at some point i'll get the screenshots to back this up but. i swear there is something sinister going on with the lighting in hannibal and by sinister I mean perfectly balanced between incredibly inspired and incredibly funny. hannibal is lit like dracula from the movie dracula. dramatic shadows high contrast looking as sinister and menacing as possible. bedelia is lit like those 1950s divas who requested a divine glow on their faces to look hazy and ethereal. will is lit like the final girl in a horror movie
