Self-Love Bath Ritual
Once a month I love to do my self-love bath ritual. I thought Iâd share my particular routine in case anyone else wants to try it.
You can do it as a way to just relax and take some time out for yourself, or as a magical ritual.
Itâs better to have a shower and wash yourself first and rinse yourself off in the shower afterwards as well - doing the full shower-bath-shower routine.
đˇđ¸đşđźđš FLOWERS đšđźđşđ¸đˇ
I always add flowers when I do this bath ritual and for me itâs always roses, but Iâm sure you could do it with other flowers. I buy the roses when theyâve started to wilt a little and have been discounted at the store, so I can get them cheaper.
Take them home and rinse them off under the tap, then carefully peel away the outer petals. Discard of these ones until you reach the petals inside that are practically flawless. Only the outer petals will be wilted, with the inner petals looking pristine. Carefully peel off these better looking petals and place them in a small container to add to your bath at the end.
đ§źđŞˇđŤ§â¨đ SOAKING đâ¨đŤ§đŞˇđ§ź
I love soaking in Lush bath bombs (with Marshmallow World, Goddess, Melusine, the Lakes, Atom Heart Mother and Think Pink being my personal faves) but I also add some bath salts and essential oils, with the scent depending on what bath bomb Iâm pairing it with.
Obviously, if youâre doing this as a magical ritual, looking at your ingredients and what they correspond with is a must.
đ޸đŞâŁď¸đŻđ ATMOSPHERE đđŻâŁď¸đŞđ޸
Then for the atmosphere, safely and carefully place some candles around the bathroom. You can add crystals too. I tend to put rose quartz inside the bath with me as well.
Lighting some incense is another great way to enhance the mood and I also have a galaxy projector I light up, so I can have star and nebula projections around my bathroom.
If you want to add deity worship, you can do this too. I have an altar at the head of my bath for Aphrodite, which consists of a statue of her, some seashells and small water-safe crystals.
ALWAYS make sure that the crystals are water-safe. Your best bets are rose quartz, clear quartz and amethyst.
vintage headers, dividers, and other images for your digital grimoire/book of shadows
i've compiled several images i've been using for my digital book of shadows, and thought i'd share some of my favorites!
The idea that "water is a very cheap offering" and therefore not good enough to give to the gods or your ancestors is directly tied to your own lack of self-worth and fear that you're not doing enough and therefore feelings of not being good enough to work with the gods or your spirits.
The feeling of needing to get something a lot more expensive or something that requires more effort in order to validate your desire to work with the gods or your spirits is just another way capitalism has conditioned you to demonize basic needs and reject them in order to access your own spirituality.
Until recently, filtered water was inaccessible (and depending on where you are, it still is). Your gods and especially ancestors are fascinated with you having access to cleaner water, something they have fought for you to get.
Offer them water. They really do treasure it.
Do you know anything about creating servitors?
A servitor is a spiritual being you create in order to do your bidding.
Servitors are used for:
Protecting you spiritually.
Guarding your property or your loved ones.
Creating glamour: creating a certain aura about you, and how others perceive you.
Bring you things you might need.
Aid in tasks.
Some servitors are such powerful thoughtforms that even others can see it (although this tends to be rare or is reserved for long-existing servitors).
Essentially, creating a servitor is put into three parts:
Construction.
Charging.
Casting.
It is outlined as follows:
Construction
You will need to create a symbolic representation of your servitor. What do you want your servitor to do? If, for example, you would want your servitor to guard you, you might want to create one in the form of a knight or an intimidating dog. Or, if you want to create an appearance entirely of your own, you may wish to add features such as sharp teeth, claws, weapons, armour, etc.The possibilities are endless although I do suggest using features that you associate with protection (I prefer using traditional associations, sometimes I even borrow imagery from tarot cards). Even drawing it out on a piece of paper helps you mentally create a âsolidâ representation of it if you donât want to solely rely on your imagination in your head. Also consider: what special powers does your servitor have? What colour aura does it have? It is advisable to create a smaller servitor to begin with because larger ones require more energy.
Create your statement of intent for your servitor (what you want it to do). However, be specific and create guidelines - for example, if you want your servitor to help you gain money, you may want to tell it that causing misfortune in order to gain money is not permissible. You donât want anything to backfire!Â
It is also advisable that you create a sigil for your servitor or a symbol by which you will know your servitor. Finally, you will need to give your servitor a name. It can be any name you like or deem fitting. Do not tell anyone its name.Â
Charging
After you have created the appearance and description of your servitor, you will need to actually bring it to life.
