes, surprising you that he can tell the difference even while wasted. He tenderly kisses along your neck.
âYeah.âÂ
âI like the other one better.â He nips your neck, causing you to gasp sharply. âI like when you smell sweet like honey, makes me want to eat you.â He kisses the bite he left, his tongue soothing over your skin.
Noted.
âCan I show you something? Upstairs?â He whispers on your skin in between light kisses. âAndâŚâ He trails off, pulling away from your neck to look you in the eyes. âWill you stay with me tonight? Please?â His voice comes out in a needy whine with the last word; he looks almost ready to beg you.
How could you deny him?
âAnything the birthday boy wants,â You purr, kissing the tip of his nose before getting off of him. âIâm gonna find Shoko and let her know she can leave without me, meet you up there.â
Before you can stand up, he grabs you by the wrist and tugs you back onto him. Pressing a long and searing kiss to your lips, stealing the breath from your lungs.
âDonât make me wait too long,â he smirks, finally releasing you.Â
When you get off of him, you quickly search through the house for either of your roommates. You find Shoko first, leaning on the wall in another room, watching Yuki and Suguru face off against two other hockey players in beer pong.
âHey babe,â she smiles when you come near. âDidnât expect to see you so soon after that kiss.â She teases.Â
âIâm staying here tonight,â You blurt out. Her eyes widen.
âShit, good for you! Make sure he wears a condom, even if you do prefer it raw. Iâm not ready to be an auntie.â
âShut up,â you roll your eyes at her relentless teasing, already walking away.
You step into Chosoâs room, the lights off except for one bedside lamp which casts a soft glow on the entire room. You take note of the finer details your brain missed the last time you were here. A few picture frames showcasing him and his brothers on his desk, a small sketchbook open to a drawing of a cat on the nightstand. The array of band posters on his wall, you now recognize each name and recall a few of their songs thanks to him.
He was standing over at his dresser, messing with a small record player on top.
âWhat did you want to show me?â You take a seat on the edge of his bed, watching as he turns around, showing off the record he received from his brothers earlier today.
âI thought we could listen to it together,â he explains as he turns around, putting the record into position. He keeps the volume low, contrasting with the usual loud guitar riffs and heavy vocals that Piercing Blood is known for.
He walks over to where you sit, tilting your head up to look at him.Â
âYou're so perfect,â he whispers before capturing your lips in another kiss. Wrapping your arms behind his neck, you pull him down toward you while scooting away from the edge. He moves to hover over you, spreading your legs apart with his strong thighs. âI've never met anyone as perfect as you.â
He rolls his bulge against you through both of your jeans, creating a friction that has you aching for more. You lift your legs over his hips, a slight moan escaping your lips. His kisses become sloppy, he can hardly focus when you sound like that. Music to rival even his favorite band.
He braces a hand on the bed while the other one snakes under your shirt, feeling the smooth skin of your stomach as he reaches higher and higher. The tips of his fingers brush along the edge of your bra, a sensation that pricks your skin with goosebumps, before slipping his whole hand under to knead at the soft tissue of your breast.Â
âYouâŚ.youâreâŚâ He struggles to get his words out between kisses. âNeed this off,â He grunts, removing his hand to tug at the hem of his jersey covering your body. He sits back, watching you with unfocused eyes.
All those shots were really starting to catch up to him. His face was drained of all color, looking even more pale than normal. Despite the comfortable temperature of the house, he appeared to be sweating.
âChoso? You feeling alright?â He quickly disentangles himself from your grip, shaking his head no.
âFeelâŚsickâŚâ he backs away from the bed clumsily. You shoot up, ready to help him if needed, but he puts a hand up to stop you. âStay,â was the last thing he could manage before running out of the room to the bathroom across the hall. Even with the door slammed shut behind him, you could hear the echoes of his vomiting.
You get off the bed, moving to turn the volume up on the record player to drown out the retching. You're positive he would feel embarrassed if he knew just how much you could hear.
But then again, this feels like the first night all over again. Yet with the roles reversed. Now it is your time to take care of the poor sick and drunk Choso.Â
You decided to look for a change of clothes, sleeping in what you have on right now would surely not be comfortable. And Choso probably wouldn't mind if you borrowed more of his things. You find an oversized band tee of his and trade that for the jersey currently on your body. Finding a black pair of his boxers in the dresser, you decide to wear them as shorts, the bottom barely peeking out underneath the shirt.Â
Laying back on the bed, your mind debates back and forth between staying where you are like he asked or checking if he was ok. Before a decision could be reached, the door across the hall opened. His feet shuffle along the floor until he's back in his bedroom, leaning one arm on the door to support himself from falling over.Â
âFuuuuckâ He whines loudly when he catches sight of you in his clothes. He makes his way back toward the bed, shedding his clothes down to his boxers. His arms wrap around your waist, and he tucks his nose into your neck as he spoons you from behind. âDo you have any idea what you do to me?â He mumbles.
You can tell, loud and clear. Despite everything that just happened, you can feel the throbbing of his cock against your ass.
âI ruined our nightâŚsorry. His breath puffed against your skin as he planted a gentle kiss on your cheek. He smelled minty, like freshly brushed teeth.
âNo, ChoâŚdonât worry about it. We will have plenty of chances in the future.âÂ
âIâll make it up to youâŚI promise.â He holds you even tighter against him.
âDid all your birthday wishes come true?â You look over your shoulder to ask him.
âAlmostâŚI still have one wish not fulfilled.â
âAnd what is that?â
âNext free day I have, will you go on a date with me?âÂ
You hadnât exactly expected that question, but you don't hesitate with your response.
âYes, I would like that.âÂ
âGood,â he nuzzles his nose against your shoulder as he hides his face, yet you can feel his lips curving into an uncontrollable smile.Â
âChoso? Can I ask you something?â
âAnything, angel.â That new nickname makes your stomach do a flip each time you hear it.
âWhat did Toji say to you?â You feel his body tense up.Â
âJust talking shit.â
âReally? Nothing more?â
He lets out a deep sigh, unable to lie to you.
âNoâŚhe was talking about you. I guess he saw us together when their team was unloading and that pissed him off, so I became his target. It started as normal trash talk about the game, but as it went on he realized that it didn't affect me, so his focus turned to you. He called you a bitch, said some real hurtful things. Said âI fucked her firstâ and âyour dick will never her please her like mine didâ. It pissed me off, I fucking snapped.â
âThanksâŚfor defending me.â you breathe out when it sinks in. Toji is so bitter now that he knows he canât win you back that he canât even stand to see you happy, trying to ruin your relationship with Choso before it even had a chance.
âIâll always defend you.â He promises, kissing your shoulder. âManâŚâ he groans dramatically.
âWhat now?â You let out a small giggle with the drastic change of his mood.
âI really, really want to go stargazing with you.âÂ
âChoso, you know we canât see them tonight.â You shift to look at him, he was dead serious. A good chunk of his mind still being controlled by the alcohol, making him think irrationally.
âButâŚI want to.â He pouts.
An idea pops into your head.Â
âFine, lie back and look up at the ceiling.â He adjusts himself on the bed as you asked, waiting patiently as you lean off the bed to turn the lamp off, the room falling pitch black. You lie back beside him and search for a video showcasing constellations on YouTube, extending your arm out to hold the screen straight up in the air for you both to view. It wasnât the real thing, but it was enough to make him happy. Reflections of the tiny stars twinkling in his wide eyes. You kept the sound off, narrating it for him. Pointing out what each one was and spreading the knowledge you've learned over the years.
âWhatâs that one?â He points at a cluster of stars.
âThat's pegasus.â
âDoesnât really look like a pegasus to me,â he tilts his head to attempt a better look, his pigtails poking you in the face. Not long after that question, he stills completely. Lost in a peaceful slumber filled with visions of starshine and you.
Letting out a small laugh, you exit the video and set your phone on the nightstand. When you turn back to him, you remove the ties from his hair, being careful not to pull too hard and wake him. Pulling the blankets over both of you, you snuggle in close to his side. You leave one last kiss on his cheek before resting your head on his chest, his arm unconsciously wraps around you, wanting you close even in his sleep.

