Oscar crossed the rainbow bridge last night. He was calm and peaceful and full of cheeze whiz. We held him as he passed and we're grateful for the emergency vet staff who helped us make the terrible but necessary decision to let him go.
Thank you again for the many long years of sharing some of his life together. This blog will remain up forever so we can all return to remember this beautiful animal.

At the emergency vet with Oscar. He's not doing great. Please send good vibes.
He made it through the night and even ate a little this morning, but his rbc count is still going down. They suspect an ulcer whether that's a standard ulcer or a ulcerate tumor of the stomach we don't know. We're taking him to another emergency vet to have an ultrasound done so we can hopefully at least know what's going on.
We've transferred him to a different emergency vet so he can get an ultrasound. He rallied a bit while waiting and then slumped again. He's now in the back getting worked up.
Oscar has an aggressive tumor on his adrenal gland that is invading his vena cava. Low survivability with surgery and poor quality of life with palliative care. We'll be saying goodbye to him today. Thank you everyone for your support over however long you've been a follower. I will tell Oscar you all love him. And I love you all too.
