i watched the carpet livestream, albeit i was 1 hr late to it + at work + interrupted towards the tail-end, but i realize a lot of outfits in motion affected me differently than now, when i see them as pictures!! looking at the article, i missed SO MUCH? but also, i don't think ALL the looks are on that page. such a shame ];

one of the first dresses i loved without much effort. i 100% thought she and Emma shared the same designer. even better, Paloma's dress was patchworked from 30 dresses sourced from ebay<3<3. the metallic details embellished and painted by Francesco Risso (ex-Marni creative director). and her silver midas ear. yum.
in motion, i was drawn to Blue's dress (BALENCIAGA), even with Beyonce beside her!! the oversized jacket, comically large collar, her dress's bubble skirt and train, the silver flower (or star?) heels to complement Bey's. this is my own pet peeve: glasses on the carpet, bc i think it cheapens the outfit and the y2k craze has only worsened this (im looking at u hudson williams. PUT IT DOWN), HOWEVER this effect is NOT proc'd on Blue. she looks chic, like actually. the girls want this. i can only say, I LOVE, I LOVE.
i must state that Bey looked stunning in her onstage dress by Robert Wun and I wish she wore this on the carpet!
Hailey Biebs (SAINT LAURENT). this blue is seriously STUNNING. lets appreciate how opaque and pigmented the shawl becomes with a single fold. are u kidding!! and i mean this, i could cry. i didn't expect to be so taken, but when i saw it, i couldn't look away.
+ her bustier is a gold mold of her body. ref to laurent's fw69 collection in collab w a french sculptor. she said as much in her carpet interview, and i THINK she also said she felt extra beautiful, with the added context of motherhood (bc this gilded body is hers, post-baby, and all<3)

Gustav Witzoe (ROBERT WUN) i saw this and was like. ok this trompe l'oeil is gorg, and more, it's alien and interesting. but its not quite JPG (which also showed up on the carpet this year). surprised, then pleased, to find out it's also Wun! thank you Rob.