A/N: WOWIE! First off I just want to say thank you for all the support from both my Ao3 and Tumblr readers! You guys are seriously the best!! Every time i get a comment I am so so happy :'D
Also, sorry for the delay! I meant to be done last week but I've been so busy and distracted. (family stuff, summer activites, work, got a few new tattoos, went to pride, been trying to stay up on love island and playing date everything.) I was so glad to get a day to myself yesterday so I could crank out this chapter, and i think it's the longest yet!
Iâve literally just been reading Shattered Ice! Love it! Love you 𼰠Re-read Blood and Chains too, I hope there can be an update soon but understand as you went through a hard time and took a well needed and deserved breather â¤ď¸ Itâs been so nice seeing you writing again and I hope youâre doing okay! â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸

Yes, I will eventually get back to Blood and Chains too! My focus has just been around Shattered Ice lately. Haha!
But Blood and Chains will always have a special spot in my heart. It was the first fic I ever uploaded đĽšâŁď¸Maybe after these next few chapters of Shattered Ice, I'll write some of my other đ¤ I left off on a good spot

Content: college au, hockey au, lots of fluff!! big brother Choso, you're both down so bad, a bit of violence
âLet me know when you're here,â you send the text to Choso as you add the finishing touches to your outfit. He was lucky enough to manage some free time before tonightâs game, meaning he would be able to have lunch with you and his brothers, like he hoped for. You were nervous to meet them and make a good impression; the younger generation can be ruthless.
After Chosoâs surprise visit, your week vastly improved. While the heartache is still present, it feels significantly less now. Every day is a little better than the last. It also helps that you finally blocked Tojiâs number and deleted any remaining traces of him in your phone. Leaving him in the past and focusing solely on the man who has shown more support than you believed possible.Â
Your friends have been great too. The night following your talk with Choso, you decided to share the story with your roommates as well. The three of you cleared all your plans that night, making it just for the girls. Sobbing over one too many glasses of wine, eating an absurd amount of snacks and watching every comfort movie on your list.Â
You felt lucky to have so many that cared for you.
You pick up that perfume bottle they gifted to you, happy to have it back in your possession while trying not to think about the night you reclaimed it. You bathe your skin in the familiar scent, letting out a deep exhale. Choso should be here any minute.
A knock on your front door echoes throughout the dorm, almost as if your thoughts summoned him. Excited, you rush to the entrance, pulling the door wide open.
He stands on the other side, dark jeans and a black crewneck with red drippy letters that say âPiercing Bloodâ across the chest. His hair styled in the most perfect matching spikes known to man, his cheeks sporting the faintest hint of color when he looks at you.
âI told you to text me, I could have just met you downstairs,â you roll your eyes as you bend slightly to slip into your shoes.
âI know,â he shrugs. His eyes lazily track your movements as you adjust your clothes and sling a purse over your shoulder.
âIâm ready,â you announce, closing the door behind you and locking up. He leads you down the stairs and outside to the parking lot. The two of you make your way to his car, which he yanks the passenger door open, ushering you inside.Â
âThanks,â you smile, sliding into the worn leather seat. He nods, slamming the door with enough force to shake the whole car.
You watch him walk around to the drivers side, taking note that he almost looks nervous. Was this a date? The thought quickly crosses your mind, but you push it away. There is no possible way it was, not when his three brothers would also be involved.Â
Choso turns the key in the ignition, the engine stuttering as it protests, his lips a tight line of annoyance. For a moment, you thought the car was finally done for. The old piece of junk eventually gives in, roaring to life. Choso relaxes into his seat, backing out of his parking space.
âSounds like you need a new car,â you let out a small laugh.
âYeahâŚI do.â He sighs. âI wish I could afford one right now, cars are so expensive. Even the used ones.â You nod in agreement. âBut sheâs gotten me this far and I know there's still got quite a bit of life left, donât doubt her too much.â He lets out a hearty laugh, one hand patting the top of the dashboard.
âSoâŚwhere are we going?â You ask, glancing out the window and watching the college buildings pass by.Â
âA small diner, itâs just outside of campus. Sukuna recommended it, itâs called Malevolent Kitchen. Sometimes we go there as a team after practice. They have the best burgers.â You hear his stomach growl at the mention of food. âBut their other stuff is good too, and they serve breakfast all day if you're into that.â
âSounds yummy,â
He wasnât lying when he said it was close, just a quick drive off of university property, a left turn and there it was. A small white building with big windows, the restaurant name in bright red neon lights. It didn't appear busy at the moment either, only a few other cars in the lot. He parks the car and looks around.
âLooks like we are the first ones here.â He pulls his phone out to check his texts. âEsoâs last message said they were running a little behind, but they will probably be here soon.â He pockets the phone and turns his attention back to you. âCome on, letâs go grab a table.â You both exit the car and head in.
The diner was cute inside, resembling that retro aesthetic many similar places try to mimic. Checkered floors, teal walls and red leather booths. The front wall even had a few old-school arcade cabinets that appeared to be in excellent condition. Choso points to the large corner booth at the far end of the restaurant, plenty big enough for the five of you.
âAfter you,â he waves a hand toward the padded bench, allowing you to climb in first. Once you're comfortable, he sits on the end. His arm brushing against yours. His body felt stiff, his spine extended as he sat straight up, eyes constantly darting toward the entrance. His foot bouncing up and down, causing the table to shake with every movement.Â
âAre you nervous?â You ask, he hums and nods, still watching the entrance. His nerves only made you feel even more anxious. What if his brothers don't like you? Would he decide he no longer liked you, too? âAre you worried they wonât like me?â You accidentally vocalize your fears out loud. He whips his head to face you, his pigtails swaying with the quick motion, eyes wide.
âNo, no! Nothing like that!â He tries to disarm your anxious thoughts. âI have no doubt they will love you! Itâs justâŚâ he trails off, closing his eyes tightly.
âJust what Choso?â You urge him to continue.
âThey can be a handful sometimes. I just know the three of them will find some way to embarrass me.â He sighs, looking at you with big brown orbs.Â
A server walks over and interrupts the conversation, tossing a handful of menus onto the table. You grab one for yourself and scan the vast number of items the diner offers. Everything from gyros to pancakes. You notice how Choso doesnât reach for a menu himself, his order probably memorized by the staff with his frequent visits.Â
âWhat can I get you to drink?â The waitress asks, smacking her gum loudly.
âCherry cola for me. Bring a kid's chocolate milk and two regular colas for the others, and whatever she would like.â Choso looks over at you, signaling your turn to speak up.
âJust a water is fine with me,â the brightly colored pictures of the menu catch your eyes, urging you to add one last request. âOh! Can I also get a vanilla milkshake, please? With two straws?â You smile at Choso. The waitress nods and writes down the orders on her pad of paper, tossing the bright white braid over her shoulder as she walks away.Â
âOh? You decided to be nice and share with me?â Choso teases with a goofy smirk.Â
âMaybeâŚor maybe I just want two straws for myself so I can drink it faster.â You stick your tongue out at him. He starts to laugh but it quickly dies out in a choke as he catches sight of something at the front entrance.
âGod dammit,â he groans, hiding his face in his palms. âI told those idiots not to do this.â The front door swings open, your eyes dart in that direction while Choso chooses to not look up or acknowledge their presence.Â
Three boys step inside the diner and look around for their older brother. You can hear the older of the two arguing loudly about whether they were at the wrong restaurant or not, clearly unable see him sitting next to you. This isnât what is distressing Choso though. Itâs whatâs in their hands.
The oldest one is clutching strings that are attached to colorful balloons with one hand, the other holds a carefully wrapped box with a red ribbon. The middle brother has a plastic container of store-bought cupcakes and the smallest one was given the task of carrying a small envelope.Â
âThey never listenâ Choso continues to mumble into his hand, the tips of his ears turning bright red and you're sure his face matched the shade if only you could see it.
âChoso! Choso!â The youngest one darted away from the others, spotting Choso next to you in the booth. A blur of pink hair as the child, no older than six, ran straight toward your table. âHappy birthday, big brother!â Though he is small, his voice sure was loud, getting the attention of the few other patrons in the restaurant, causing them to turn and look.Â
Your jaw drops. His birthday! It finally dawns on you why his brothers made the trip out here, why Choso said they always visit this time of year. He failed to mention that very important detail.Â
Choso canât ignore them any longer, not after he was spotted. He slides out of the booth and scoops up the squealing child, holding him close. The other brothers trot over to join, wrapping their arms around him in a group hug.
