Hi everyone! Welcome to Fireside Chat, a blog for parents of first-time campers. Here we will discuss everything related to sleepover camp, from how to choose the right camp for your child to how to deal with homesickness. 

I went to camp for 10 years and I’m sharing everything I’ve learned.

Why am I blogging about this? I spent two months every summer at sleepover camp for 10 years! After 3 years as a camp counsellor, I’ve seen it all! Trust me, your child will have an incredible time at camp! During my first summer at camp, I was immersed in colour war cheers that became anthems, routines that became traditions and bunkmates who became best friends. Sleepover camp was the first place where I could truly be myself, and I want to ensure that your first-time campers become just as camp-crazed, head-over-heels in love with their summer camp as I was!
