❛❛ IT’S a little hard to explain, ❜❜ the fiery-haired femme responded, a thoughtful expression passing over her features as she tried to sort out words to express herself properly. the blonde quarter-veela wasn’t exactly the first person she’d go to for advice, but it helped having other females in her life to get opinions from. hermione, of course, would always be number one but fleur had grown on ginny in the last few months.  ❛❛ i just... ❜❜ she sighed, finding it difficult to open up.  ❛❛ i wish i knew how to get rid of the nightmares. i wish i could get fred’s face out of my head, but i just can’t. ❜❜ tears welled up in chocolate hues, and she viscously tried to wipe them away.  ❛❛ i miss my brother so much. ❜❜

IT was never a dull moment with sirius black around, as lily had come to learn over the years. it was amusing, really, how much mischief the male could get into and how little he seemed to care about the repercussions of his and his friends’ shenanigans.  ❛❛ well, you said, not me... ❜❜ the fiery-haired femme teased, never one to really boast about her abilities.  ❛❛ they didn’t make me head girl for my looks, now did they ? ❜❜ another smirk, followed by a playful wink at her friend. she watched as he reached for another book, then raised an eyebrow.  ❛❛ oh, i wouldn’t dream of it. you’d just find another area to wreak havoc in. ❜❜ she glanced over at the librarian, then back to sirius.  ❛❛ she, on the other hand, might have something to say about whatever it is you’re doing. ❜❜

❛❛ OF course, ❜❜ the muggle-born responded, pushing her hair out of her face as she settled in beside him. she wouldn’t have forced the food down his throat, but hermione was glad that he seemed at least somewhat interested in doing so.  ❛❛ i’m surprised too, but i think she appreciates the help as well, ❜❜ the femme responded. chocolate hues watched as harry sampled the offered plate and smiled at his hum of delight.  ❛❛ yes, i think we all do. it’s understandable given the circumstances. ❜❜ she sighed heavily, then nodded to herself, aware that he wanted to change the subject.   ❛❛ almost. i have another load of laundry to do before ron takes over the machines, ❜❜ she responded softly, trying to keep her thoughts focused on the current conversation.  ❛❛ two days exactly. it seems kind of strange to be going back, doesn’t it ? ❜❜

okay, so it was a super long and exhausting first week back at work and honestly, i just had no energy to write. i have a few things to do for work, then hopefully i’ll be able to get to everything i owe here <3

❛❛ OH ? ❜❜ the youngest weasley smiled warmly at her friend, clear-painted fingertips pushing her fiery-coloured locks back behind her ear as she caught sight of the mug. ❛❛ well, as usual, you're right. thank you ! ❜❜ ginny responded, lowering herself into a chair across from the other. ❛❛ it's been quite the day and butterbeer solves everything.  ❜❜ she chuckled, then took a sip. ❛❛ how are you doing, 'mione ? all right ?  ❜❜

A SINGLE fiery-coloured brow shot up at the sound of the other’s words, almost as if ginny hadn’t heard her properly.  ❛❛ why not ? it’s perfectly acceptable to be angry and i would be if it were me, ❜❜ the witch declared, attempting to reassure the other.  ❛❛ i know forgiveness is important too, but those comments about your potion attempt were bloody unnecessary and professor slughorn should’ve done something about it. ❜❜ annoyance coursed through the youngest weasley sibling on behalf on the other, and it had taken all of her internal strength to keep ginny from bat-bogey hexing those boys during class.  

that back to work exhaustion has really kicked in these last few days ( especially with the chaos of everything in the building yesterday ) but i’m around now and will hopefully be at least a little productive. thanks for being patient with me <3

you guys, for a few seconds i was able to see the actual number of messages in my inbox instead of just the stupid dot. i don’t know how, but it was glorious and now i’m disappointed all over again. i hate not seeing the number anymore. anyway...back to your regularly moving dash.

SETTLING into hogwarts was made easier by having sharing a common house with her family members. the slytherin common room may not have been the most inviting or cheerful, but it felt more like home with people she knew surrounding her. one cousin, however, had been cast away into gryffindor and it was rare for narcissa to communicate much with him, especially considering her family’s view of him. often times she’d ignore sirius if she laid eyes on him within the school or on the grounds, but there were a few nods of acknowledgement in passing. more often than not, however, they stayed out of each other’s way. on this particular day, however, narcissa found herself in need of a particular book from the library in order to finish an essay she’d been writing. not where it was meant to be, the blonde inquired with the librarian and sighed as the older women pointed out sirius and the aforementioned volume open in front of him on the desk. a heavy sigh pushed past the young black’s lips, and she begrudgingly approached him.  ❛❛ well, dear cousin. this is a rare occurrence, seeing you in the library instead of out pranking first years,  ❜❜ the femme greeted coldly.