âHappy birthday Choso!â they all cheer in unison.Â
âI told you guys not to do this,â Choso murmurs under his breath, his whole face bright red. He glances over at you with an apologetic look. Whether he was sorry for not telling you or sorry you had to witness his brothers causing a scene remains unknown. When the brothers release him, he turns his whole body to face you.
âY/N, these are my brothers: Eso, Kechizu and Yuji.â He introduces them in order of oldest to youngest, setting Yuji back on the ground once he says his name. He turns to face the three of them, waving a hand to where you sit in the booth. âThis is myâŚfriend, Y/Nâ
âItâs nice to finally meet you,â Eso nods in your direction. Though he was just a few years younger than Choso, he was slightly taller. Even with the long-sleeved shirt covering his body, you could tell he was muscular, making you wonder if he also played sports to follow in his big brother's footsteps. Two pairs of piercings adorn each eyebrow, a dark brown tuft of hair atop his head and skin several shades darker than Chosoâs.
âChoso has told us a lot about you,â Kechizu smiles, throwing a teasing look toward Choso. The middle of the three was significantly shorter than Choso and Eso, but you remember that he is only a high school freshman and likely has a lot more growing to do. His hair was dyed an artificial teal color, with thick bangs that covered his eyes. He must have just entered his emo phase, you think to yourself. He also had light freckles on his pale cheeks, and when his mouth opened, you would catch a glimpse of a slight gap between his top front two teeth.Â
âHi! Iâm Yuji!â The youngest boy introduces himself. His happy energy is infectious; just looking at him makes you smile.Â
âGreat, now that we are all acquainted with each other, let's sit, calm down, and act normal.â His eyes quickly shift in the direction of another couple in the diner who was still watching your noisy corner.Â
Eso and Kechizu nod, tying the balloons to the table leg, then setting the preset and cupcakes on top of the surface before filing into the other side of the booth. Yuji, however, tosses the envelope he was holding on the table and hops into the spot next to you, essentially stealing Chosoâs seat.
âYujiâŚâ Choso frowns, not happy that his little brother claimed the spot next to you.
âItâs fine Choso,â you assure him, ruffling the strawberry hair of the littlest brother. âI donât mind.â Choso is unable to hide his pout, looking at you as if you just told him Yuji was your new favorite.
He canât accept this defeat, so he lifts Yuji from the booth and sits down beside you, letting his brother sit on top of his lap. Both boys happy to be next to you now.Â
âYou're really pretty, just like he told me!â The young boy announces, eyes shining as he looks up at you. Choso quickly looks away, his face heating up from embarrassment yet again. You can faintly hear him muttering to himself about not being able to survive today.
âThank you Yuji!â You giggle, enjoying Chosoâs flustered reaction.Â
When Choso finally calms his beating heart, he turns to look at you again. Being met with your jokingly disapproving stare, your eyes narrowed at him.
âWhat's that look for?â He scoffs.
âWhen were you going to tell me that today is your birthday!?â You nudge his shoulder with your own.
âPreferably neverâ he mumbles under his breath, glaring over to Eso and Kechizu across the table. Thanks to them, his cover was blown completely.Â
âBig bro has never liked his birthday,â Kechizu speaks up.
âWhy not?â
âI don't like the attention,â Choso grumbles. âEveryone looking at you, expecting you to act a certain way. It just makes me so anxiousâ he pouts, resting his chin on top of Yuji's soft pink hair.
âSorry,â Eso sounds a little guilty. âWe didn't want to make you uncomfortable, but you always go above and beyond for all of our birthdays, we wanted to surprise youâ
âI know,â Choso sighs. âI know you didn't mean to. I'm not mad, I love you guys.â Chosoâs smile returns. âThanks for coming up here today, I'm so grateful I could see you all on my birthday.âÂ
The waitress returns and passes the drinks out to each of you, placing the milkshake with two pink paper straws between you and Choso. She writes down your food orders before disappearing yet again.
You lean forward to sip the milkshake, but Choso had the same idea. Both your noses bumping together as your lips meet the straws.
âSorry,â he pulls away hesitantly.Â
âNo go ahead, it's your birthday after all,â he nods and leans forward to take a sip. âI wish you would have told me though!â You pout as you continue to speak.
âI'm sorryâ he sighs, his lips releasing the straw, a fleck of whipped cream sticking to the tip of his nose. âI really am, I didn't mean to keep it a secret.â His knee purposefully bumps yours under the table.
âI forgive youâŚfor nowâ you tease, wiping the mess from his face with your napkin. Across the table, Kechizu is making loud gagging noises at you two. Choso rolls his eyes.
Time is passed waiting for the food by learning about each of them individually. Eso does in fact play sports, football in the fall and soccer in the spring. Kechizu, on the other hand, is really good at art. You can see the pride in Chosoâs eyes as his younger brother shows off his recent projects to you.Â
âAnd I start t-ball this year!â Yuji announced.
âIs that so?â Choso smiles, messing up his baby brotherâs hair.
âWill you come to my games? WIll you help me practice!? Will you bring her too?â Yuji bombards Choso with questions.
âWe will see,â Choso laughs as he catches a glimpse of your smile, a low rumble in his chest.Â
While all the brothers vary drastically in looks and personality, you still catch sight of the small details of Choso rubbed off on each one. Itâs clear how much they look up to him, a product of how he helped nurture them during their childhood. During his own childhood even. Choso has always been by their side, caring for them even as he struggled with his own youth.
The way his brothers look at him across the table let you know just how much they appreciate him. The bond between these boys makes your heart feel so full. Losing your parents at such a young age must have been so hard for them, but at least they had each other through it all.Â
Choso was right about this place, the food was delicious. You had never seen him devour anything so fast, it's almost like he inhaled the burger. Not a single bite left behind. You also watched how he pretended not to notice when Yujiâs little fingers would swipe fries off his plate.
You lean back in the booth, feeling utterly stuffed. But just when you thought you couldnât handle another bite, Kechizu begins to pass cupcakes out.
âIâm so full,â You goran loudly.Â
âAww come on, just a little cupcake. If you canât finish it, I will.â Choso teases, already unwrapping his own and taking a large bite. You sigh, deciding to appease him and try to enjoy his birthday treat. Your teeth sink in, the flavors bathing your taste buds.
Itâs sweet, so sweet it makes your teeth ache almost immediately. Rich red velvet with a thick dollop of cream cheese frosting. One bite is all you think your stomach can handle, setting the cupcake back down on the wrapper.Â
âI canâtâ You groan, giving up in defeat.Â
âGive it to me,â Choso mumbles as he finishes his last bite, crumbs and frosting clinging to his cheek. You grab what remains of your cupcake and raise it to Chosoâs lips, he doesn't hesitate to lean closer and take the remaining cake in his mouth, his lips gently brushing against the tips of your fingers. With eyes shut, he hums happily as he enjoys the overly sweet dessert.Â
âYou're such a messy eater,â you whisper, rolling your eyes as your thumb wipes the remnants from his skin. He slightly leans into your touch, letting out a low hum in agreement.
After his cake, Choso opens the card Yuji was holding earlier. It was just a simple store-bought card with a crisp twenty-dollar bill from their grandpa sitting inside. But Yuji took liberty in decorating it, drawing a picture of all four brothers together.Â
âIs this me?â Choso asks, pointing to the purple stick figure with scribbled spikes for hair.Â
Yes!â Yuji beams, clearly proud of his work. You notice Chosoâs eyes start to get a bit glossy, looking from Yuji and back to the drawing again.Â
âWe got you this, too,â Eso slides the wrapped box across the table. Choso stared down at the present. âKechizu and I did some work around the neighborhood the past few months to get you this.â Both boys smile at their older brother.
âYou guysâŚyou didnât have to...â Choso pouts, his fingers carefully pulling the ribbon off. Gingerly tearing the wrapping paper from the cardboard box before opening the top, his breath catches in his throat when his eyes land on the gift inside.
He holds up a vinyl, you recognize it as Piercing Bloodâs newest album, it only came out last Friday. Choso sent you the link the second it was released, which you immediately listened to so you could talk about it with him all night. The cover is matte black with a glossy red arrow cutting through the bandâs name. But the silver ink gets your attention, signatures from all the band members.
âI canât thank you enough, this is so amazing,â Chosoâs voice is hoarse, barely restrained tears clinging to his bottom lashes. âHow did you two even afford this?â He sounds almost worried, unworthy of the gift.
