i just feel like friendship is one of the most expansive and beautiful forms of love you can ever experience and i wish we gave it more credit

- i hate my job. i hate my job so much. i have to log into work in 30 minutes and the pit in my stomach is horrific.

- i am reading a book about burnout and the strategies are helpful, but it does not erase the fact that i need a new job. i have gotten absolutely no where job searching the last month. i even applied to a job at a friend's company, and they sent an email to the hiring manager to recommend me. and i still didn't even get an interview. good thing i agonized over my resume for over an hour.

+ the state passed a budget so i get a measly 3% raise (after not getting one for a year) and a meager bonus. the majority of that bonus is going into my emergency fund, but i think i will buy volumes 2-8 of emma m lion. as a little treat.

+ this weekend is sunflower field day!!!!!

+ e and i leave for quebec so soon!!!!

i took advantage of bookshop.org's anti-prime day sale to pre-order two books (the fox in winter by antonia hodgson and a trade of blood by robert jackson bennett) and most importantly, as a little treat, i got the first emma m lion book. it said it was backordered and i was fine with waiting, but guess what!!! it already shipped!!!!

#eventually i will collect them all #my coworker told me that beth brower posted about doing edits for volume 9 #and you best believe i'm pre-ordering that the second i can #also it is so nice living in a bigger space and having room to grow my personal library

we got to the parade early on saturday to be sure we got a parking spot and also to get pastries + coffees. all in i was on my feet standing and walking for around 5 hours? wearing my tevas since they are comfortable.

my lower back is killing me and it is now monday. i had to take ibuprofen yesterday, and i've been using a heating pad off and on all morning. is this middle age?! if so, i hate it.

#this is a huge wake up call to get my butt back into the gym #i signed up for a yoga class after work

never expected to be a person who goes to sports parades, but here we are!
