Oil Paint 101 Master Post
Pros .:
Basically, take oil that actually dries and mix pigments with itā¦Oil paint.
itās very interesting just how simple things are when you look up the origin of them.
Oil Paint is one of those mediums that people use for the value in drying time and years worth of beauty. due to the oil being notorious for drying extremely slow, painters have the ability to take their time when creating art. and once finished, the paintings can last for years with little to no change to the colors. while okay for any level of artist to use, it does have its downsides that; when not taken into consideration, can really damper the painter's experience.

Master Post on Acrylic Paint
So take a bit of organic material, make a type of polymer or plastic , mix with some pigment and boom : Acrylic Paint.
This paint is probably one of the best original mediaās for beginner artists. Depending on the amount of dilution. You can get any finish on almost any surface there is.
Wanna experiment with watercolor? Add water ā¦a lot of it.
Wanna experiment with oil paint? Keep it as is and enjoy faster drying times with dimension. Or,
Perhaps you want some effects, thereās metallic acrylic paint. Shimmery acrylic paint . Crackling, colors-shifting, satin finish, matte acrylic paints.? Or maybe you pride yourself on other crafts. Add it as a colorant for clays . Or add glitters and sands for texture becauseā¦theyāll stick. {okay, you can use almost any paint like that.}
But essentially, acrylic paint is a a one stop shop for those who are beginners, on a budget or who simply love that process of creating.Ā