âDonât worry about it, happy birthday big brother,â Eso smiles. Kechizu and Yuji echo their own happy birthdays as well.Â
âCan I go play that game!â Yuji points to the arcade cabinet across the restaurant, interrupting the emotional moment.Â
âNot right now, Yujiâ Choso begins to say, you can see the defeated look in the younger brotherâs eyes.
âItâs ok Choso, I can go play with himâ You offer, Yujiâs grin immediately widening and looking up at his brother with pleading eyes. Choso opens his mouth, almost looking like heâs about to decline your offer. His mind battling between keeping you both as close as possible and wanting to prove he trusts you with Yuji.
âOkay,â he finally nods. Sliding out of the booth so you and Yuji can walk over to the arcade corner. He continues to stand as you both walk away, only sitting back down when he is sure you were in front of the games.
âLetâs play this one!â Yuji shouts, pointing to the two-player fighting game. You nod, helping him climb onto the high-top stool before sitting on the one next to him. You drop a few quarters into the machine, taking you both to a character select screen.Â
You decide to take it easy on him, he is just a kid after all. And what would Choso think if his baby brother ran back to the table crying because you showed him no mercy. Your strategy was simple: jump around a bit, face the wrong way when you kicked, purposefully let his attacks land. Just show him a good time.
Oh how wrong you were.
Yuji was faster, he hit harder. He was able to figure out combo attacks you have never even seen before. You stare at the screen, jaw dropped as the K.O. flashes brightly.Â
âI win!â he gloats.
âOh you're so on now,â you taunt back, really getting into game mode now.
You arenât sure how many rounds the two of you played. You won a few, but he seemed to come out victorious time and time again. Both of you were having a great time, you didnât think it would be this much fun playing games with a six year old.Â
âHow is he?â Chosoâs voice catches your attention from across the restaurant. Looking over your shoulder, you see him still sitting with his other brothers at the table. The waitress comes by with the bill, placing it face down. Choso turns it over, winces slightly and pulls out the cash from the card before grabbing some extra bills from his wallet.
âPay attention!â Yuji snaps at you as he lands blow after blow on your character. You attempt to play but you can't help overhearing their conversation.
âOkâŚbut not great,â Eso responds.Â
âHe wanted to come today too,â Kechizu adds sadly. âBut he's been so weak lately, so frail.â
âPlus, being around so many people wouldnât be good either, heâs been getting sick a lot more.â Eso continues. âHeâs been spending a lot of time in bed, eating less, and lots of doctorâs visits.â
âI hope I can make it home for Christmas this year, I want to see him beforeââ Chosoâs worried voice is drowned out by Yujiâs excited squeal next to you. He beat you again, easily as you were only half paying attention.
âOkay, I think that's enough games for one day.â You announce, attempting to stand up. Yujiâs small hand wraps around your sleeve, tugging at you as he says your name quietly. âWhat is it?â You ask, leaning your head close to his so he can whisper.
âUmâŚdo you like my brother? Like, do you like like him?â He whispers, an almost hopeful gleam in his brown eyes. His question throws you off guard, but just like Choso, this kid proves to be extra perceptive.Â
âCan you keep a secret?â You ask back, watching as he nods up and down enthusiastically, even though you donât believe him one bit. âI do.â His smile widens.
âI think he likes you tooâ
âWhat are you two whispering about?â Choso asks, skeptical, narrowing his eyes as he approaches. Eso and Kechizu following close behind.
âOooh nothing,â you tease, throwing a look at Yuji who giggles in return.Â
âWe should get going, I need to head back and prepare for the game later,â Choso continues. You and Yuji slide off the stool before joining Choso at his side. He leads the group out into the parking lot to where his car is parked, carefully securing the present, card and balloons in the back seat. Â
âIt was nice meeting you! Will we see you at the game later?â Eso asks, Kechizu leaning on the side of Chosoâs car.Â
âOf course! I wouldnât miss it for the world!â
Before leaving, the brothers give Choso one last hug. You can hear his hushed murmurs of thanks before they depart. Eso and Kechizu walk off toward the white truck he drove, borrowed from their grandfather. Yuji pauses, giving you a hug too before scurrying off to join his brothers.
You and Choso both settle into the seats of his car, sitting in silence for a moment as he starts the engine. He extends his arm and rests it on your seat, head turning to look out the back as he reverses out of the parking space and drives out to the main road.
âSeems like my brothers liked you, especially Yuji.â he comments as he faces forward.
âI liked them too, all of them.â You admit sincerely with a smile. âThank you for taking me todayâŚand for buying my lunch, I could have paid for my own meal.â
âIt's nothing, I asked you to come along anyways.âÂ
âYou shouldnât have to pay, itâs your birthday after all!â You pause. âGod Choso, I didnât even get you a present! Here I was sitting at lunch with your brothers, who all brought something for you, and I came empty handed like a jerk.â
âYou're not a jerk,â he laughs to himself, unable to control the smile on his face. âAnd you donât have to get me anything, I just enjoy spending time with you. That's all I want for my birthday anyway.â
You open your mouth to protest, but stop as you feel the rapid succession of vibrations in your pocket. You quickly check the messages, confused by the unknown number spam texting you. Your brows pinched together as you read them.
Unknown #: Hey!!
Unknown #: Y/N??
Unknown #: You there?Â
Unknown #: Sorry, I got your number from Shoko. Hope thatâs ok!!
Unknown #: Itâs Yuki!
Oh! Yuki! You've hung out with her a few times, but she was more of Shokoâs friend than yours. You werenât exactly sure why she would message you out of the blue like this.
You: Hey! Whatâs up?
Yuki: Hi! I just wanted to see if Choso mentioned the party to you tonight?
You: No? What party?Â
You: After party for tonightâs game?
Yuki: Of course he didn'tâŚ
Yuki: Yeah, itâs at the hockey house, its kinda for Choso too
Yuki: He mentioned to me that no one has ever thrown him a party before
You try not to feel offended that other people, especially another girl, knew it was Chosoâs birthday today, and you didnât. You try to tell yourself that itâs because they are teammates, they have known each other longer. But it still kind of stings.
You: Does he want a party?
Yuki: Suguru and I asked him and he told us to âdo whateverâ
âChoso?â You speak up, he turns to look at you for a brief second before turning back to the road. Just enough to let you know you have his attention. âWhy didnât you tell me about the party at your place tonight?â He groans the second the word party leaves your lips.
âBecause I didnât want to go.â
âBut what if I came with you? Think about it, we could recreate the night we first metâŚbut I won't get as drunk this time.â He considers your offer, chewing his bottom lip.
âDealâ he pulls the car into the parking lot outside your dorm. âJust promise you wonât wake up and forget my name this time.â
âI promise.â You laugh, sending Yuki a follow up text letting her know you will be there tonight. You reach for the door handle to exit the car.
âWait,â Choso stops you. âI have something for you.â
âCho, you're supposed to receive presents on your birthday, not the other way around.â
âItâs not like that,â He laughs, reaching for a paper bag in the back seat, setting it in your lap. You reach in and your hands feel some kind of thick cloth inside. You grab it and lift it out, navy with red accents. A shirt you assume. Unfolding it, you see the KU Curses logo on the front, and when you flip it around, you're met with a big 07 and KAMO in bold letters. You look at him, wide-eyed, as you set it back down in your lap, clenching your fists around the fabric.
âItâs clean, I promise!â He teases. âBut itâs supposed to be good luck when someone wears your jersey to a game. And I want my good luck charm to be extra lucky tonight.â He reaches one hand forward and wraps it around your fist, softly gripping both you and the jersey below. âWould you wear this for me?â He looks deeply into your eyes.
You looked damn good in his jersey, even with how big it was due to the absence of gear underneath. Hidden out of sight instead is your favorite matching pair of bra and pantiesâŚjust in case. You walk happily up to the arena, Shoko, Utahime and Satoru trailing behind.
âWhat's got you all happy today?â Satoru teases, locking his arm with yours as the two of you skip along the sidewalk. Both of you almost matching, your back proudly showing off KAMO while his says GETO.
âNot much, just having a really good day today.â Nothing has been able to wipe the smile off your face since Choso dropped you off, your cheeks were even starting to hurt.