Draw the sigil or symbol of your servitor on a piece of paper and find a place where you will not be disturbed. Focus all of your attention on the sigil, repeating the servitorâs name. Visualise as vividly as you can the servitorâs shape forming. Firstly the base, and then the main symbols and features, and then the detail. You need to believe with all your will that the servitor is real and alive. There is no point in creating something which you think does not exist. This can take from 10-30 minutes. Repeat this for three days. Afterwards, the servitor will be able to function and appear on its own.Â
Casting
You will need to give the servitor concise instructions on how to do your bidding here. See the servitor alive before you and call its name. Then, give it your instruction and then send it out to do your bidding. Never be afraid of your servitor, it is bound to you and it exists in order to fulfil your work and desires.Â
You will also have to decide on what your servitor will feed on in order to require energy (you may wish to do this on the creation section too). Here are some examples:
Sunlight.
Moonlight.
Incense.
Candles.
Attention.
Prayers.
Water.
I suggest not using your blood or yourself as a way to charge it because this can very quickly spiritually drain you, especially if it is a larger servitor.Â
You might also want to create a vessel or talisman for your servitor, and this way âfeedingâ it is easier as you can place the object on the feeding source. You can use anything you deem fitting for this, either jewellery, a statue, a drawing, a crystal, etc.Â
To get rid of a servitor
If you no longer require a servitor because its purpose has been fulfilled, you may wish to destroy it. You can either stop using it and feeding it, destroy its vessel, or simply tell the servitor to stop and return to you.Â
Damon Brand suggests that you add a code word or ritual to the job description that when spoken or done ends the life of the servitor â the warning being that it shouldnât be a word or ritual that you could do by accident and destroy your Servitor without that being your intention.

Divination
Astragalomancy:
Astragalomancy or Astragyromancy is a procedure of divination cast by throwing five dice, teeth, or bones engraved with celestial symbols, numbers, or letters. The placement and symbolism of each particular thrown item matters. In prehistoric times, mammal knuckles were primarily used in Astragyromancy.
Belomancy:
A structure of divination used by monitoring and examining the passage, performance, and landing of arrows during and after being shot off by a Bow. Different structures of arrows and materials should also be taken into account. This is not to be mistaken for or confused with Rhabdomancyâs use of arrows.
Cartomancy:
The use of playing cards, tarot, or oracle decks to gain insight into current, past, or future personal affairs. Crucial in personal development and individual progress from a spiritual standpoint. Each suit in playing cards represents a suit in tarot, with different elements and senses of their own.
Cleromancy:
A form of divination in which one is to cast a lot based off of random chance or divine will. âCasting a lotâ is often gently tossing objects with their each individual significant meanings to analyze the pattern in which they land. There are so very numerous unique varieties and procedures to this.
Cowrie Shells:
Cowrie shells have been used for numerous purposes throughout different cultures across all time, created in Arica ranging from West Africa, Santeria, and CandomblĂŠ. There are effectively several different procedures to use these stunning shells for divination as well.
Favomancy:
This technique of Cleromancy involves casting a lot employing beans. The origins of Favomancy come from the Ubykh of Russia. However, most archaic methods were lost through the passing of time and are now open to interpretation. I must admit I wish I knew more about this fascinating concept.
Osteomancy:
The use of bone casting for divinatory purposes or perspective. Each distinct bone has covers a specific aspect of your life, and are thrown in order to determine your current position. Certain bones have specific values but the arrangement of the bones also should be considered.
Rhabdomancy:
Rhabdomancy is a kind of Cleromancy including the use of casting rods, wands, branches, or something similar. There are various ways to do this, but is most frequently used to cast lots for answering questions or insight. The items could range from arrows to dowels which I find incredible from a possibility prospect.
Rune-casting:
Rune casting is a process of divination in which a practitioner uses small items such as stones, crystal tumbles, or chips in order to determine ones current circumstances and upcoming opportunities. Runes are also extraordinarily commonly used as words of power and sigils but are predominantly established for this.
Tasseomancy:
A technique of divination developed by just about polishing off your cup of loose tea, and then flipping the tea leaves onto a plate for evaluation. Representation plays key to reading tea leaves, and all figures, characters, and placements account for something. Can also be preformed with coffee grounds or wine fragments.
