V.E Schwab in 2013 had the courage and nerve to ask the infamous and dangerous question "what would happen if the two worst people in the world were college roommates?"

ve schwab's books are absolutely phenomenal, in every possible sense. the beautiful, brilliant existentialism and wonderfully unique premise of “the invisible life of addie larue.” the incredible world and simply fantastic adventure of “a darker shade of magic.” the moral greyness and bloody, tempting darkness of “vicious.” the haunting story and gorgeous, immersive setting of “gallant.” the gory battles and disturbing imagery of “this savage song.” i adore her work so, so deeply. if you haven't read her books, you absolutely must.

When Mary Shelly wrote "I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other" god I really felt that

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