âYour date with your boyfriend went well, I take it?â
âHeâs not my boyfriend, and it wasnât a date.â You correct him for the 4th time today.Â
âRight, right. Just meeting his familyâŚtotally not a big deal. Totally not boyfriend-girlfriend activities.â You both stop, he grasps both sides of your arms as he locks eyes with you through his dark shades. âAnd giving you his jersey to wear tonight, that's something casual friends do too, isnât it?â You bite your lip, unable to think up a witty retort. Unsure what you and Choso even are at this point. Caught in limbo between friends and dating.
âGive it a rest, Gojo,â Utahime sighs as her and Shoko catch up to you. Satoru turns to her and scrunches his face into an exaggerated frown at her scolding.
âCome on, Iâm just teasing her. She acted the same way before me and Suguru first got together.â Itâs true, you teased him nonstop until he finally admitted he did have feelings for him. In the end he thinks it helped, without you pushing him slightly out of his comfort zone to explore the connection, they may have never gotten together in the first place.
âYou gonna be okay tonight?â Shoko asks, leaning her shoulder into yours as she watches the opposing team unload from their buses.Â
âYeah? Why wouldnât I be?â It seemed like an odd question until you recognized the other teamâs logo, the two pronged blade you've seen so many times on Tojiâs gear. Your heart beats a little faster, you didnât think the curses and assassins would face off again so soon.
You feel a soft hand lace with yours, giving your sweaty palm a tight squeeze.Â
âWe are here for you this time,â Shoko promises, holding your hand and not letting go. âAll of us.â Utahime places a hand on your opposite shoulder while Satoru nods in front of you, his glasses hiding his genuine concern in his eyes. You take a deep breath to steady your emotions.
âIâll be okay,â You announce, and you actually believe it. This time you wonât be alone. You're surrounded by so many people who care for you, who will never let you face him alone again if they can help it.
âHey! Over here!â Another male voice calls to you, you scan the crowd looking for the person calling your name. You spot the tan hand of Eso, waving at your group. Kechizu stands in front of him, holding Yujiâs hand. You wave back, beckoning your friends to follow.
âHey guys! These are my friends Satoru, Shoko and Utahime.â You motion to each one as you introduce them. âThese are Chosoâs younger brothers Eso, Kechizu and Yuji.â The group begins to split into several small conversations, Yuji sticking close to you as he fills you in on what the brothers did in the few hours since seeing you last.
Choso walks out of the arena, hair soft and loose, the slight breeze tousling it as he joins the big group. After dropping his gear off in the locker room, he had expected to meet up with his brothers for a quick second before changing and stretching. He was pleasantly surprised to see you had joined up with them yet again.
âHey,â his voice startles you as he announces his presence. You spin around to face him. He almost seems like he's glowing, his smile lighting up his whole face, just as gleeful as you after todayâs shared lunch. His eyes scan you up and down for a quick moment, voice dropping down an octave. âYou lookâŚreally good.â
âYou like seeing me in your clothes?â You smirk, you expect him to get flustered, but you're only met with his new found confidence.Â
âYeahâŚI do.â His husky voice makes your whole body feel warm. Your throat goes dry as you look at his perfect lips, watching as his grin only grows wider when he realizes where you are staring. God, how you want to feel them pressed against your own.Â
The brothers interrupt the quiet moment the two of you shared, stealing Chosoâs attention away. The next few minutes you watch them gush about how excited they are for tonightâs game, Yuji attempting to give his big brother a pep talk as if he were the coach. Choso played along too, nodding and saying âyes sirâ.
âI have to go now,â he announces, patting the heads of his two youngest brothers. âAnd you should probably go snag some good seats before the rest of the crowd gets here.â Yuji looks alarmed, reaching for Kechizuâs hand again.
âLet's go! I want to sit by the goal!â He drags him toward the entrance. âAnd we need enough seats for Y/N and her friends too!â Choso watches the two race inside before turning back to you.Â
âSee you inside,â Eso smiles at you and your friends before following the younger boys.
âGood luck,â you murmur as you wrap your arms behind Chosoâs waist, pressing your body up against his. Your touch doesnât seem to make him hesitate anymore, instead, he wants to fuel it. One of his hands resting on your low back while the other cups your cheek, dragging his calloused thumb across your cheekbone as he looks directly into your eyes with a mixture of affection and barely hidden lust.Â
Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me! Your whole body is screaming so loud you wonder if he could hear it.
But he never does.
âI wish we could stay like this forever, but I really do need to go and get ready.â He sighs, leaning forward slightly until his forehead rests against yours for a brief moment before slowly releasing his grip.Â
âI know,â You weren't ready to let go just yet, still holding him to you tightly. Leaning forward, you decide to send him off with one last parting gift. Your lips meet the skin of his cheek, lingering long enough to feel him grow warm underneath. You finally release him, backing up. âSee you after the game.â
He doesn't respond, just smiles as he presses a hand to the spot you pecked before turning back towards the building, a spring in his step.
Yuji wiggles in your lap trying to get a better view of his older brother. The puck skirts across the ice and, as if it were instinctual, the goalie drops to a crouch, the puck coming to a stop as it meets Chosoâs thick leg pads.
As the buzzer sounds, a mix of cheers for the home team and boos from the opposing team echoes through the arena. The game was tied, it has been close all night. Only six minutes remain, it could be anyone's game.
Choso looks over to where you, your friends and his family sat. Yuji and Kechizu were able to find the perfect seats, right beside the goal. He lifts up the helmet and flashes a cocky smile your way before grabbing the water bottle on top of the goals netting.
âChoso is so cool! He's the best!â Yuji continues to praise his big brother.Â
âHe is the best,â you respond, unable to take your eyes off him. You see a blur of deep purple and white, one of the opposing team members, circling around him and the goal he protects. Choso immediately goes stiff, his eyes snapping to the other player before he skates off to take his place around the center circle on the ice.
âWhat was that about?â Satoru leaned over to whisper.
âYou noticed too?â You thought maybe you just imagined Choso tensing up, but something seems off. Your eyes track the player and scan his jersey, the big 66 grabbing your attention. Toji.
âOh noâŚthis can't be good,â you say under your breath.
The puck drops and sticks clash as the next play commences. There was a lot of back and forth between the two battling teams until the puck was taken by the opposing team. Suguru races after them, hot on their heels but the enemy passes it to another. To Toji, who is farther from the scuffle and closer to the home goal.Â
With the puck now at his stick, Toji swings, putting all his strength behind it to send it soaring. Choso does not react in time, the puck flying straight past his side and into the net. Loud buzzer and flashing lights alert the stands of the away team's victory, bringing the opposing team up by one point.Â
You can tell Choso is upset right now, the grip on his stick tightening slightly. But it doesn't help that Toji is circling him again, taunting him. Even with how close you are, you couldn't hear what they were saying with all the commotion.
âWhatever that guy is doingâŚis really getting to him,â Eso leans in from your other side. Toji buzzed around him like a pest while Choso stood still, his head tracking every movement, watching him like a predator.
A sharp crack echos around the arena, Choso threw his stick down to the ice. He sheds his gloves and rips his helmet off too before racing after Toji.
âWhat!â You gasp loudly. In all the games youâve been too, he has never been caught up in a fight. Always the calm and collected goalie who thinks over every move he makes. Countless failed saves and taunts from opposing players, he has never reacted like this.
Toji sees him coming, almost like he was waiting for it to happen, throwing his own stick and gloves aside as he prepares for the inevitable. One of Chosoâs hands grabs a fist full of his jersey and yanks him forward, pulling Tojiâs face straight into the path of his fist, knocking the helmet clean off his head. A wicked grin curls on Toijâs lips.
âOh fuck!â you yell, the crowd drowning out your voice as they break off in cheers and cowbells to urge the fight on. Both the home and away team players rush for the fight, surrounding them in a circle as they yell. The cameras zoom in on the two players, casting close-ups of the fight to the large screens above the rink. Toji mirrors Choso, grabbing onto him as he throws a few punches into his heavily padded body before delivering one to his cheek. This seems to only fuel Choso further, the two continuing to exchange blows.
Your hands fly to cover Yujiâs eyes. He doesnât need to watch his brother go for the throat of another player, does not need to see the person he looks up to get hit over and over again.
âMove your hands! I can't see!â Yuji protests, his smaller hands attempting to pull yours away from his face. Yet you donât budge.
Toji lands a solid right hook to his jaw, Choso slightly recoiling from the force. Heâs had enough. Lost in some sort of rage, he slams Toji to the ice, falling to his knees on top of him. He pulls his arm back, gearing up for another blow now that he has him pinned beneath him.