Theriomancy:
Divination involving animals through either observing their movements, reactions, or demeanorâs shifts. Wildlife themselves have intuition and abilities that are easier for them to stay connected with. Almost all of these are also forms of Augury.
Properties of Sands
By Rainy-Day-Witchcraft
â˛Â Beach Sand: Use for calming or anxiety spells to gradually wash away and smooth out fear/negativity, for spells of change, or in magick for motivation or strength
ⲠDesert Sand: Use for cursing to âdry outâ your target of wealth/luck/happiness/etc, or add to a resilience spell for the capability to grow through hard times or situations
â˛Â River Sand: Use for spells that are focused on moving on physically or mentally, or for change and/or healing magick - Can also serve as an elemental water offering
â˛Â Volcanic Sand: Use for destructive spells or curses, in magick to reveal deeper or hidden meanings/feelings, or for banishing magick - Can also serve as an elemental fire offering
â˛Â Heavy Mineral/Crystal Sand: (Sands with significant presence of Quartz, Garnet, Olivine, Hematite, etc.) Use in magick for personal growth, focus, or motivation. If you have a sand heavily composed of a specific gemstone (quartz, for example) usable as a substitute for that gemstone in spellwork.
â˛Â Black Sand: Use for protection, banishing, or negativity-based spells
â˛Â Biogenic Sand: (Sand composed majorly of bioorganisms - shells, skeletons, bones, corals, etc.) Use in magick for healing or protection

Magic to gain wealth: an experience
So one of the first spells I have tried was based off of the Gringottâs anti-theft spell jar made by (@thesilvergrimoire) with a few alterations.
One thing to know about me is that I am heavily in the broom closet, my family being super ultra Christian, so I was unable to obtain most of the materials listed or even perform the ritual correctly. With a bit of altering, I ended up with drawing a lizard wrapped around a quarter (I named her Honey as seen below) then folding a $20 dollar bill around it, and shoving it in the jar of cash I keep in my room. Along with that, I decided to put a money drawing sigil on the corner hoping some of the intent I placed with the dragon would also effect the sigil. I placed my amethyst on the paper I drew the lizard, and then said the spell from the Gringottâs anti-theft jar along with sitting an extra 5 minutes to just place the intent of protecting my money and gathering more.
I decided I would wait a week to see what kind of money I could gather, and put that money in a separate jar. It is day 6, and I have found a little over $141 and I still have a little time left. I was just as shocked to see how well my magic worked. I was so concerned that not having as many items available, or being unable to perform the ritual down to the tee might mean it wouldnât work at all. But I am really glad it did, because I have been in need of money lately.
I know I am just a beginner, and I am trying to figure this out as I go, but I hope this might be able to help people not feel discouraged about being in the closet about their craft. Adapting seems to work effectively, and even if it doesnât thatâs okay. Its a learning experience, and everyone goes at their own pace. I would like to thank @thesilvergrimoire for being apart of my early experiences with witchcraft and if you have any questions or comments feel free to send them in!

Basic research for beginner Witches
Candle Magick - itâs one of the easier ones to learn and will give you a lot of practice in divination.Â
Color Magick - Itâs a simple way to use magick in your everyday life. It can also be useful in spells and rituals involving the elements.
Herbal Magick - This one is a doozy Iâll make a post explaining my findings on this subject in a later post. There are many types of herbs that can be used not all can be found in your country and some may be poisonous do your research before handling any herbs.
Tarot - this is a whole subject in itâs own right. Do a lot of research and make sure you feel comfortable with your cards and yourself before beginning. I would also study different tarot layouts and find or create one that feels correct to you.
Deities - This is not a necessary topic to study unless you want to get into the more religious parts of paganism or wicca.
Day, time, and moon correspondences - These will help strengthen any spell or ritual. Doing a spell on the proper day or at the right time will help to imbue more power into your spells.
Runes and sigils - These can help you with spells, divination and so many other things. Great for putting down protection or adding extra power to spells, rituals and incantations.
Gemstones - Research every stone, check how to clean them, their correspondences, and shapes that they come in and what those mean as well.
Incense - Incense can be used in many different ways. It can be used for cleansing, as a substitute for the element of air in spells and rituals, or to give prayer to your deity.
