Jesse and Eliot’s relationship was briefly sexual in chapter five, but if you’ve read the comic, you already know why that backfired.

That snafu aside, though, here’s the answer I give as the author:

OD is largely a plot based comic. That plot is less about penis touching and more about Eliot’s obvious current issues, and Jesse’s less obvious past issues. A lot of this isn’t strictly clear, nor has it been for the last 6 or so years, but I promise that eventually mostly everything gets wrapped up in a neat little bow. I’ve known since probably 2012 or so how the story will end.

Here’s the answer I give as the person who sends the series off every three chapters for printing:

I try not to toe the line on whether or not porn is allowed by the company I use. Technically they do allow it, but the guidelines don’t seem particularly clear to me, and that’s not an email I want to send. I have, however, considered making nsfw side comics that people could download for cheap, because I can promise you that there are some implications in the comic that didn’t actually get included in the narrative.