The ref grabs his arm, finally putting a stop to their brawl. They help Choso and Toji to their feet, putting some distance between the two. Both boyâs dark hairs are slicked to their face, a trickle of blood running from Chosoâs nose. He turns his head, spitting onto the ice, staining it red.
Just a silly collection of TikToks I've come across while writing Shattered Ice. Will add more as I find them. I hope all the links work
ENJOY!

Harsh rays of sunlight trickle between the blinds and assault your eyelids. Reluctantly, you open them. A low groan escapes you as the bright light causes your head to pound. Trying to ignore the pain, you focus on the room and the details of it. The walls are mostly plain, painted a dark gray. Minimal decorations scattered across the room and a few band posters hung on the wall, though your eyes couldn't focus enough to read which bands they were. A dark oak desk sits in the corner, a few textbooks and a laptop on top.Â
This bedroom feels foreign to you. Itâs not Shoko or Utahimeâs, you have spent enough time in your roommates' beds studying and watching movies that you would recognize it instantly. It isn't your best friend Satoruâs either, his is always a chaotic mess. Another detail catches your eye, a hockey stick leaning up against the closet door and next to it is a pile of clothing you recognize as your own. The only friend you have on the hockey team is Suguru, and you would never sleep with your best friend's boyfriend. That's when the panic sets in, whose bed are you in? How did you get here?Â
You attempt to turn your head to glance at your sleeping partner who you can hear softly snoring beside you, but the sudden motion makes you dizzy. Stomach doing flips in protest. Quickly closing your eyes, you take a few deep breaths to ground yourself. Inhale and exhale until you are convinced the vomit would stay down. With eyes still closed, you tried to rack your brain for how you got in this scenario.
There are three things your college, Kaisen University, is known for. One, the hockey team. The hockey players here are some of the best in the area, many leaving here and going to the big league. You donât really care too much for sports yourself, but hockey always had a special spot in your heart. You grew up in a family who loved the sport always attending every local game or hosting a watch party with family friends. Some of your favorite memories are when you begged your dad to teach you to ice skate, convinced you would be a hockey player yourself one day to make him proud. This didnât come true, as you may hold the title for world's worst skater. Even when you miss your family miles away back home, you feel a little better knowing they are watching the same game as you.Â
Plus you hated football, and would rather die than attend a university known for their football team.Â
Two, the Animal Science program. You have always loved working with animals and chose to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. The program here offers many hands-on learning experiences and even pairs each student with multiple internships throughout the years. During highschool, you received a full ride scholarship to make your dreams reality, which made choosing Kaisen University an easy choice.Â
Three, the parties. The parties here are unlike any other university. Every weekend there is always at least one party, celebrating the most stupid things. If there wasn't a reason to party, someone would find one. Celebrating made up holidays like ânational drink beer dayâ.Â
You think a little harder, brain pounding against your skull, trying to remember the reason for last nightâs party. The puzzle pieces start to connect, your eyes flinging open once again. The first game of the season. Team captain Sukuna always throws a rager to kick off the start of hockey season. Friday they played their first game of the fall, claiming an easy win. The next night, Sukuna and the team were planning a wild party to celebrate their victory, inviting what felt like the whole university. The captain rents a house with several of his teammates only 20 minutes from campus. The large house and spacious yard make for an excellent party venue, and the neighbors never complain when it gets too loud. Though this is your first time coming to one of his, you refused to attend Sukunaâs parties before because he insisted everyone calls this place his âdomainâ. What an arrogant ass.
If you were completely honest with yourself, you didnât feel like partying at all last night. The weekend prior, you broke up with your boyfriend of a year. The first few days were spent in a constant back and forth of rage and sadness. Satoru and Suguru tried to cheer you up with a sleepover, burying yourself in chocolate ice cream, but that only made you feel worse. Having to watch two people so in love felt like rubbing salt in a fresh open wound. The rest of the week you spent in your bed, only leaving for classes and a shower here and there. You had every intention to spend Saturday night rotting in bed, binging whatever reality TV show you could find. Unfortunately for you, Shoko and Utahime refused to let you miss Sukunaâs first big party of the year. You agreed reluctantly, deciding to drown your problems with alcohol and dancing.
Finding yourself feeling this awful after a Saturday night isnât unheard of, finding yourself in a stranger's bed is the concerning part. You, Shoko and Utahime always manage to stumble your way home to the dorms no matter where you end up. Never once, in your three years of college, did you end up sleeping over. Your thoughts begin to race on who you will find sleeping next to you or what could have possibly gone on between the two of you. Judging from the hockey stick, you can only assume you are still at the house and slept with one of the hockey players. Hopefully not with Sukuna, you gag at the thought of that man. Whispering a silent prayer as you slowly turn your head over on the pillow to catch a glimpse of the other body in bed.
He lays on his stomach, head facing away from you, dark messy hair spilling over the pillow. His hair is slightly long, but nowhere near as long as Suguru's so that's one person off the list(though he was never really on that list). Sukuna has short cropped pink hair, so thank god that's another off the list of possibilities. The names of the other teammates escape you, really this could be any one of the guys. You silently wish you paid more attention when Suguru would talk about them, maybe then you could have placed a name to this body. You watch the rise and fall of the man's sleeping shirtless form, noting how well sculpted his back muscles are. He kind of reminded you of him , his body was also built by the gods.Â
The breakup is still fresh in your mind, only a week ago now. He went to a rival school, played for the rival team. You and Gojo went to one of the away games last year to support Suguru, unfortunately they lost to the second best team in the league. But that night you met him. He was an absolute power house on the ice, and later that night you found out he was a power house between the sheets too. The very same night you met him, he had you screaming out Toji in his bedroom.Â
Thinking back, he was really kinda a loser. He was a few years older than you but still in his senior year, and has been in his senior year for a while. He keeps failing one class or another and having to retake them. It was amazing that his hockey team let him play despite his bad grades. They likely pulled a few strings to keep him around considering how great he plays. You don't know how but you feel madly in love with him. Even with him being broke, with no goals, and your family hating him. He was a walking red flag, and you loved that.
The more you got to know him the more you liked him. Running off on exciting adventures together. The occasional date night out (that you had to pay for). You got to see his softer side, the part you know he only let you see. Every night spent together always ended up tangled between the sheets in one of your beds. No one could please you like he could.Â
Long distance can be hard though. His school was an hour from yours, you barely had time to see each other. Especially when he had hockey practice and you being so dedicated to your studies. You started to feel a strain on your relationship, like he was pulling away from you. So you decided to pay him a surprise visit, which was both a good and a bad idea now that you think about it.Â
You planned to stay the whole weekend, but in reality you were there barely an hour. The first half was spent fucking like wild animals, starved for eachotherâs touch. As he climaxed, cock still throbbing inside you, he moaned out the name of another woman.Â
âAre you fucking shitting me!?â you pushed yourself abruptly off of him. Hurried to change and leave immediately. He tried to stop you, to talk you out of it, get you to stay. This snowballed into 30 minutes of yelling back and forth. The fight didn't end until a knock on the door interrupted you, and the girl who he moaned for was on the other side.âWe are done, Toji!â you stormed out, slamming the door behind you.Â
Never in your life has a man cheated on you. A whole year of your life, wasted on him. You felt humiliated. The past week you laid around feeling sorry for yourself, and now the first chance you get you're in a stranger's bed? You sigh and fumble around looking for your phone, needing to contact Shoko or Utahime for help. You find it on the floor next to the bed. Bending over to reach for it, fighting the queasiness you feel as you hang off the bed to pick it up. 13% battery, it never got plugged in overnight.Â
You:Â Hello??? Did you leave me?
You send the text to the group chat with your roommates, hoping one of them will be awake. Unlikely as it's barely 8am on a hungover Sunday morning. They probably feel just as awful as you do right now. You wait for their response, feeling stiff as a board in this stranger's bed. You need answers, and a thought crosses your mind to just wake the person sleeping next to you. Looking over, noticing how peaceful they look, you decide to let him rest just a little bit longer.
Your friends are taking their sweet time to reply, and your curiosity is getting to you. You open up Snapchat on your phone, maybe you can piece some answers together. You click through the pictures and videos posted on your story. The first few are just some pictures of you and your roommates, showing off your outfits for the night. You arrived in a cute black miniskirt and a crop top with your college's name on it. Those same clothes now sit in the corner of the room, traded for a giant black t-shirt on your body and loose sweatpants on your legs.Â
You snap a quick picture of yourself right now. Disheveled(though surprised that your face is clean of any makeup), a look of pain on your face. Making sure to angle the camera so the sleeping stranger is in the background. You circle him and type out who is this? Sending the image to Shoko, Utahime and Satoru.Â
Returning back to your snap story, you can tell the moment you blacked out. Random blurry pictures, captioned in all caps, spouting absolute gibberish. One is a picture of your middle finger along with the middle finger of a male hand with black nail polish. You canât recall whoâs hand this was. FUCK YOU TOJI , itâs captioned. And that was uploaded 5 times in a row. You quickly deleted all of these from your story, hoping to save you some embarrassment like half the school didn't already see it.Â
The last thing you have uploaded is a picture of Shoko, passed out on a couch clutching a beer can. Her face is covered in sharpie, drawings decorate every inch of her skin. You giggle and decide not to delete this one, even though you're sure she's going to kill you for this.Â
Your Snapchat wasn't much help in your quest for information, so you move on to looking through otherâs stories. Shokoâs was also no help. Just a few cute pictures of the three of you and a picture of a cigarette with some moody quote. Utahime only has a video of you drawing on Shoko's face, both of you laughing so loud you're unsure how she stayed asleep. It wasn't until you looked through Satoru's story that you got some answers.
After going through what felt like a thousand pictures of him and Suguru, you see yourself. There you are, doing a keg stand. Your legs being held up by a muscular man with pigtails. You can't think of his name, but you know he is the prized goalie of Kaisen University. You have passed by him only a handful of times, never once spoken to him. Suguru mentioned he is most likely going pro after graduation. He always came off as quiet, an awkward goth type, but on the ice he was something else.Â
You tap the screen for the next thing. A video of you dancing wildly on the kitchen island. You cringe as you watch, your movements uncoordinated as arms flail around. Would you even call this dancing? Pigtails holds his hand up to you, you're sure he was trying to get you off the table before you fell and broke your neck. Though what happens next surprises you. Instead of safely taking his hand to get down, you leap at him. Thankfully, he catches you in his strong arms easily and lowers you down gently.Â
The next video is the worst one yet. You and the goalie making out, your hands gripped around his head, tongue forcing itself in his mouth. You were positive that you gave him the worst kiss of his life, or so you thought. The way his hands hold you against his body says differently. The video text said in bright pink what is bestie doing?? Why would Satoru even post this?Â
âI'm going to kill himâ you groan, bringing your hands up to your face. Your palms heating up as your face burns. The sheets of the bed crinkle and you look over and watch as your sleeping partner turns to face you. The first thing you recognize is the tattooed line over his nose. The same tattoo you know the pigtail goalie has, confirming to you that this is in fact his bed you're sharing. The second thing you notice are his large hands, chipped black nail polish on the tips. Lastly, you watch as his eyelids open. Dark brown irises meet you, flecks of gold dance where the sun hits it. He blinks a few times to adjust to the bright light. Dark purple circles surround his eyelids, like he hasn't slept in a year. His natural beauty leaves you speechless as you look into his eyes.
âYou're awakeâ his deep raspy voice retorts, no emotion reflected in the words. You say nothing but nod. He sits up in the bed, back leaning against the old headboard, he rubs the corner of his eyes. You glance down at your phone to see if there was a message from any of your friends, but your heart drops as you see the black screenâŚdead. Weakly, you push yourself up to sit against the headboard like he is.
âHow do you feel?â he asks suddenly, his burning gaze fixed on you.Â
âAwfulâ you admit truthfully. You see the hint of a small smirk on his lips before it fades just as quickly.Â
âIâm not surprised.â he pinches the skin between where his eyebrows meet. âI don't feel great eitherâŚprobably nowhere near you though.â he grumbles. You suddenly feel your throat growing hotter and hotter. The fact that your memory is missing so many details from last night, you don't even know if you hooked up with him.
âHey..â you whisper, not even sure if he heard you until his eye catches yours. âLast nightâŚdid we..â you trail off as you feel bile creeping up your throat, your eyes widen as you look around the room in a panic. Unsure of where the bathroom even is and if you would make it in time. The man next to you notices your panic, reaching over the side of the bed and producing a small metal waste bin. He places it in your lap and you instantly vomit the contents of your stomach, which looks to just be stomach acid and water at this point. Your retching echos off the walls of the metal can, tears stream from the corner of your eyes. The whole time, your sleepy partner rubs your back with a firm hand. Saying your name softly.Â
âI'm sorryâŚâ you whisper, head still hanging into the metal can. âItâs not that you're not attractive, because you are. I-â
âNoâ he cuts you off. âWe didnât.â he assures you as he continues to soothe your back. âYou wanted toâŚreally wanted to. But I couldn't do that. I knew how drunk you really were.â You cough up some more liquid and groan. Once you feel like you have nothing left to spew, you set the can down on your side of the bed. He hands you a tissue and you use it to clean up your face.Â
âThanksâ you mutter, tossing the tissue into the bucket full of your vomit.Â
âItâs no problemâŚhow much do you remember of last night?â he asks, face neutral.Â
âNot much at allâ you close your eyes shut, thinking. âI remember arriving with Shoko and Utahime, doing some shotsâŚeverything is fuzzy after that. Honestly, I feel bad, because I can't even think of your name and you seem to know mine.â you try to search your mental records for what Suguru may have said about the goalie, trying to envision the back of his jersey you've spied at the games. âIs itâŚKamo?â you ask eventually. He nods.
âWellâŚKamo is my last name. You can call me by my first name, Choso.âÂ
âChoso. Itâs nice to meet you, I promise to remember your name this timeâ you laugh awkwardly.Â
âYou better not forget me againâ he laughs softly.Â
âSoâŚChoso. Can you help fill me in the blanks? Did my friends leave me? How did I end up here in your bed?â You blush slightly, thinking back to the video Satoru posted of you sticking your tongue down Choso's throat. Hoping he won't remember that part. He nods and begins to recount the adventures of last night.
He isn't quite sure what happened before you started hanging out with him. Though he heard rumors from others that, because you refused to call the house âSukuna's Domainâ, Sukuna decided to punish you by making you drink 3 of the most disgusting shots he could concoct. Of course, you wouldn't back down to the challenge and finished them all without hesitation.Â
Choso didn't plan on leaving his room to join the party, he was working on finishing a project for his advanced biology class due on Monday. With hockey season coming to a start, it's been hard for him to stay focused on his classes and practices. He was enjoying his peaceful night alone and was almost done with his project when you barged into his room unannounced.
âOhâŚthis isn't the bathroomâ you looked around his room confused, head spinning. He glanced over his shoulder at you.
âNo, the bathroom is across the hall from me.â He turned back to his laptop on his desk, assuming you left. The creek of his bed told him otherwise. He looked back to see you sprawled out like a starfish.
âUmâŚdidn't you need to use the bathroom?â He asked with a raised eyebrow.
âNoâŚthat was a lieâ you sighed. âI just needed to escape for a minute. Everyone keeps asking about my ex.â You stare up at the ceiling, it was clear to him that you were upset.
âYou can hide out here if you wantâ he offered, once again turning back to his work. He was typing the final paragraph of his report when your hands wrapped around his forearm.
âCome oooon!â You begged, pulling his arm away from the keboard. He gave you a confused look. âLet's go party! Come hang out with meâ you stick your bottom lip out in a pout, batting your lashes at him.Â
âI'm busyâ He tried to tell you, but you continued to beg. You wouldn't give up, so he rolled his eyes and shut his laptop. Jumping around his room excitedly, you led him out of his bedroom and downstairs to the party.Â
The rest of the night the two of you were glued at the hip. You were able to get him to let loose, danced with him even. You two did more shots together, something he regretted after learning how much you already had and how little you had eaten that day. He even helped you with drawing on Shoko's face after she passed out. Thinking back to the picture you took of her poor doodled on face, you remember seeing a thick black line drawn over her nose, one that matched Choso's. His own artistry you guess.Â
âAnd weâŚuhâŚkissedâ He scratched the back of his head shyly, looking away to avoid your gaze for a second.
âIt was more than just a kiss.â You correct him. âSatoru posted a videoâŚit was a full on make out session in front of the whole partyâ your face heats up at the memory. He nods in agreement.Â
âI'm sorryâŚdrunk me sounds like a menaceâ you groan again. Reliving all the embarrassment over and over. A cringe movie that wonât fade to black.
âIt's fine, really. And from what I remember, it was a good kiss despite how drunk we both wereâ He flashes a slight smile at you.
âSooâŚwhat happened after?â You ask.
âThat's when you drunkenly dragged me back up to my room to continue. AndâŚâ he stopped for a moment.Â
âand??â you plead him to continue.
âand the second we made it to the top of the stairs, you threw up all over yourself⌠and meâ you're not even sure what kind of face he is making now because you buried your head in your hands. Wishing you could just crawl away and never have to face him or this embarrassment again.
âThen I sat in the bathroom with you for an hour while you puked your guts out, and I gave you a spare change of clothes and helped clean you up. Once I was sure you were done and exhausted, I laid you down in my bed.â He continues.
âAnd my friends?â you ask, head still hidden in your hands.
âThey got an Uber home. Satoru wasn't sure if you would have been able to stomach the ride back to campus so they decided to let you stay where you were. Utahime wasn't too happy about it, but Suguru vouched for me. I was going to go downstairs and sleep on the couch but I wanted to keep an eye on you. That wasâŚa lot of pukeâ he speaks in an even tone, free of any judgment as he recounts the night. You lift your head from your hands and look at him.
âThanks for taking care of me.â You whisper softly. âAnd sorry for being such a pain in the assâ
âIt was nothingâ he assures you. He pulls the covers of the blanket back and swings his legs out onto the floor. Pacing over to his desk and pulling out a generic pill bottle from one of the drawers. He shakes two into his palm and comes back to you, holding his fist out. âfor your head, I can tell it's killing you right now.â You hold an outstretched palm out to him, graciously accepting the medicine. Washing it down with the now lukewarm glass of water sitting on the nightstand.
âThanks again,â you whisper. He says nothing, just a polite nod in return. You peel the blankets off yourself, forcing yourself out of the warmth of his bed. Bare feet touching the cold floor, a chill running all the way up your spine. You gather any strength you have left and stand. âGuess I should get going, can I use your phone to order an uber?â you ask him.
âNo need, I can drive you back to the dorms.â it's more of a statement than an offer.Â
âYou really don't have toâŚâÂ
âI was going there anyway, I wanted to hit the gym on campus. So I'm heading back there with or without you.â He crosses his arms as he waits for you to accept the offer.
âOkayâ you sigh. âLet's get going, I want to lay down in my own bed.â You walk over to the heap of clothing you wore last night, looking around for something to take them home in. The clothes look wet, like maybe Choso rinsed them off after you changed last night. âDo you have a plastic bag or something?â You ask.
âDon't worry about itâ he shakes his head. âJust wear my clothes home and I'll get those cleaned up for you. I'll find a way to get it back to you eventually.â He shrugs as if this is the most normal thing in the world for him. You stare, completely bewildered by this man.
âBut itâsâŚgrossâ you object, a small frown on your lips. Letting him clean the vomit from your clothing just feelsâŚwrong.
âAnd watching it spew from your mouth all night wasn't gross?â He lets out a slight laugh. âSeriously, It's fine. I used to take care of my little brothers all the time. This is nothing for me.â His words do nothing to help ease the embarrassment churning inside, but you leave them. At this point you could care less if the clothes made their way back to you, they will serve as nothing more than a sour reminder of this night.Â
He pulls on a tight black shirt, a gray hoodie and slings his gym bag over his shoulder, heading toward the door.Â
âYou cominâ?â he calls over his shoulder. You quickly grab your dead phone from the nightstand and shove it into the pockets of the loose sweatpants before scurrying behind him. Once he sees you ready, he leads the way back down stairs.
You take in the scene on the lower floor. Several men from the hockey team sleeping in various uncomfortable positions. Some curled up on the floor, one with his head pressed to the table, a beer still in his grasp. Red solo cups litter the ground, empty cans piled against the corner of a wall, liquor bottles empty on the counter. The whole place looked sticky. You slip your shoes on, being careful of where you step.Â
âOhâŚmy purseâ you look around panicked, unable to remember the last time you had it. You could have left it anywhere in this house. Choso glances over and studies your worried face, his own looking nothing more than uninterested.
âWhat does it look like?â He asks.
âBlack, this big, gold chain strapsâ you describe using exaggerated hand motions.
âI'll look for itâ he whispers and walks over toward the kitchen. You lean against the wall and watch him through heavy lids as he struggles to find it. He checks another room on the lower level, and then the bathroom. When he emerges you notice his empty hands as he shakes his head in defeat. The stairs above you creak loudly and you lift your head and watch a familiar pink haired annoyance making his way to you, in his hands the missing purse.
âYou left this in the bathroom idiotâ Sukuna rolls his eyes before tossing it to you, which you completely miss and let it clunk to the floor. The chain clattering loudly as it falls against the wood, waking up one of the sleeping hockey players in the living room who curses at the noise.Â
âSo you stole it?â You raise an eyebrow at him, Choso bends over to pick it up for you. You can't help but search through it, triple checking all of your belongings where you left it. Wallet, credit cards, your favorite lip gloss. Everything was safe.
âNo, I didn't steal it! You left it out in the open for anyone to take. So I just put it away for safekeeping.â He grumbles in response.
âThat'sâŚactually really nice SukunaâŚthanksâ you blink in surprise.Â
âWhatever. Hope you and Kamo had a good night.â He crosses his arms and leans on the weak railing, wood groaning under his weight. You notice Choso scowl at him, his eyes a silent warning.
âNo thanks to youâ you bark back, knowing Sukuna is the sole reason you feel the way you do right now. If it wasn't for those shots, you would have made it home to the warmth of your own bed. You glance over at Choso, who is still scowling. Without those shots you also might not have met him.
âWhatever brat, you had funâ Sukuna sighs, pushing off of the railing and heading back to his room upstairs. His arms still crossed.
âLet's get goingâ Chosoâs stern voice brings you back to reality. You nod and follow him outside. The breeze rustles a few crisp golden leaves. A slight chill runs through your spine, your body shivering. Hugging your arms close to your chest, you follow Choso toward a black car, rust lining the edges. He throws his gym bag into the back seat then turns to look at you.
âYou're coldâ he observes plainly.Â
âI'll be fineâ your chattering teeth betray you. He slips his hoodie off and holds it out to you. The muscles in his bare forearm bulge as he waits for you to take it from him.Â
âIt's fine, reallyâ you protest but he shakes his head, refusing to move from his spot until you accept his gift. So you snatch it out from his grasp, quickly slipping it over your freezing body and letting the residual warmth he left heat you up.
The ride back to the dorms was quiet, and painfully long. Neither of you spoke, not because you didn't want to but because the ride was anything but smooth sailing. Every bump causes your stomach to stir, fearful that opening your mouth in the slightest will cause you to mess up the interior of his car. To protect yourself, and the car, you pressed your forehead against the cold window of the passenger door, eyes shut tightly.Â
The car comes to a steady stop and you peel open your eyes once again, the sight of your dorm unfolds in your fuzzy vision. You pull on the door handle, ready to run into the safety of the dorm and yell at Shoko and Utahime for letting you ever get that drunk in the first place. The door doesn't budge, still locked. You glance over at Choso whose eyes are fixed on a small black and white cat across the street, acting like it's the most interesting thing in the world.
âHey, Y/N⌠I know we kinda only just met, and you're going through something rough right now. But I like to think I'm a good listener, if you ever need someone to talk toâ his eyes continue to look out the window as he speaks sincerely.Â
âThanks Choso.â You whisper out. âI appreciate that.â He turns to look at you again, his normal bored expression replaced with a slightly shy one. His eyes darting around, not sure where to focus, fingers fidgeting on the steering wheel.
âI had a great time last night. I hope to see you around againâ he gives you a small awkward smile as his eyes meet yours. He reaches over you and pushes hard on your door handle. His still messy hair tickling under your nose, getting a whiff of vanilla and cloves. âSorry, old car. It gets stuck sometimesâ He laughs lightly as he pushes the door open. You exit the car and turn back toward him.
âThanks for everything, see you soon.â You smile sweetly before closing the door and heading toward the entrance of your dorm.
